Review: Excellent graphics. You actually feel like you are in Myst and its ages. The sky changes colors from day to night. The ages are more animated and beautiful. And you can look in any direction at any time. The best part--a new age to explore!!!

Summary: It's Like Having Road Rage!!
Review: Let go of my mouse and let me turn! I pointed staight at the object and went forward only to run into the door jamb. I have been a MYST fanatic since inception. I had already bought 4 MYST games and Riven when I bought the RealMYST since I had just bought a new system. I am so disappointed. It is so difficult to get around in that it detracts from the beauty of the new game. I'll always love MYST - (I still have my other 4 games) - and I hope that EXILE, if in 3D, is a lot easier to get around in.

Summary: Excellent Game!! Very Impressive
Review: This is am Excellent Rendition of an already great game. Some of the earlier reviews indicate difficulty in controlling the manipulation of objects. This would not be a problem if they just RTFM. The instructions show how the mouse cursor changes when it is pointed toward an object that is able to be used.The game play might be a bit slow on older machines but if you have a new machine there should be no problem. Be Sure to read the System Requirements before buying. The game is identical to the original except for the added Rime age and the 3-D control The new Rime age is small but is a sort of "bridge" to the sequel, Riven. That is all I can say without calling this a spoiler. The game has 3-D action identical to the first person shooter games except No shooting. This game is suitable for all audiences the only problem like with the original Myst game is a mild depiction of implied narcotics abuse. (Just a drawer filled with pills and syringes) If you are are a Myst fan, whether die-hard or just average, This game is for you. If you are not a Myst fan but a fan of FPS games, This may be for you. Overall, This is a great game although it may be a bit difficult to control on older machines.

Summary: The best adventure game of all time...
Review: I've always wanted to play this game, so when Real Myst came up, it was the perfect opportunity. I got to play the myst game/puzzles in dynamic 3D! The puzzles made sense and were very logical! I only had trouble at the game's start, but once I got going I couldn't let go! The graphics and effects are top notch and the talking books are hillarious! I had a little trouble with mouse manipulation, but if you keep playing around with the mouse button, you can manipulate. All in all, it was a fun experience! You'll enjoy this game! Its definely worth the money!!!

Summary: Amazing!!!
Review: I bought this game and all I can say is WOW! The graphics are the best in ANY computer game to date, and it's still like the origanal Myst, one of my favorite computer games. I have heard people saying it can't run on their system, and my recomendation is to download the demo and see if it would run ok on their system before buying it. I have a P4 1.4 Ghz w/ an NVidea GeForce 2 Ultra and 512MB ram, and it runs perfectly on almost any resolution (as expected). Another problem people might have is that this game is EXTREMLY hard, so if you didn't like the origanal Myst of you don't like puzzle games in general, then you probably won't like this. However if you liked Myst then buy this game now, it's the best 30 bucks you'll ever spend on a game.

Review: This game is great. The review above doesn't do it any justice whatsoever. If you are thinking of not buying it because of this, don't. Buy it, it is a great game. The visuals make the puzzles more fun, and while the difficulty of moving a mouse is a problem, we all already know the story. We have it for the visuals. There is no excuse for Myst fans not to have this game.

Summary: realCHALLENGE, realMYSTERY, realCOOL
Review: The best part was just figuring out the objective of the game! Exploring mysterious ages, finding clues, solving puzzles only to search for MORE answers...I can't wait to play Riven and Exile! The realMYST 3D graphics are awesome and gameplay utilizes all that my new 900 Mhz, 128 MB PC has to offer. 360 degree viewing capability brings life to a flat screen. After a brief loading period my PC flew through the scenes effortlessly, whether entering, opening, pushing, climbing or walking. Very cool. Highly recommend for any puzzle-lover in need of challenge...and don't be too proud to look for game hints online.

Summary: 64mb ram, I don't think so-
Review: This is the most beautiful game- I feel as though i am there, on the island! This game would have recv'd 5 stars from me, however, my 'slow' PIII 550mhz processor, and 64mb ram can barely handle it. I guess its time for a mb ram upgrade, like to 550mb. Absolutely stellar!

Summary: Complaint instead of review
Review: I have Myst and Riven on both Playstation and Mac. I ordered realMYST thinking that it was also for the Mac. Well, I was wrong. It is only for PC's. Myst was the one game that started it all for me on my computer. I have purchased more GAMES through Dreamcatcher and am sitting on pins and needles waiting for Myst Exile. I am heartbroken that I cannot get realMyst for my Mac and I am sure that others are too. Why were we left out? I know that I would enjoy this new version, but I guess I'll never know how great it really may be.

Summary: EXCELLENT REMAKE OF THE ORIGINAL!
Review: For those of us who have played the original Myst and Riven, realMyst will be a nice refresher while waiting for Myst III: Exile. The puzzles are the same but the 3-D effects are awesome. There is a new "age" at the end of the game that is more of a tease than anything else, but still fun! KEEP IN MIND THAT THE BOX CLEARLY STATES THAT YOU MUST HAVE AN NVIDIA GRAPHICS CARD!!! If you don't, you will certainly have some problems. I was fortunate and already had one and the game ran flawlessly. Looking forward to Myst III in April 2001!
