Rating: Summary: It's Worth It! Review: Although 4 out of 5 games in the box supports Windows 98 only, you can still make it to run on Windows XP, and I can say that it is worth the 20 bucks (they should have even priced it higher because these are great games especially the Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed). Remember, those games were once very expensive (and the Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 is still about $20 today), so bundling it altogether is a great bargain.
Rating: Summary: good Review: Buy it then sell Porsche Unleashed. It is worth your money cause High Stakes is on their and you'll love that game buy it, and you'll be satisfied. But Hot Pursuit 2 takes up alot of room, so have a fast computer. It is well worth your money
Rating: Summary: This is Awesome. Review: For the price you're getting a ton of good games need for speed high stakes is probably the best in the bunch for network play (that's if you can get it working on an XP system). I'll give a quick run down on my thoughts on each game.
Need for speed 2: a decent game. It introduced me to the McLaren F1, which is a beautiful car. Only problem is it doesn't utilize direct 3-D So the graphics look pretty cheesy.
Need for speed 3: a decent game, introduced a hot pursuit mode, which is fun. When playing on a network with your buddies. This started to utilize some direct 3-D So the graphics are slightly improved.
Need for speed high stakes: this game is great in network mode you a couple of your buddies as the police officers chasing down the bad guys. It is too fun. Only problem is getting it to run on an XP system. We've been having problems.
Need for speed Porsche unleashed: this game again is the newest of the bunch. Good graphics good physics systems on the cars. Great for helping young ones learn to drive, but no hot pursuit mode and limited network play. Not that great in my opinion.
Need for speed, hot pursuit 2: this game is botched huge! The hot pursuit mode is been totally nuked. You can't be the police officers with your buddies on a network. The graphics are standard for game only a few years old, runs good or older systems, but not having network play with a hot pursuit is just a crime. One of the most disappointing games I've ever played.
So there you have it. In conclusion, you can see the a bunch of games for the price. And if you divvy up the games give out the ones you don't want or even sell them. They are pretty cheap in the long run. But some of the games have serious problems and some of our older. So the graphics are that good.
One important point, Porsche unleashed is a great way to teach young kids to drive get a steering wheel. Make him practice driving no really helped her hand eye coordination.
Have some fun and get it done
Rating: Summary: The best deal out there for Need for Speed games Review: I recently bought this "collection" at Best Buy for $14.99 (hint hint amazon.com..) The five games it includes are all very amazing and fun, and as the cover says, "adrenaline pumping" (for real it is, sometimes after an intense race, your heart will be pumping and you head pounding) The great thing about deal is that it includes Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. Thsi game costs $20 bucks alone, so why spend 20 bucks when you can have 5 games for 14.99?
Rating: Summary: great games, misleading system requirements Review: I've been an avid fan of the Need for Speed series since the beginning. When I saw this bundle being released, I was excited... finally, a chance to play the old classics like NFS II again (as my old version of NFS II didn't seem to run well under a modern operating system).Upon opening the box, I found five discs for all five games, and a small installation booklet. It was here where I read for the first time that four out of the five games in this bundle are supported for Windows 98 only. As in, they didn't "fix" any game to work on newer Windows versions. It literally is the same game from years ago. This is mentioned nowhere on the outside of the box, or in Amazon's description. These are still fantastic games and a great bang for the buck (remember each of these titles originally cost $40!), but it is very misleading to sell these items repackaged as a bundle which will not work on the majority of the computers in the world today.
Rating: Summary: It's Worth It! Review: If it says it will work in XP on the box then it should be PATCHED to work in XP whether you CAN play it or not. If it says in the manual that four out of the five games are Win 98 only it should say that on the box. I do not have this I would never buy it, but know for a fact that NS Porshe Unleashed and NS IV do NOT work in XP. I do have those original titles.

Rating: Summary: Cheap not always is good Review: Of all games in this pack, NFS III was the only game that supported my ATI RADEON 9200 128MB video card and actually looked very realistec. It is also the only game that adapted well to my Gravis gamepad. The rest, what a waste, graphics look really bad and with my controller it look like I was drunk driving. Hopefully I'll find a patch to fix this problem.

Rating: Summary: whoa buddy! Review: ok the next time u blame amazon for misleading information u should double check to c if you are correct. if u look undeneath the picture of this 'box set' it clearly states "Windows 98/ME". just thought i'd point that out. anyway, i have played all of these games prior to this box set and its definitly not worth your time. if they would have adjusted some of the games, then maybe just maybe this would be worth 24dollars. anywho, if u want a great game go pick up "NFS: Underground" by far the greatest racing game out there. other than a more formal "Nascar Racing 2003 Season".
