Summary: YES! Now this is a Game!
Review: This game is sure to become a classic!
Amazing "and award winning" gameplay, gorgeous graphics, and a fantastic setting make this a game a must have!
The game really impressed me, the gameplay is very impressive and it's functoionality peaked my eyebrow. The character animation is very good. The game is driven by point and click action with the mouse, which was done very nicely. A real work of gaming art. The storyline is wonderful and reignites the greenwood tales of old.
This game will be considered playable for decades!
The game was released in 2002 and I just go it now in 2004! Two years old and I loved it! Plus It's on the brink of 2005 right now and I am still impressed with this game! It's style, graphics, and playability will make it hard to think of this game as outdated.

I was happily surprised at the low system requirements, which really makes this a perfect game for laptop/notebook computers without taxing their systems!
And look at the price! I mean, you just can't get games this good for the price! It's fun, it looks good, and you'll want more when it's done.
If your looking for a game to buy, get this game.
I hope Spellbound Studios makes more games just like this one!
The only thing I would like to see in a future game done like this is the ability to have add-on adventure/scenarios and a user creation scenario package. That would make this type of game all the more sweeter and really would be a perfect compliment to it.

Summary: YALORH (yet another legend of robin hood)
Review: This is a really well done game for the PC that requires very little hi-performance hardware, yet looks beautiful and performs its functions with little or no lag on low speed pentiums. Some people on the various forums have reported system hangs and crashes. I have had only one 'hang' at the very end of the game, but it has not repeated after replaying the game twice. Of course, Robin Hood IS just a legend, so pinning the authors down on errors in the games history elements isn't really relevent, however they begin their manual with the 'real-life beginnings' of Robin Hood, which have some mistakes. They claim King Richard left his brother John in charge of England when he left for the crusades, he in fact made his brother John swear he would not even enter England until Richard returned. They have William Longchamp listed as Prince John's right-hand man, when he was the one King Richard left in charge of England to make sure John stayed out of England.

If you can get by the historical anomalies though, its a very entertaining game that can be very challenging, or very easy to play depending on the difficulty level selected. There are a number of artifacts to collect, and if you get them all, there is a surprise at the end of the game, but I won't spoil it here.

There are 17 missions in all, with 5 castle maps and 3 sherwood forest maps. It rewards the player for NOT killing enemies, but either knocking them out or going around them. Something unique in the world of PC games these days. There is not a lot of re-playability to this game, there are a finite number of artifacts and once you get through the missions they can become repetative (especially the sherwood forest missions), but the castle missions make up for them, the artwork is excellent even though you are limited to a 2D environment.

Overall this is a lot of fun to play, but has some limitations that can be frustrating at times, so I gave it 4 stars.

Summary: Too bad it is over...
Review: This is one of those games where in the end you wish it had just a few more levels.

This game is pretty unusual in its gameplay. At first, it just seems frustratingly difficult, but once you get through the first level and understand what this game is all about, it is very entertaining. The story of course is well known, so you won't be overly surprised in the end. However, I am very pleased with how the story is integrated.

Unfortunately, the game gets a bit repetitive, and I found myself wishing the game would force me to use different characters for different missions.

If I had to rate this game with a percentage like many magazines do, I would probably rate it somewhere around 85%. However, I did decide to give it 5 stars here. Not because the game is the best game I ever played, but because I want to give this game a 100% buy recommendation.

Summary: The Legend of Sherwood
Review: This is the most amazing game I've ever played. I wasn't into commandos, but am now seriously considering it:)

The gameplay is excellent and the graphics though not the best are quite good.

Summary: It seems kidish but its not
Review: When you first look at this game you think,"Robin Hood" How kidish." Wrong. robin hood is not in any way shape or for kidish exsept for the name. I downloded this game as a joke with my friends(only a demo) and I found it exstremly fun and intertaing. There is only one level in the demo version but it is so fun I played it about 14 times before I ran out of defarant ways to beat it. and thats just one level. I strongly recomend this game.
