Summary: Great Game
Review: When I frist saw this game i thought wow, i've always wanted something like this. When i first started it the opening movie was really cool and i could tell that those grpahics were out of the game itself. When i played one of the training misisons i was in the seat of the pilot. Wow! Then in another training mission i could be any of the gunners. Wow! This is one great game. You can plan missions, command missions and be any person in your squadron. Though this system requires a lot of memory it played great on my 2 year old computer. It worked fine without the patch. If you took care of your computer it will do fine and wont crash. Great Game, 10 out of 10, hope they make a game where your a lufwaffe pilot going up against this monster of a battle they fought over germany. {But you can control German Pilots in this game}

Summary: HELLO!
Review: As I sit here and read over these terrible reviews I wonder if half these people even know whats in there computer, let alone do something with it. I think maybe something is bugged up in there comp or they have so much ... on there comp it doesn't work right. I think it pretty sad that people say games... and lead people who like air simulations away from a good game just because they can't figure out something. USE UR BRAIN THAT WHAT ITS THERE FOR! GO TO A COMPUTER TECH CLASS IF U DON'T KNOW WHAT UR DOING! Its pretty funny how everyone elses worked except for u select few "special" people. This is why i brought a copy and i expect it today, i will write a review after i play it to show that this is a great game and there ARE stupid people who just don't know how to work a computer. Thx

Summary: Could be a 5 star game but......
Review: IT DOES NOT WORK. It's a shame that Microprose and other software developers put such a lot of work into the building of the game, then fail to react to customers when the game does not work. My PC is above the recommended requirements but every time the game crashes once the game loads. The help line have proved to be as much use as a chocolate teapot. My advice is to wait until you here that the problem has been resolved through a patch. Is it too much to ask for a game to be released that works when you open the box, without having to log on to the Internet to download a 16mb patch every 6 months to update a program that should of worked in the first place.

Summary: Forget it
Review: My computer exceeds the requirements listed on the package (PII with 500 MHZ, 128 RAM), however the system crashes each time I launch it. Trying to contact customer support in a manner is litterally impossible. Frustration is high with this product and this company. They sell something that they misrepresented (i.e. system requirements) and provide substandard support to assist you. DO NOT PURCHASE!

Summary: B-17 Flying Fortress Worthless Garbage
Review: I feel the need to warn other people out there not to waste their hard earned money on this worthless game. I just purchased a copy of this game and it will not run on my computer even though my system meets or exceeds the manufacturers recommended system requirements. Also there is no tech support for this product so I guess if you are having difficulties with this product, that's just too bad. Tech support is only open from 12 pm to 5 pm Mon. thru Fri. any other times you are just out of luck. Plus the fact that you have to pay long distance charges to get a game running that should have been running in the first place. THANKS MICROPROSE AND HASBRO for such a lovely game. Micrprose delayed this game for 5 months you think that they could have done a better job.

Summary: bombers and bugs
Review: While aspiring to be a challanging and realistic simulator, this program falls short. It has potential but is plagued with programing bugs, lack of program configuration documentation, and technical support. Infogames is relying on a user's forum and having customers share lessons learned and fixes amongst themselves. In my opinion, the game must have been released prior to any beta testing. Two patches have been released and another is on the way.

Summary: HasselBro - B-17: Software Errors / TERRIBLE Support
Review: Well I received this title over the weekend, and still have not been able to get it off the ground.

This is what I am having problems with and have encountered getting technical support (a nightmare!!).

Game Problems:

1. Going to 'instant action' from the main game menu, I am presented with a CTD (Crash To Desktop), which means the game crashes, and your back at your desktop.

2. In The game, you need to review crew status, mission briefings ,etc. well so far I can not view these, do to they don't appear while in the game.

Applied the latest patch (v1.06) to correct allot of the bugs and CTD, and still have the above problems.

Now the Nightmare!:

* Web Sites mentioned, do not work - Either receive a blank page, 404 Not Found, or Virtual Directory: Access denied error.

* Phone Support - They have changed their number already from the one in the manual. Called the new number, and was thrown into a loop from a dysfunctional automated phone system. And then finally was told I was in a 60 minute call waiting queue.

* E-Mail support - Received an auto response saying their e-mail address is no longer valid. I was then pointed to a new web site which pointed me back to the original Hasbro Interactive Dysfunctional web site.

So I am preparing to send this piece of junk back for a refund. This is the LAST Hasbro/Micrprose software that I buy.

Summary: The best WW2 sim produced to date
Review: Forget Rowan's 'Battle of Britain' and Microsoft's latest effort. B17 is undoubtedly the best WW2 aerial combat sim that has ever been produced to date and works a treat with my 1000 MHz processor. The graphics are exemplary, and the attention to detail awesome. Infact I can't praise Microprose / Hasbro Interactive too lavishly for their ambitious attempt to portray the heroism and sacrifice of the US 8th Airforce during the daylight bomber offensive against Nazi Germany 1943 -1945. The atmosphere in B17 is astounding, the flak from below and the cannon rounds from attacking German FW 190s, BF 109s and ME 262s are absolutely real. So too is the general damage modelling, the photographic realism of exploding aircraft and the desire you have as a US airman to do your duty. My very few gripes include the fact that the ground looks too green at 25,000 ft and waves should be invisible over the English Channel and North Sea. Minor gripes indeed. I look forward in due course to a sim of this calibre being devoted to the greatest bomber of the war, the Avro Lancaster with all of the marauding hun night fighters, searchlights, T.I.s ( target indicators) and RAF banter included. For goodness sake please make it as realistic and detailed as B17 or else I won't buy it! ...
