Summary: Only top of the line computer will work with this game
Review: I was lucky to be able to return my copy of the game. I have a P4 1.5 GHZ that is about two years old. The game would run. However, the graphics were awful and the screen movement very slow.

I tried working with the settings. No luck. I should have paid more attention to the package. The box says that for best results my processor should be at least 4 GHZ

Summary: A new Legacy of DELTA
Review: First off let me say this game is NOT worthy of the Delta title. IT DESERVES IT OWN TITLE! Its a huge jump, skip, leap and a blackhawk insertion better then any other DELTA game in the series (I have them all, been following since DF1).

The Single Player is simply amazing, it totally feels like you are in Somalia. The AI is a little strange at times, but its so fun you forget about the minor imperfections. The Somalia Militia really act like the familiar untrained, unprofessional bunch of people you saw in BHD the movie. Thats what makes the game great! But you better watch out, that one lucky bullet/RPG can be the end!

Fun, fast, and great times is all I can say about this game. It was definatly neat to get on the back of a Humvee and man the 50 cal through the streets, and DEFINATLY neat to see Romeo One, a Little Bird helicopter, swoop down and strafe targets in front of you.

Awesome game, WELL worth the buy for anybody new to or a vet of the series!

Summary: Great Game
Review: The graphics and gameplay are awesome. U need a great computer to run it though. The major downside is that u can't drive the hummers or the helicopters. I have never played any previous Delta Forces so i don't know if u can drive the vehicles. A must get game!

Summary: The Multi Player makes it worth it
Review: The multiplayer is incredible. Gigantic maps, helicopters, humvee's, mounted .50 cal's and miniguns, everything. The multiplayer is addictingly fun. The single player is incredibly weak although, even on operator (the hardest level). I beat this game in under five hours playing it casually. The single player enforces too many restrictions on the player, mainly you do not have the option to roam the map, you MUST stay with your team or the mission will be failed. Also no option to control how far to throw gernades or flashbangs. If you love to snipe, then stick to the multiplayer, the single player offers almost NOTHING for snipers. As for the people who think this game is a disgrace, I think it all depends on how you look at it. Some might look at it as a tribute to their sacrifice, and this game will give them some recognition for their hardwork (along with the superb movie). Heroes are commonly turned into movie characters and now days into games. While movies allow you to see what it might have been like, games allow you to take part in it and become the hero (in a very limited sense).

Summary: Bashers Listen Up!
Review: Some reviewers have been bashing the game for its "exploitation" of the incidents during Operation Restore/Continue Hope in Somalia. Gents, you're more than entitled to your opinion, as bass-ackward as it may be. Facts are, THE GAME IS AWESOME ALL AROUND (graphics/audio/replay value) and... a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the game are being donated by Novalogic to the education fund for children of Special Ops soldiers who died in service to their country. As far as how many soldiers past and present will be offended, that's their right, too... Can't please everyone all the time. I'm not trying to sell it to them, if they want to buy it, they will, I have a job I'm very happy with.
For all others considering this game, if you want a challenging 1st-person shooter with great graphics and sound, definitely try this one out, you won't be disappointed...

Summary: Breakthrough Game
Review: DFBHD is an ambitious game that has minor flaws, but the sum of the parts results in an extraordinary immersive experience. At first glance it looks like your garden variety shooter, the intro film looks average the menu screens are simple but flow smoothly and get the job done.

However, once you played about three missions, you start to understand that this is not your older brother's Delta Force. You are dealing with an adrenaline filled, immersive experience filled with detail and depth like I've never seen in a first person shooter.

Sometimes if your team mate gets shot, a med-evac helo will show up and medics will find your wounded team mate and carry him to safety. Angry villagers will sometimes throw rocks at you. You can initiate room takedowns in which one of your mates will flash-bang the room while the others will take the corners much like it should happen.

The graphics are by far the bet I've seen in an FPS. The music is better than the movie. The helicopter action is breathtaking. Some missions are stealth based, some are .50 cal frag fests. There are crocodiles, the best night vision I've ever seen, there have really rich multiplayer... and I haven't even finished the game yet.

This product sets a new standard in bang for the buck FUN, with a healthy dose of realism. I can't wait for the next one.

P.S. NovaLogic, how about adding driveable vehicles?

John

Summary: AMAZING!!
Review: Why did I give it a five star rating? Because I couldn't give it six!

Novalogic has outdone itself on this one. Not only does it let you replay actual historical events, IT IS FUN! My family may not see me for months!

Summary: A bit on the hardware
Review: I have heard from some people that it eats up sys resources and others that it is not bad. I personnally play it on a AMD XP1800+ Athlon, 512MB ram, and a GeForce4 MX 420 64MB PCI card and have had no problems. As for the game itself it is a very good game that is very exciting to play to say the least. As one other person put it, it is not like any of the other DF games. If you are looking for a game that is more like the first 4 in the DF series this is not really for you, but if you are a player of the others and looking for something a little different this is your game. Also another note on the sys resources. I have heard from people that have played the full version and have been told that it is a little better on sys resources than the demo.

Summary: THE BEST DELTA FORCE GAME
Review: Novalogic finally produced this "best delta force game". It is too realistic on every mission. Urban firefight, too intense. Novalogic did the very good job this time. I am really enjoy playing this game. Anyone who love military shooting game must buy this one.
