Summary: Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force
Review: Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force is an fps with a great story driven single player gameplay and built on the fantastic quake III arena engine. It has a good storyline with perfect voice acting and a pretty good AI. I played it on the default opengl video mode and the game runs very smoothly. The graphics are fantastic, the xen like alien levels look very georgeous, sound recording is good. charecter animation are great, crew members look very life like. The level load times are good and save games do not eat up disk space. The length of ellite force is just right and it has a great multiplayer and single player tournament gameplay. The gameplay is good, but mostly you are playing with the AI team members and it is quite bad. The level design is good and there are lots of great puzzles to be solved, Action gameplay is slightly dissapointing as some of the levels are very linear and some of them are very difficult. I did not like the selection of weapons in ellite force, they are very badly done, their effects are very disspointing, almost all weapons just shoot a straight line of colored light. Star Trek Voyoger: Ellite Force is the best star wars based game ever made but i wish it was a little better as it is devoloped by raven software.

Summary: Regular Game, good price
Review: Overall, Star Trek Elite Force is a pretty standard game, nothing extremely fancy, and nothing falls short. While it is by far the best Star Trek game ever release, that doesn't say much about the embarrassing series. Star Trek uses the Quake 3 engine, so the graphics are up to par, and the AI is well balanced.
The single player is somewhat short, about 10 hours of gameplay, but it is still fun and exiting, with the exeption of some cheesy moments that have become a tradition in the TV series. The game takes place on Voyager, so you can expect to see some annoying characters such as Tuvok and Captain Janeway, as well as some not so annoying people like Seven of Nine (shall we say, shall we say).
The multiplayer in this game, however, is in my opinion, a COMPLETE copy off of Quake 3 Arena. The deathmatch, the CTF, the announcements, its all there. Not to say that isnt a bad thing, Q3A is an outstanding game, I'm just surpised at the simalarities. The only difference is that the Elite Force version has the skills toned down a little, for beginners.
I would recomend this game to any newbie interested in the shooter genre, for its relatively simple gameplay, and low price. Hardcore gamers might be interested as well to get this cheifly to buy the outstanding expansion pack.

Summary: Awesome game and a great buy
Review: I bought Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force about a year ago, and I still play it every now and then. To put it simply, Elite Force is just one of those games you can really get into and have a lot of fun playing.
For starters, it sets itself even with the competition with standard features that every FPS should (but sometimes dont) have, such as instant save, completely customizable controls, etc...
The graphics, while not top notch, are still running off the tried and true Quake III engine and add to the excitement of the game. Character models are decent but to be honest, graphics are not my main interest. Generally, I care about the gameplay (or lack of) and Elite Force has plenty of fast-paced exciting action. You start off immediately in the middle of a mission inside a Borg cube and the gameplay takes off from there. There are plenty of weapons, each with a secondary fire to choose from and the environments are extremely fun to fight in (my favorite is running through the halls and cargo bays of Voyager). In hostile territory the battles are fast and furious, requiring good choice in your combat skills. Little things like the mini-Holomatches or the occasional non-violent assignment make the game enjoyable.
Another awesome option is the Holomatch, which also has the same fast-paced fighting in the game, against not-so-terrible bots too. Again, the maps are well-designed and the weapons are awesome.
Finally, I think any aficionado of FPS's would definitely like this game for its gameplay and graphics: but if you like or watch Star Trek too, you'll like it even more. Even though its rather ironic how in most episodes the crew shoots at most 3-5 aliens and you kill 3-5 aliens in 3-5 seconds, I was almost giddy at being able to run through Voyager at psuedo-will and shoot bugs at the same times. In summary, buy this game, its worth the money and lasts a long time.

Summary: Go Boldly !
Review: This game rocks !

STV:EF shows the raw talent of the Ravensoft team as they've shown exactly what can be achieved with the Quake 3 engine.

I'm not a Trekkie, so I'm not writing a starry-eyed "I love Star Trek" review. I've been playing Quake, and its variants, since the original. STV:EF is now my game of choice from all the Quake-a-likes out there. Why ? I'll tell you :

(1) STV:EF has an amazing fun factor. The single player game, whilst quite short in duration, is great fun - I jumped as the first Borg laser beams lit up in the darkness for the first time. Multiplayer is a blast, as I'll talk about later.

