Summary: EXCELLENT GAME!!!!!!
Review: I bought this game around christmas time 1999 and i havent played it much now days. But anyway This game is great its WAY better than that quake stuff.Beileve me its better you dont even need a 3d card for it!I dont have a 3d card and i played it!But quake 3 requires a 3d card.Ha this game is better all quake 3 is for is online gaming. What if you dont want to play it online? With unreal tournament you can play online and offline.Beileve me this game will be fun for about 5 months.I havent played it sence april 2000 because i cant get the best gameplay without a 3d card you can still play it without one i have ive won deathmatches without a 3d card but,I wont look very good.Im getting a ATI XPERT 128 from buy.com thats 128 bit if you want the best gameplay go for a 128 bit graphics card and get it online because stores sell it for SKY HIGH prices.

Review: I played the demo for this from a PC Gamer CD, and instantly fell in love. I don't know what drew me toward this marvel, however at 10 am on the release date, I was anxiously waiting outside my local software store. I enjoy the myriad of exotic weapons, the smooth level design, and especially the level editor included on the second CD. The Unreal Engine is extremely flexible and a joy to work with, allowing me to dish out many interesting effects. About the only thing I do not like about the game is the enhanced (instagib) shock rifle. It's unimpressive, fires a half-second after you hit the button (of course that might be the lag), and just doesn't do well in combat. About the only thing the that made the instagib rifle more appealing was the Akimbo Instagib mod (which is availiable from a third party programmer).

Summary: Extremely fun, must get for any gamer.
Review: I've had this for about 3 months now and its probably about the 3rd best game i've ever seen. So far i've played atleast 200 hours and i still play atleast one game every night. Its first pro comes to the graphics. For u ppl out there with 300 mhz comps with no accelerator can still play. It may not look as pretty as it does on my dad 1000mhz with geforce card, but URT allows u to set the resalution anywhere to a normal 300x200 to a awesome 1600x800 direct 3d. It also has numerous other graphic settings so if u would rather see the backround more detailed then your gun you can, if u dont like a red cross for aiming you can change it, and you can also change speed, gore, and a bunch of other stuff. The next thing you can do is custimize the bots to your liking. If you want to lower there aim, straifing, camping, allertness, and there favorite weapon (my favorite is to set one bot on chainsaw and the others at sniper rifle and watching this pore guy get killed about 50 times.) You can also change how he looks and you can give him jumpy behavior (he jumps around the level like a moron.) Another feature is the tournament mode. You progress against different sets of bots working through the 4 game modes. About the game modes there is deathmatch, which is first to kill so many guys, then there is capture the flag which is... well capture the flag, in domination you and your team try to control as many points in the map as you can, and finally there is my favorite, assault where you have a set of objectives. One team defends while the other trys to complete the objectives in a given time limit. There is also last man standing which you have a certain number of lives and you try to be last eliminated, but this isnt really played much, and isnt in the tournament. Above all this there is a awesome stat tracking thing which has every game logged in and works like a web page with charts tables and other stuff. And last of all there is the internet mode. It may not be as good as battle.net for starcraft but it looked pretty good to me. My only complaint was how the games where based on an individual computers rather then a huge server, which means some 28k modem guy can decide to start a 16 player game and give cable players grief. Other then that if you can get a game with good lag internet play rocks. Overall get this game, and i gaurnetee you will have tons of fun.

Summary: A Terrific First Person Shooter For Anyone
Review: I hate first person shooters. I really do.

Except this one.

Why? Well, Unreal Tournament is hardly the traditional first person shooter of "blast everything to pieces and maybe you'll survive". Sure, it starts like that, just like every other shooter ought to in order to familiarize you with the control system and interface, but immediately thereafter you begin to see that with game modes like Capture the Flag, Domination, and Assault, things are entirely different.

Strategy becomes an enormous factor in playing this game, purely because your objectives will often require teamwork. The game has made this easy by providing you with the ability to individually change each of your robotic teammates' AI. Better yet: play with your friends via the internet (NOTE: internet play is extremely laggy, so i wouldnt recommend even trying it without a broadband connection of some kind).

The graphics are decidedly sharp for a low-polygon count game, and the lighting and textures are superb. Animation and other movement is actually somewhat realistic, and its nice to see that things are finally changing in the world of FPS.

Summary: First Person Shooter heaven
Review: This is the fastest paced (put it on turbo),hardest hitting, adreneline infused FPS game out there. Awesome weapons, including chainsaws, rocket launchers, and electric cannons are everywhere! Some of the greatest boards in FPS history. The on-line competition is incredibly tough. Unreal Tournament players are nuts! I'm addicted!

Summary: The best multiplayer game I've ever played.
Review: This is one sweet game. The ccoledt feature is the ability to easily add 3rd party mods. Try planetunreal.com for some great ones.

Summary: I was skeptical at first...
Review: but then I fell in love with the game! First off, the replayability is ultimately limitless. Secondly, there are these options called Mutators that allow you to edit effects into the game itself. Some are options such as low grav, jump match, chainsaw melee, sniper arena, rocket arena, etc. Then, you get to personally name and edit each bot you fight, and select from over 2 dozed sprawling maps. This game is definately better than Half-Life or Quake III, or any other video jock that has *ever* come out. This game now has to be my favorite game by all means.

Summary: Hard to install, harder to troubleshoot
Review: This game has been a real pain to get up and running. The error messages are obscure and meaningless (unless you're a hacker or a geek), the documentation is targeted to engineers, and the web support link again makes huge assumptions about the technical ability of the end user. HELLO! Do not make me dive into the innards of my PCs operating system to play your game, or at least make it easy for me to reconfigure what's necessary. Unless you spend your waking hours coding, I would keep clear of this game.

Summary: If you like every-man-for-himself deathmatch, this is it.
Review: Unreal Tournament is and example of the direction leading edge PC games are going. This game has great graphics, nice high-tech ambience, and some ingenious levels to play in. However, the team play in this game is not as good as those as "Team Fortress Classic" or "Starsiege: TRIBES," but for pure deathmatch, and some off-ine play with the best AI in a first-person shooter to date, get this game.
