Summary: Too much copy guard
Review: I purchased this game, loaded it and tried to run it only to find
that the copy guard on the CD is so strong that when I try to start the game it rejects the CD. Sierra technical support finallly admited that they went overboard this time with their copy guard protection and some CD ROM drives will not work with the CD in the game. I have one of those drives (72x Kenwood). Contacting Kenwood did no good as they refuse to "Crutch" Sierra's problems.
This is a true example of the term: "Buyer Beware"

Summary: Excellent RTS game!
Review: If your a strategy buff, then this is the ultimate RTS game! If features a multitude of different epochs with weaponery based on those time frames. It's up to you, the general, to make efficient use of those weapons, as well as civilian workers and resources.

Although you need to make sure that your resources are building at a good rate, your ultimate objective is to seek and destroy. If you don't, the AI on this game is extremely tough and very aggressive. Strong home defense, coupled with a strategically well thought out offensive is the utmost of importance! You'll need some practice till you can actually look to beat the AI on EASY! The other levels are alot more faster and aggressive.

Test your leadership skills to run a country and a military! It's the ultimate challenge!

I 1st heard about this game on Gamespot bout 10 months ago, from what it looked I thot this waz AOE like game.I just bought this game, the graphics are awesome. This game has lots of features that makes it different than AOE
1.>u kan send calamities to ur opponent like plague, malaria, earthquake.
2.>set ur own civilization & unit attributives.
3.>Make yer own civ.
4.>14 Epochs, 200 units make this game the most ambitious game in history.
5.>Campaign Editor Lets u create movies in game.(this editor is the most powerful I have seen as it come's with civ builder 'n this is no way as complicated as Starcraft or AOE Editors)
6.>Eye popping graphics

Make sure u have a P3 with 600 Mhz before buying this beauty
(I must say the music is not so cool its the kinda u hear in churches)!!! THIS IS GONNA DE-THRONE CLASSICS LIKE STARCRAFT & Age Of Empire2 !!! GET IT NOW !!!

Summary: Very nice game
Review: Oh my, this is the coolest RTS game out there right now. Sooo many options and the computers are actually smart. I've already been emersed into at least thirty games, each one taking about six hours to complete. It's very easy to learn too. All you need to know is how most traditional RTS games work and add some new modifications, such as the explore button, and there you have it. The only thing I don't like about it is the way they programed the formations. The units don't move in formation, they get into formation once they've reached their destination. I guess it's ok because it takes less computer power to do it that way.
Speaking of which, the game runs soo darn smooth, it's unbelievable for the graphics that it has. And I love the zoom in ability. I'd say, even though the formations aren't very good, this game is one of my all time favorites.

Summary: Better than Age of Empires 2
Review: Before I bought this game I used to play Age of Empires 2 and i had tons of fun with it for about 6 months. It was also very educational and teaches strategy. But once I got bored of Age of Empires 2 I was reading a gaming magazine and I saw an ad of this game and it looked amazing. I had a lot of spare cash so I decided to go buy it and when I came home from the game store at 8:00 PM and installed it I wasn't too excited, I don't know why. But once I started playing I still didnt feel excited and I thought that I would stop playing and go to bed in a few hours but no matter how much I tried I couldnt stop playing because I HAD to see the next age. After getting to the Renassaince age It was 5AM and I was too tired to go on so I fell asleep. The next morning I woke up adn went to work. When I got back from work I opened up a can of beer and a bag of chips and started playing Empire Earth for about 6 hours and with a full time job thats a pretty long time to play a game for. The next few weeks I continued the same cycle but after about a month my boss said that he was going to fire me if I didnt shape up so I played for about 4 hours a day instead of 6 but the amazing thing is that after playing so many games, Empire Earth was the only game that I actually became ADDICTED to and it was amazing. The singleplayer mode has a great replay value and multiplayer mode has about infinite replay so you will never get bored of this game. Although it is not as educational as Age of Empires 2 because AoE2 focuses on one specific time period for a long time but this game doesn't focus on ONE time period for that long even though this game has about 5 times as much different time periods as AoE2. This game is also mostly historical FICTION unlike AoE2 and it has futuristic battles too so those aren't even historical but the real point is that this game more fun than AoE2, and actually I think it's more fun than ANY RTS game ever! If you are into real time strategy then buy this game, its a must. If you aren't then you should give it a try ^^

Summary: Bad Game Play
Review: This game have good graphic but fail badly in game play.

For example : the trevuchet has too fast of a rate in firing and hits infantry up close that is not accurate at all... Did these people that design the game ever play AOE2... My god, the game is very long just to defeat the computer on easy. And when you think you defeated the computer, it has several ships just hiding somewhere on the map, thus taking more time to search for them...

I didn't like the map at all, it doesn't seem real and hard to see if my troops are moving in the right direction...

Also, the bomber are stupid: for example if an enemy troops comes near your place, the bomber will totally bomb that area including whatever is around it, makes it worst if the bomber plane had an atomic bomb...

the ships are bad too, making them hard to move and takes them time since they bump into each other...

Oh, yeah I love the Wonders, which looks nice but don't do jack...
For Example: the Babylon Tower suppose to reveal that area of the ocean, thus lighting up anything within its surrounding...

Hell I built like 7 of those Wonders and still don't see my enemies, I also built them close to the shore lines...

Final but not least, infantry is hard to flak in battle, compare to AOE2 with its awesome in flaking abilities...

Final Word: Empire Earth looks nice and pretty but does not completely deliver what was expected....
After 10 hrs of play I think I would have gone mad, game play is too long and drawn out.

If I was you guys, read more reviews and ask someone close to you how the game was and ask them if they ever played AOE2 before... Even better, hell just borrow your friends game to see if you like it, then buy... For me this game doesn't work...

Also I had crashes when playing with multiplayer on a local system...

Summary: Good game
Review: This game is the best game I have seen for a military strategy game. It has great 3d-ish graphics and good gameplay. It is a little complicated at first but it gets easier as you play it. Also the advancement through the ages is alot more challenging than in other games (well... it can be) but the recourse mining is alot better for the mines rarely run out of recources. This is definately the best strategy game I have ever played.
