Summary: Quit Whining
Review: Those of you who got really upset about the lack of a save feature on this game should seriously look into losing your virginity. It is, after all, only a video game. If you can't find a girl willing to help you with this, you can probably purchase the services of a prostitute for about the same price as you would spend on your next video game. After that, the save won't seem like that big of an issue. Good luck guys! Anyway, this game is a pleasant transition for me from Age of Empires II. There are some flaws of course. The problem with reappearing enemies only happened to me on one mission, but overall the enemies are pretty dumb. Occasionally they'll duck for cover when you shoot a camera near them or you have a near-miss, but most of the time they'll simply get up and resume their old sentry path. Other than that, the game is pretty realistic. Why shouldn't you be able to be killed with one shot or walk into an enemy you had to no idea was there? Those things happen in real combat. Of course, the idea of a man running up and down mountains carrying two assault rifles,a submachine gun,a sniper rifle,a shotgun, and a heavy machine gun is just a tad unrealistic. Even the SAS isn't that good. That's just the nature of this type of game though. Overall this game is very addictive and fun. You have to use your mind a little bit, but that won't hurt you too much. You can get back to your unreal tournaments and mad magazines in no time.

Summary: Tight Game
Review: I got this game when it first hit the shelves and popped it in and played it. It is the most awesome game ever. The first person shooter is really cool. If you like spying and first person shooting games then I recomend that you get this game. IT IS AWESOME!

Summary: Good - but too damn hard
Review: Good game. Very immersive and realistic. Unfortunately you cant save and this makes the game impossibly hard as you have to keep restarting levels every time you are killed - which is often. I dont understand why the people who developed this game - who are obviously highly intelligent people - would then make the very stupid decision of not allowing you to save in-game. Although I like the game I doubt I will ever finish it, its just too frustrating. If I get killed one more time after I've been playing for an hour and am just about to finish a level, I am liable to put my fist through my monitor! While playing this game my emotions constantly alternated between pleasure and frustrated rage. Buy it, but be warned.

Summary: Best Game Of The year
Review: This was by far the best game that I have ever played. The graphics were superb along with the rest of the game. This game however is not for those who like to blow up something and rush to the next stage. This is a quick thinking game with repercussions due to your own indecisiveness or lack of attention to details. The game how ever does have a couple small draw backs. First, the lack of save in the game is bad on one hand but good on the other. They could of added more health on the longer missions or a save half way through the mission. Second, a lot of the building are similar form one mission to the next. Due to these two small items I have to give it a 4 out of 5. Don't get me wrong, this is still a great game even without a save. The sense of accomplishment is well deserved and nothing is given to you.

Summary: Don't buy until you can save
Review: Great graphics, but poorly planned - The engine works well most of the time. There are a few glitches where dead soldiers re-appear if you step in the wrong place. The weapons and action are realistic and thrilling. The big disappointment is there is no way to save the game! Even the patch that's out is too complicated for non-computer folks to figure out. Unlike other titles, the scenes tend to get a little repetitive. Once you've been in some of the buildings, you feel like you are back in them again in the next mission.

Summary: cool
Review: This game is brill, even though i am only 14, i think that this game deservers a 5 star because of the folloing :-

The intellenge of the enemy,

The vast array of weapons,

sniper riffels,

the detail when reloading weapons,

and the detail of senery.

All round a game worth splashing out on.

Summary: It had a potential
Review: I think IGI really had the chance to become a great game. The graphics are good, but nothing to brag about. But here are the major problems: I was standing under a watch tower (but I did not know it was one) for about 2-3 minuets scoping out the area to see if it was clear, when suddenly, w/o me moving, shots came out from the watch tower. Now personally I think that is cheap, I was standing in the same spot for 3 minuets when finally that person spotted me. And another problem is when I was scoping the area out the people rarely show up, If the do they are just little pixels. Another wierd thing is that when you shoot someone and they die their body disappears, but the blood doesn't. That's not bad, it is just weird( I think). And to sum it up I just don't like the overall game play, I just don't find the game to be any fun.

Summary: A nice product
Review: I recently bought this game and I am still trying to beat it. The missions are really cool, and there are tasks ranging from putting C-4 on the back of SA-13 mobile sam systems to disarming nukes to shooting up tanks with your LAW-80.

The missions are long and fun and even a bit challenging.

I would recommend this to anyone who is into the FPS genre. However if you are new to the FPS genre I recommend Rainbow Six.

Summary: Some good ideas, but No Save Game & other problems
Review: You heard right, this game has no SaveGame. It 'saves' only at the end of each of the 13 levels. The levels are huge, and 1 shot can kill you, or raising the alarm, or 50 other things. They say it's for realism, truth is that Eidos wanted this game out by Xmas. Unless you like being very frustrated, and repeating a level from the start time after time after time, buy something else. If you played SOF on hard setting all the way through without saving, go ahead and get IGI, otherwise you'll have to play this game w/it's 'trainer'. It's a hack that gives you unlimited health, but that takes alot of fun out. Design is monotonous with only 10 buildings that just repeat level after level. So overall, close but no cigar. This COULD have been a cool game w/a savegame and more levels, but it's not. Try NoOneLivesForever or something else AT LEAST until Eidos offers a savegame patch. This game is 95% SOF(great game),and 5% cool, new ideas like cameras, alarms, real weapons, but without varied design & all ruined by an unforgiveable mistake. Save your money.

Summary: who want's stealth crap?
Review: now i am used to be playing unreal tournament and those type of games are my favorite. this is no walk into a room and start shooting. u have to use so much stealth it takes the fun out of the game right there. it is so hard i cant stand it. it gets you very frusturated at times and i have to stop my self form throwing the stupid game out of my window. i mean when you shoot the gun slides up which makes it impossible to kill a sniper. the graphics are great i mean, but the game isnt even fun. i really tried hard to like it but i dont think i will ever like it. i gave it 2 stars only because i really try hard to think about the positive sides fo games and thought about it awsome graphics. so unless your a person who like these kida games, go for games like unreal tournament, quake 3 or no one lives forever is a fun first person shooter which has a little stealth in it which is fine.
