Summary: Not as good as it should be....
Review: First, let me say that BHD looks fantastic! This is a serious improvement over previous offerings in the Delta Force series. The city is sprawling and realistically dirty and rundown. The vehicles are very detailed. Explosions and smoke are fantastic.So, why three stars? The game is unbelievably hard! Too hard to be considered fun. Your AI teammates are worthless. They won't help you one bit, so you are left to fight approximately 100 people per mission on your own. All this adds up to extreme frustration. Not what I paid [this price] for. It seems that very little thought/design was put into this aspect of the game. What's disappointing is that the hectic feel of the game really creates an atmosphere that is different from most FPS shooters on the market. A definite plus I think. If only it played as good as those other games....

Review: I'am reluctant to say this game disapointed me. I own both delta force games prior to this one and they too were not that great.
I have a 1.6 ghz computer with AMD Athlon and 386mgs. of SDRAM along with a NVIDIA 32MB video card. DFBHD suffers from bad lag.
the normal requirments are atleast a 32MB video, but iam not going to buy a faster one just cuase this game is slow. the other delta force games were also slow on other computers I tried. To say the least Iam not going to purchase a nother game from novalogic. they have still yet to get back to me about fixing the slowness on BLACK HAWK DOWN. I have yet to play the game without giving up because it is to slow to play. MAYBE someone has a suggestion?

Summary: Best FPS for CPU of The Year
Review: Delta Force Black Hawk Down Provides you with an in depth gaming experence of the war in Somalia in 1993. Its graphics are great and the gameplay is better. It allows you to ride in Black Hawks and Humvees and man their weapons. Also you can provide cover fire from little birds in some missions. Although the missions can sometimes be challenging at first once you get the hang of it, the game becomes even more fun. The room clearing ability is amazing and the ai is good even though sometimes it falters and you can walk up to someone and just shoot them without them firing back. I do think that driveable vehicles would be a very nice addition to the game and make it a little more interesting. I have always been a fan of the Delta Force Series and Novalogic brand and I believe this game is a must own for anyone who enjoys a fun FPS with good graphics. It is by far the best Delta Force and is a definite own for anyone who likes the movie Balck Hawk Down.

Summary: Good Game,with missions that were formatted incorrectly.
Review: Great game, But for those [***] that programed some of the missions,need their head examined by Someone... I am a disabled veteran, I consider myself a sharpshooter,but I know it would be impossible to pick off soldiers from the side of a helicopter, at 100 feet in the air, cruising at about 40 to 60 mph. I find it hard for anyone, to have been so stupid ,as to put, some of these missions on a game. Someone tell me I'm wrong. I would have given this game 10 stars if it wasn't for some of the missions. Need to come out with some patches Asap. Ok, some of you gamers are intelligent, but some of you are ignorant. Lets talk, computer requirements. I have a intel celeron, 1.7ghz pent 4 processor, Nvidia, Geforce 4 Ti 4200 64mb ddr 4x\8x agp video card, creative soundblaster pci 512 sound card.Ecs p4mm2 Mainboard, 10/100 Ethernet adapter(onboard).512MB PC 133 SDRAM, 52x Litheon cdrom. OK, I completed every mission except the first one Marka Breakdown. On this mission I had a problem aiming the machine gun with my mice, due to a lot of lagging and hesitation. TRhe humvees were even moving along in a very choppy manner(low frame rate). I running windows 98. I am running over 90 games on my computer, the oldest game,Silent Hunter(dos based). the newest,or latest Splinter cell. These are a few other games I'm running on my cp. Mscombat FS 1,2 and 3, B17 flying fortress, Sof 1, and 2, Ghost recon,operation flashpoint, battlefield 1942, medal of honor allied assault, which also has the machine gun episode on the old humvee, jeep, but it runs smooth, it was fun destroying the 2 truckloads of german soldiers, and the planes, old my the aiming was so smooth in this game. I have vietcong,conflict desert storm, deadly dozen 2 the pacific theater,navy seals,vietnam special assignment 2, line of sight vietnam, mechwarrior 3,4 including vengeance,blacknight, and mercernaries, f12002,2001,and 2000, and the official formula one cdgame ,1998, colin Mcrae rally 2and 3, viper racing, Star trek Bridge Commander, Klingon Academy, starfleet academy, the dominion wars, Il2 Sturmovik, USAF, Israeli AF,Commanche vs hokum, gunship 3, team apache, Rally sport challenge by microsoft, tribes 2, heavy gear 2,destroyer command ,sub command, silent hunter 2, steel tide, ww2 fighters. Now, some one tell me , is it my computer , or is it the way the game was formatted. the Multiplayer mode runs a lot smoother, than does the singleplayer mode. I personnaly believe this game was formatted to heavily for the multiplayer mode to such extreme, that the singleplayer mode was just ignored, which in turn caused errors, glitches,and very low frame rates at certain levels,on different missions. The game does not detect the components of your computer correctly. For instance , when I installed the game on my computer, the game adjusted itself, according to my computers' power, all the settings were automatically set at high and full detail,...... I would like to hear from another reviewer on this mattter. Thank you, a Disabled Viet Nam Era Veteran........Running windows 98, for all you gamers that don't know, windows 98 is partitioned on every Windows XP operating system, just look for the windows 98 compatability mode, ther are some games that will ask you if you are use to using windows 98 to run the game, so you will be prompted to put a check mark in the box beside windows 98.

