Summary: Good expantion but a bit too small
Review: I loved Medal of Honor: Allied Assult (MOHAA), however Spearhead is not as great as the orriginal. It has (gasp) all the signs of a game made in a hurry. The single player is too easy and beatable in under 2.5 hours, the mission design is way to linear and way to scripted. Because its scripted you will often find yourself sitting and waiting for the captain to tell you what to do, but he wont tell you anything so you need to start over at your last quicksave. The missions have bugs in them and the AI can be rather spotty at times. Your squadmates on the other hand really do help you fight and rarly get in your way. The graphics in Spearhead got boosted, there are new textures for everything, new faces, new skins, and everything is more detailed then MOHAA.
The multiplayer is just as fun as the original, plus you can play all of your favorite MOHAA maps with the Spearhead weapons (Remagen Rules!). The new weapons are great and you get to use them often. The germans have only one new gun however, and it is quite pointless. They got a rifle grenade which shoots grenades and bulllets, hovever the grenades have zilch accuracy and it slows you way down.
HIGHS: New guns, great multiplayer, improved graphics.
LOWS: Made in a hurry, mot-so-perfect AI, Scripted Missions
BOTTOM LINE: Dont buy it if you didnt like MOHAA and think it will make the game better, it wont. Buy it if you liked MOHAA

Summary: Good fun but WAY too short..
Review: Nice missions, good gameplay, but MUCH too short. I completed the three missions in about 3 hours of playing. Not good value for £20

Summary: Just doesn't live up
Review: The expansion pack just doesn't live up to the origninal. The first level as your parachute in is the most intense moment in the entire expansion and its the first level!... The original is still one of the best fps's to date and one of the best things it did is start out slow so you had stuff to look forward to, after that first level in the expansion it just goes downhill. Is it worth its price? if your a huge fan of the original it is, even though it can be beaten in a few hours if you play it through. I also might add the multiplayer is extremely fun, and adds alot to the original. THe price is still a little steep for its length.

Summary: Just as good as the original
Review: If you liked the original MOH, then you'll love Spearhead. I thought it was a bit harder in the easy mode than the original MOH. The graphics are superb (a little better than the original); the sound effects are awesome. The battle scenes are new and the game play is just as straight forward as the original. There are not as many intermissions as the original (and I miss that). I'm really looking forward to the future releases of MOH expansions.

Summary: Just as good as the base game
Review: If you like Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault, you will also like this game. It has the usual enhancements expansion packs generally have. Fundamentally however, this is more of the same as the original had. And that's a very good thing!

For some reason, the Medal Of Honor franchise manages to create an immersive athmosphere like no other first person shooter I am aware of. Although I am sure having been there was quite a different experience, this certainly gives you a feel of "being there".

Summary: God, I love MOH and Spearhead! Great Games!!!
Review: I've probably played MOH a thousand times now... I enjoy it a lot. Spearhead follows suit with a terrific game, but sadly, too short... I understand EA Games is working on a similar game about Vietnam. As a fellow Vietnam Vet, I look forward to that game. Especially from the same team who made MOH! The only drawback I saw in the game was, again, having to wetnurse some doofus "Officer" who's too stupid to take cover during a firefight. Sorry gang, but I have no sympathy for him... In War, you try to survive and you sure as hell don't need to babysit an officer in the midst of battle! Otherwise, I found this expansion pack to be absolutely excellent!

Summary: Great Fun!
Review: First off, let me start by refuting some previous reviews. This game does not run a bad frame rate if you TURN DOWN SOME OF THE GRAPHIC SETTINGS. Even after they are turned down, the game looks great. And there are NO annoying snipers.
Admittedly, the single player is short. But it is a total blast when playing! Yes, it is scripted, but the first time through that scripting makes it all the better! The sound is incredible, the graphics amazing, the gameplay awesome, and the weapons are cool. And the attention to detail is simply incredible. i.e. When you plant a 'sticky bomb' in the rain, the fuse will fizzle out, and you will have to shoot it to get it to blow up!
Most people don't realize that Spearhead is mainly multi-player. Tons of new maps, and the really cool new mode of gameplay Tug of War.
If you liked Allied Assault you must get this game!

Summary: Short But Fun
Review: Yes its a short game and the easy difficulty level is too easy. The original Medal of Honor on the same setting was harder. Spearhead's opening having your character parachute behind enemy lines, though short, beautifully recreated the same scene from the mini-series, Band of Brothers. The missions involving manning a half-track cannon and the one trying to protect a medic while escorting him to your injured commanding officer are tedious and frustrating and most likely were created to give the sense the game is longer than it really is. This techniques is typical in console games. The game is also overly priced for a game that doesn't provide a lot of new features. I am comparing this to Diablo II Lord of Destruction which increased resolution, added new character classes, increased inventory, added new items, etc. basically a truly new game.

Summary: Uh? Was it supposed to be like this?
Review: This game is an expansion of one of the greatest games of all times. The expansion adds to it in some ways. The graphics are slightly inhanced, and the sound in this game is amazing. There are a lot of downsides in this game though. This game is realistic, it makes the gameplay work slower than the original did. And the loading times are sometimes unacceptable. This game has plenty of new features but are ruined by the slow, jerky motions. The new levels are very fun, up until you get to a certain point. The difficulty raises up to a maximum at the middle of the second level. I was very dissapointed with the game play. I would only recommend it to people who don't mind getting frustrated, and people with a very fast computer.
Here are the ratings(Scale of 10):
Graphics: 9.2
Sound: 9.7
Speed: 3.8
Frustration (higher=worse): 8.6
Environment: 8.9
A.I.: 10
Fun (higher=more): 9
Loading time: 5.1
Overall: ~8.6
(Try to just borrow it from friends. They will probably give it away happily)

Summary: Too short, Too scripted
Review: The Medal of Honour that reappears in this expansion pack looks better than ever with explosive special effects and new, blow 'em away weapons. You also get to fight alongside comrades who can hold their own, which lends some authenticity to the game. Just as the first was shamelessly modelled on Saving Private Ryan, this contains scenes straight out of Band of Brothers, which is kinda fun too.

Spearhead, however, is even more tightly scripted (if that is possible) than its predecessor. You can't so much as shoot out of turn if you want to complete your objectives. Annoyingly, a lot of it also takes place in the dark or in murky landscapes.

In tandem with this, it reintroduces some of the most irritating aspects of the last game, such as snipers who are invisible in the gloom and at least one finicky finale in which you have to constantly save just to make it through the scene. Lastly, it does not include enough of the things that made the last one fun, such as rooms full of enemy to shoot at.

Oh, and as others have noted here, it is very short -- too short to be worth 20 bucks. I got through it in a couple of hours without hurrying and have no inclination to play it again.
