Rating: Summary: 1602 A.D. Oooooooooh yeah!!! Review: I think that 1602 A.D. is possibly the best PC game I have ever played in my entire life. Don't get me wrong. The game is somewhat difficult, but it is also extremely fun and I think that's what matters and that's why you should be playing it. Some people find it hard to have fun when a game is hard, but I think that even those types of people can have fun with this game. Go head and try it. It's 99.9% garauteed that you'll have a blast with this game and that's why I'm giving it 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: Great Game... I Get Lost In Time Playing It Review: It was a great game. I got lost in time playing it. Whereas, I thought, it was just 15 minutes into the game, it was more like 5 hours that I was playing it. There is no manual to help you, but you can look it up on the CD under Explore. I am 36 yo and I thought that I would be bored playing it. On the contrary, it was very entertaining. It is more of a strategy game and decision type game. What do you want to trade? Where do you want your resources going? What resources should you buy and sell to AI in the game? etc. You are creating YOUR TOWN and have to place different buildings to where your citizens can access them. Overall, it is very addicting.

Rating: Summary: Addictive whatever your age Review: Most women my age don't play computer games, but 1602 AD can keep me glued to the monitor for hours. This edition comes without a printed manual and the tutorial leaves a lot to be desired. However, there is a downloadable manual and the company's website is helpful. The world building is fascinating and, unlike some programs, replaying even simple scenarios keeps you interested. As other reviewers have said, keep away from the volcanoes if you can, buy tools early, and watch out for pirates.
Rating: Summary: Adventurer or Colonial King? Review: This game takes one to an imaginary chain of islands some where in the new world. Once in this new island change you take on the responsibility of making sure your small group of adventurers does not waste away into history. The AI and graphics on this game are as good or better then such games as 'Age of Empires', and 'Railroad tycoon II'. You can work your way up the development stages of advanced colonial production, and all the while fending off the greedy pirates lurking in the cove on the other side of the Island. This game is more economy based and less military based then many of the games in its category, however, the proper arming of ships as they ply the seas is very important. Draw backs are that most military activity will come late in the game after much development and the mixing of tropical islands with 'northern' islands. The cause and effect AI and map editor are above par for most of these games which put it in as an almmost after thought. And no matter how much non-computer comtrolled players you include in the game you still have the Natives and the pirates which may attack, trade, or harras you as you attempt to build you empire in the New world. Recommended for all those you are into strategy, realtime action, cause and effect AI, and great graphics.
Rating: Summary: A must have game for RTS enthusiests. Review: Wow, I can't beleive I didn't get this game sooner. It is definatly a must have. It plays like Sim-City on steroids. Game play is a bit long and involved, however it does keep you interested. The only negetive thing I have to say about this game, is that the opponent AI is too smart. I have a hard time trying to keep up with the computers advancements. I have noticed that each time I play, I don't seem to be as far behind. So, eventualy, I should be able to get ahead of the computer. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Sim-City, The Civilazation series, or Age of Empires.