Review: This game is awesome! You can use miniguns from black hawks or 50 caliber mounted guns. Before you start a mission you get to choose the weapons you want to use. The internet mode is even better because you can get in nest points and snipe people.

Summary: Delta Force: Black Hawk Down
Review: "Delta Force: Black Hawk Down" is what you get if you take "Medal of Honor: Allied Assault" and set it in 1993 Somalia, but it's not quite as good as that may sound, thanks to some annoying flaws in the game's design. Does that mean it's not a good game? Not by a long shot - it's an enjoyable first person shooter, and rises above some of the mediocre genre efforts that have been released within the past few months (see "Unreal II: The Awakening," for example). The game may not live up to its potential, but it's a solid effort that's worth a look. If you watched Ridley Scott's fantastic film, "Black Hawk Down," then you already know the historical premise for this computer game adaptation (although most of the game details missions prior to the events of the movie). Mission after mission, you'll find yourself battling militants in shanty African cities and towns, completing a series of objectives before you are permitted to advance to the next level, or couple of levels, as not all missions must be played in sequence, refreshingly enough. You will also get to pick which weapons you take into said mission prior to play, which is nice - although you'll find yourself sticking to your favorite set of weapons and rarely using the others that are offered. When all of this is done, you enter the midst of combat, and then the action begins. You will rarely go it alone in "Black Hawk Down," but don't expect a lot of help, even so. Your squad mates are little more than set decoration, and while they do add to the sense that you are but one soldier in a large campaign, they are usually no help at all in firefights. They shoot at their enemies, sure, but they almost always miss. At least their senseless behavior won't get in your way most of the time, since they depend upon you, and, thankfully, you can pretty much let them do their own thing (though, sometimes, if too many of them die, a mission can end prematurely). Your enemies are equally mindless, and generally employ one of two unrealistic tactics: they either stand in place and shoot at you, or charge you head-on while opening fire. They never really take cover or fire in short, controlled bursts, and though their aim is considerably better than those of your teammates, they still could have used some training. Fortunately, shooting them is rather fun, as they react fairly realistically to gunshot wounds (though in another nod to the unrealistic, there is very little blood and gore). Gunplay is far more satisfying here than it was in "Unreal II," for example, and despite a lack of variety in enemy encounters, it's pretty good stuff, and worth the price of admission. Like "Allied Assault," "Black Hawk Down" is a heavily scripted game, which is a mark in its favor. In perhaps one of the best missions in the game, you'll be called upon to clear a garage of militant presence, only to find a horde of militia members swarming upon the place moments later. They even drive a jeep through the wall and open fire from a 50 caliber mounted machine gun! Fun stuff. Some missions may be a little too heavily scripted, though - when you're aboard a Bradley combat vehicle manning the turrets, you had better memorize the pattern of incoming RPGs, or else you'll never make it through the level. It's all about trial and error. Some helicopter missions are remarkably frustrating as well, thanks to this fact. A strange, limited save system compounds this problem. Don't expect unlimited saves. While it is perhaps realistic that the game's environments all look very much alike, it's not the most fun from a gamer's perspective. Granted, half the game goes by before it begins to annoy, but eventually you can't help but mutter to yourself, "Wow, this looks pretty much exactly like the last level I finished." Compounding the issue are enemies who pretty much all resemble one another and fight in exactly the same manner. Fortunately the mission objectives are different enough each time that it shouldn't leave you completely disenchanted with the product. Yes, "Black Hawk Down" has its share of problems, but it's still a good game. If you're a fan of "Allied Assault," or real world first person shooters in general, then by all means give this one a try. Final Score: B-

Summary: Great Multiplayer!!!!
Review: Well, i can understand how some people may not like the single player mode, but you have to admit that the multiplayer section is just awesome! It's great when its just a free-for-all or a team death match, capture the flag, or search and destroy. This is the best multiplayer game ive ever played. Better than Starcraft, Age of Empires, and many others i dont have time to mention. You should give it a chance and download the demo. Also try to play a multiplayer, this is what makes this game so fun!

Review: This game is a lot of fun, but you will need a very good system to run it. The enemy AI is very good; the weapons sound and look great, and the missions are fun. I have not played multiplayer yet. The graphics are excellent. The enemy character models are very realistic...big buff black dudes with machine guns...really cool game.

Review: Some other review said that you need a 4ghz procceser that right there should tell you he doesnt know a thing about computers because that procceser isn't even on the market yet so shame on him. To the game thoughe it is a very good first person shooter and the best of the series definetly, a-must-have game. And as for the system requirements just make sure you have a decent procceser and a ok graphics card and you will do just fine :)

Summary: not worth it
Review: I have been playing delta force since the first one, and it seems with every new game nova logic comes out with they get worst. they can't get any worst then black hawk down.
If all you want to do is play it offline then your ok, but if your like me and you like the online play, forget it, ... you no sooner get online with it then your back on desktop trying to get it going again, tech support says they will one day get a fix for it, since so many people are having a problem with it, but even on a good day when it don't restart itself right away, it still gives you other problems that make it sooooo not worth playing.
