Summary: Not just any game...
Review: Man, I had such an experience with this game. I was in 2 clans, [38] and , both were dutch clans. It was an amazing experience, so realistic. My piece of advice to anyone seriously interested in this game is to stay serious, people take you very seriously in a clan. After leaving 38 I was in SH for a bit, but I had internet probs for 2 weeks straight, and I can't really explain it, but I was betrayed, and have been a loner ever since. 38 wouldn't let me back in. It tought me great things about keeping your mouth shut, staying sharp, and knowing your allies. Remember: A bad friend is worse than an enemy. Now on to the important stuff. One very important thing: there are lots of veterans of this game around, so don't expect it to be a walk in the park. I had to practice for 2 months before I could even remotely compete. For all you gun freaks, this game has it all: Ingrams, FAMASs, MP5Ks and MP5 Navies, Desert Eagles, AK47s, and Saiga-12s to name a very few. Gameplay is intense, esp. if you are not back to back with an ally, and the only gameplay flaw I can name is that many homemade maps are imbalanced toward a certain side. To anyone who may have known me, this is Vicious, now and forever a loner of TacOps.

Summary: This game is a horrible waste of time and money.
Review: Oh, my. What an awful, awful game. I can't believe I spent money on this sucking black hole of mediocrity. The box states that it includes "solo campaign" play, but in actuality, it just includes "practice sessions" where you can play on the various maps that are used in multiplay. There is no attempt at plot or continuity, you just choose whatever map you want to play in a series of disconnected scenes.
If that wasn't bad enough, the online play is awful. Infogrames doesn't support this title with their own servers, they just include a tool to find multiplayer games that other people are running themselves, some of which you won't even be able to access without a password, some of which if you do access the hosts will just boot you off since you're a total stranger. Out of the remainder, connections fail frequently, and even if you do manage to stay in, the game sessions only last around four minutes a pop. Once the major objectives are complete the game is done unless you want to play on the same board again.
There are none of the traditional staples of online shooter games here; no deathmatch, capture the flag, or anything else. Instead players simply attempt to set a bomb, steal a weapon prototype or take hostages. Once any of these things are accomplished the game is over.
Oh, and if you actually want to play in one of these online debacles, you'll have to download a couple of hours worth of updates (it was for me, I have a 56K connection), which, again, Infograme doesn't host and you'll have to use various clunky mirror sites, bogged down with advertisements and unneeded webpages.
Finally, if you manage to do this, and still want to play, look out: this thing crashed my system over and over and over. I have a nice system: 1.6 Gig Pentium Processor 128 MB G4 video card, 256 RAM, 20 G harddrive, etc, etc. At one point, my internet browser went postal on me and started dialing up my ISP repetitively until I uninstalled everything and completely shut down my system. I have never had this happen before with any software.
Please, don't buy this steaming pile of a product. Buy anything else, thirty dollars worth of silly putty, something. Just stay away from this game.

Summary: Tactical Ops - The best mod goes retail
Review: Since downloading the original modification (v1.2) i have immensely enjoyed playing Tactical Ops (TO for short). Reasons ? Here are my top 5 reasons :

1.) Intense gameplay
2.) Amazing arsenal
3.) High-detailed maps
4.) Excellent sound quality
5.) A huge online community to make friends

I must hand it to Shag and his team. TO was one of the fastest-growing and tremendous modifications and still is highly enjoyable, and now that the retail version is coming out, the quality of the game will hundred-fold. It will have anyone hooked on it for hours, regardless of skill level. The best feature, though,of the game must be the online multiplayer feature. Never fails to amuse, excite as well as stimulate anyone playing offline to try his luck against the rest of the world with servers in every continent.

Summary: pretty good game overall
Review: tactical ops is basically a copy of counter strike. it was started as an unreal tournament mod in 1999 known as swat but the name got changed to tactical ops eventually. the game plays like counter strike and the graphix are really good but the engine sucks. i dont think it was a good idea to make this game out of the unreal tournament engine. just look how the people jump it looks really funny. but overall the game is pretty good. lots of cool weapons like the m4a1m203 grenade launcher. if u dont know how counter strike is played it is terrorist vs special forces. the game is also very realistic

Summary: A wonderful game!
Review: Tactical Ops is one of the best squadshooters in the scene. Better than Counter-Strike and no competitor for games like Global Operations or Team Factor.

Summary: Incredible action/realism balanced game goes retail
Review: TacticalOps, a very impressive First Person Shooter (FPS) Goes retail for more players to join in the fun. Starting as a Modification of the UnrealTournament engine, 'Shag' and his team of brilliant mappers/coders/modelers/sound artists have created an underdog to the popular 'Counter Strike,' and provides a nicer looking engine, better netcode, and incredible gameplay balances thought to only be present in corporately developed games. With a community growing stronger with each passing day, and more servers that your mom has photo's of you, TacticalOps is set to come out on top of the Action/Realism First Person Shooters.

Summary: Tacops: The best FPS to date.
Review: The maps, the skins, the guns, the gameplay....purely incredible. I have been playing the beta of tacops religiously and the tacops team has improved upon what i was already addicted to. If you are a CS, Wolfenstein, or MOHH player you will instantly lose interest in the rest after a little time with tacops. 5 stars just arent enough to rate this awesome game with.