In single-player , the movies are a bit lengthy, but the story is immersive and involving. It's a good introduction and learning experience for those who haven't played Quake-type games before. Rookies will soon be ready for deathmatch thanks to the single player preparation.

(2) The Multiplayer game is FANTASTIC - the maps are well laid-out and challenging, especially for Capture-the-flag, and best of all, the weaponry seems to be far more balanced than Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament. Adding an alternate fire to the second mouse button has added a huge extra dimension to the game - you can blast away semi-randomly with a phaser rifle, and instantly switch to a concentrated sniper blast at the click of a mouse. Alternate fire doubles the strategic potential of the weapons, and makes the game so much more fun to play, as you can switch from aggressor to lurker to sniper so easily.

(3) The game interface is really polished - so much so that it could teach a lot of lessons to the new Quake 3 Team Arena - configuring the game, and joining Internet games is very friendly and easy. The character models are well put together, and the fans are going to love playing as their favourite character. The game has a very smooth feel - not as heavy-metal, poodle-rocker, gore-obsessed as the Quake series. The Star-Trek themed voice taunts, though limited, are much more subtle than Q3:TA, and give an atmosphere of intense, friendly competition.

This game plays so well, so smoothly and so intensely that it's my favourite first person multiplayer shooter. It's often overlooked by the mainstream ans dismissed as "another Quake mod", but it's a terrific piece of work that makes Q3:TA look a bit unpolished in comparison.

Summary: Incredible!
Review: Wow, a Star Trek game that actually rocks! The action and missions are awesome (Borg are so badass) Great plot and the story goes at an excellent pace. Graphics are nice. AI very smart and the weapons are brilliant (Arc Welder, HELL YEAH!) There are a few interesting plot twists along the way, cool enemies to take out (Borg, Species 8472, Klingons, Hirogens to name a few) and above average voice acting which is quite impressive. Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force is, despite on the short side at around 10 hours, a very fun, entertaining first-person shooter well worth your money and time. Enjoy!

Summary: shockingly impressive
Review: The first 3D shooter game I've ever played was Doom. Since then I was an addict of these types of games (Hexen, Heretic, Quake, Duke Nukem, Blood, Jedi Knight...you name it) until I kind of "grew out" of it. I guess I just got sick of them in a way because there are just so many out there. So I never set my eye on these kinds of games again. But being a hardcore Star Trek fan, Elite Force really caught my attention. I just thought, "What the heck?", pulled two twenties out of my pocket, and took it home. I was really shocked! This game was fun! I just could not stop playing. Not only did it have good graphics, speed, etc., but it actually felt like I was part of an episode of Star Trek Voyager. That's what made it so fun to play for me, along with the heart-pumping action (unlike most 3D shooters, the monsters aren't those slow, zombie-type, moaning/growling type...monsters in this game actually scream, bum rush you and tear you up!).

I am almost absolutely certain that any Star Trek fan would love this game. Even if you finish the game once, you'd still wanna play it again. If you get bored of that, then you'll end up downloading all the maps provided on Elite Force fan sites...every day it's something new in those sites. I'd definitely recommend this game to Trekkers out there, regardless of whether or not you like 3D shooters or not. The demo is not enough, trust me.

Summary: WOW Very realistic
Review: The graphics are immence, the best I've ever seen, the levels look amazingly real and the explosions and weapons fire is first rate. The ambiant sound is very realistic to and the voice acting is great (Sevens voice is'nt Jeri Ryans but you can get A patch). The game is as close as you will ever come to being on Voyager, its not like most games where the missions come one after the other you actualy get to walk around Voyager and talk to people. The guns are great each one hase two firing modes so attacks are never boring and some of them are actualy on star trek. The gameplay is great to, very high quality the controls are very easy to use you can even use the mouse for exact targeting. You can't order around your teamates but they take queues from your actions. The multiplayer part of the game is very good to, tons of maps to play in and three game modes (free-for-all, team play, and capture the flag). This is one of the best games I have ever played and for sure the best first-person-shooter, I highly recomend it.
