Summary: Newbies will like this - much better than SWG
Review: If you have never played this type of game, DAOC is for you. I thought is was pretty dumb when my boyfriend brought it home. Now I am addicted.

Of course, I had some good luck. I am in a great guild with really cool people. I have really enjoyed my experience.

If you are choosing between this and SWG buy this one. SWG is boring and complicated. You can get into this game quickly and really start to enjoy it.

Summary: Nice addon.
Review: Not bad. Nice changes to the UI. New lands are impressive. I am pretty burnt on the MMORPG character-level treadmill, though, so my interest in the game itself suffered.

Summary: Hated EQ, Hated UO, Loved DAOC
Review: I bought DAOC on a recommendation from a co-worker who swore up and down that I'd love this game. I did the Ultima Online thing only to despise it and waste hours/days of my time trying to figure it out. EQ was frustrating until I found someone willing to give me a ... load of magic stuff that would finally help me move forward.

DAOC was an entirely different story.

From the beginning on the Bedevere server I found that I was able to easly get through the newbie levels, the specilization portion was extremely cool and I managed to go from a complete newbie lvl one toon to a lvl 50 Mana Enchanter within six months of real time, or about 14 days of player time.

Can't highly recommend this game enough.

Summary: Good ,they have monthly charges, not supidly expensive tho
Review: this is the best game i have ever played. the game is huge HUGE.there are well three "countrys" that you can choose from you get to change every aspect of your character like hair height so your the ony one with that look or name:)

so many different things in this game you will never get tiered of it im serious there are like 15 different servers to choose from and in each realm or country there are about 100 different combinations of what you wanna be, no character is enferior at all they have there own specific roles to play, if you ever played diablo you wish you hadnt wasted your time there is no way a person can hack the game (i havent read the whole regulations and rules thing but i think you get sued for hacking it) and if you dont wanna play for 3 months to get a fully grown character level 50 you can buy one off of ebay but mythic doesnt like that and they rarely catch you RARELY

the only thing you have to worry about after having the right cards and proccesors and stuff etc. youll need an non dial up connection so you wont get kicked off alot, because this game has unequaled graphics to any other game EVER its amazing

it rains gets cloudy nighttime and you can watch the sun set almost as good as a real one and you can get MARRIED in the game with a friend

the rvr realm verse realm is the best ever there are huge huge huge battle grounds to choose from as you advane your level big batlegrounds for the higher level players and if you dont like not beging able to go to other realms or attacking your fellow relm mates you can duel or just get on to a server that allows that there are cooperative ones so that you can go meet albions or hibernians or midguards or if your really whacked in the head you can go to servers that only allow you to talk like your actually there no pizzas or cars or power rangers and you dont live at your moms house your really there lol

if you decide to play this game go to the server tristan my main character is adug ,you get 8 characters per server and you only get to be one realm per server unless you buy a different account wich is mo money than i can afford i live at my moms house too.......well anyway

the game is challenging and there are endless things to do you can even open your own shop and be a salwsman instead of the computers

male or female too uhhh i am trying to think of more wich i can only write 1000 words so trying to conserve the game is that big and interesting um well i hope you buy it :) its like 12.oo per month first month is free:)

Summary: Sweet game
Review: I love this game. I play it all the time. It is one of the best MMORPG games I have played in a long time. This game offers hours of game play, lots of adventure, quests, violence, and everything a teen could want. I am really 16 I just had to use the child review area (technical difficulties). Even after I was getting bored of the game I found something new on it that will keep me happy playing for moths to come. I would advise anyone who loves RPG games, has internet, and can afford the [$$] a month charge to get this game. It is well worth the money you pay to be able to play this game. This game is better than everquest and some of the other older MMORPG games. They update this game all the time and there are just millions of different things you could do to pass your time while playing this game. Great game. A must play for all you MMORPG maniacs.

Summary: Fun for the first few weeks
Review: This is the expansion to Dark Ages of Camelot which launched about 19 mos ago. It was the smoothest launch of any morg I have played. The graphics and music are great. The end game is Realm vs Realm (RVR) where u battle the other two realms.

The game is level based with max levels of 50. This expansion added new zones to hunt for higher lvls which was badly needed. Most of the zones go unused like a lot of expansion packs. The city of Avalon is the most populated area in the expansion and it drops great loot and exp for players from 35-50, it's darkness falls without the other realms visiting you.

The problem with DAOC is the fact that the game is SOOOO unbalanced. It is casters casters casters. Tanks, especially in Albion, don't stand a chance in rvr. Good nukers can take down a tank before they ever get close to them. There have been many nights where I was hit for 780/600/500 death before I could get near the caster. He could take me down MUCH faster than I could ever take him down. Mythic is very slow to make any changes in game. They have known about several game changing bugs like the block/parry bug and it took them 19 mos to fix it.

This game is very very entertaining until about lvl 20 then it starts to GRIND. Experience is not linear. It takes about as long to get from lvl 40-50 as it does to get from 1-40. Once you hit 50 you spend all your time in RVR and you better hope your class is not one of the many gimped RVR classes. Some classes are great against npc mobs and totally gimped in RVR.

Shrouded Isles was a decent expansion. It addressed many of the glaring weaknesses in the original game. Those weaknesses were areas to lvl post 40 and additional areas to find items.

Daoc is a good morg but it is slow to evolve and has the worst customer service I have ever seen. There are NOOO mythic controled events nor will you ever get an answer in game from customer service. If you enjoy killing and grinding experience this is the game for you. The RVR is set up in set areas so most of the player vs player is in large groups (zerg vs zerg or worse yet zerg vs your group). The basic rule is largest zerg wins. The one glaring downside to the game is the time it takes to get back into the action. Once you die in RVR it can take as long as 20 minutes for you to get back to the fighting. For the casual gamer that can be prohibitive.

All in all Daoc is worth playing but it has shown very little ability to change. There are better morgs out there.

Summary: Very Addictive!
Review: This game is great! I had to give it up for a few months to get rid of my addiction, I was eating, sleeping and dreaming DAoC and SI. Terrible. Now that I have cured myself, I can tell others about it. I started with this game after stealing my boyfriends empty slot. Loved my thane there and decided to build a comptuter so I could play it at home. I think the graphics are good, with improvements coming all the time. They recently implemented a new "bind" and "leveling" graphic that is kinda cool. The RvR can be a pain in the ... but that is all a part of the game. I recommend going to a DAoC sight before creating any characters though, they have good tips on how you should use your "points". I would recommend this game and DAoC, since ya need both to play, to anyone that has a little time to kill. And since you have many servers to choose from, you can always change realms at will.

Summary: helped keep me playing a bit longer

Summary: This Expansion is AWSOME
Review: The graphics are way better, the classes are cool, the monsters are intreging, and everthing that i didn't mention is also very sweet. All in all this gam is AWSOME.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Still lacks information
Review: Well its like this, the reflexes in the water - i cant see them even with my geforce 4 but at least the water now moves its not staganated; graphical engine - ahhh, this where they made real improvements, smooth graphics and innovative colors of the interface; Music and SFX - added ambient music and ambient sfx wich create a different type of atmosphere; Commands&emotions - new emotions and commands gives a more personalized RPG; Races&Classes - Well i tryed the necromancer and i like it, new countries and NPC's.

Overally the expansion pack really improved the game, but i think it lacks information, info on quests, abilities and skills i think its a problem that DAOC really needs to improve. Even the complete guides dont give us deep info in the definition of most skills and abilities.
