Summary: Outstanding Multiplayer Mode
Review: This is the best war simulation game I ever played. I had the first version of Delta Force which was good but this one is exceptional.
The multiplayer mode is fabulous and players all over the world are developing new maps which are more and more challenging.
What I am missing is jungle maps, a better Sniper outfit (you can easily spot them even from far) but these are details.

The single player mode is highly emotional, especially when you reach the mission "IRENE" (you know what this means...)

Summary: Stands out
Review: this game has a lot of things going for it. the environs are huge. the player can use iron sights. there's a limited number of weapons they can carry. you can get in vehicles and go around the huge map. but let's face it, it's a 'cowboys and indians' take on the struggle in somalia. do you like running around killing helpless, screaming, rock throwing civilians? you had better, if you want to enjoy this game.

Summary: Novalogic at it's very best!!!
Review: From beginning to the end of this game you wil be hooked!! The story is familer, if you have seen the movie, read the book or watch the news. BUT actually going through the missions, one by one and fighting through Somalia, is awesome.
I am hopeful that novalogic will choose to do the Desert Storm series, because they deserve it too!! Real world missions, and great graphics are just two of the reasons this is a super game. I paid full price for this game (something I rarely do) and I was so pleased with it.
Only Tom Clancy, and the Rainbow six series match up to this game, and online it is just as fun. Several games to play online, and plenty of people to play on all levels. America's Army is the ONLY game more fun to play online. My advice in a nutshell? GET THIS GAME you will play it several times through.

Summary: BEST DAMN GAME EVER ,PERIOD
Review: I only have this to say. IT IS VERY ADDICTIVE. You will like it so much that you will be on for HOURS and not even notice it.

Summary: Loved The Whole Thing
Review: Having been playing 3D-shooters for a decade, I'm hard to please nowadays. BHD literally knocked my socks off. First thing that grabbed my attention was the ambience. NovaLogic really hit the nail on the head with the 3rd world/desert "feel". This is how the place actually looks. The only thing they didn't put into the game is the smell, but THAT is better left imagined. The next thing I liked is that mindless blasting into an area or room doesn't get you much. Thinking and planning work best. I also like the way the "enemy" will come after you, like in reality. You have to "watch your 6" or you'll die early on in the game. I have payed all the maps that come with the game and have downloaded over 100 new ones and have been very entertained. I recommend this game highly and am looking forward to the next one in this series from NovaLogic.

Summary: VERY FUN GAME.
Review: This game is a lot of fun.The single player mode isn't the greatest thing in the world but the multiplayer mode is really great. It's a game that when you start playing time just flies! Good game.

Summary: Departure from previous versions
Review: It seems NovaLogic has opted to take the DF series in a different direction than it has been. With BHD, the series is becomming more "arcadsy" where you can take multiple hits, find health & ammo powerups, and the emphasis is on fast reflexes instead of patience and fore-thought. Overall, it's a fun game, and I found it worth the money. But it's a much different style than the DF that I've thoroughly enjoyed over the years.

Pros: Graphics and "ambiance" are fantastic--lots of detail. More realistic AI (not that they're terribly bright, but they're more accurately depicted with swarms of badguys rushing you). The miniguns are a blast to fire. More "realistic" weapons loadouts.

Cons: No Co-op mode in multiplayer. Stray from the waypoints and your mission is over. Similarly, being FORCED to man a .50 or mini-gun for portions of a mission even when mobility or another weapon would be a better choice. Fairly one-dimentional missions. Being able to take multiple AK hits (i.e., character is too tough). Finding instant health and ammo power ups lying around (i.e., too "arcadsy"). Almost no missions where patience, planning, etc. play a part--pretty much all rush in and kill everything (don't know about others, but I tend to like sniping and/or patiently moving through an area picking off enemies efficiently--very little opportunity for that in this game).

Summary: Can't stop playing!
Review: Where to start? This is by far the BEST Delta Force game Novalogic has come up with. I have been playing Delta Force Games since the first, and the other ones collect dust as this one spins rapidly in my CD drive. I started playing this game and now most of my friends own it and we continuely play to odd hours of the night on multi-player. My computer isn't top-of-the-line (only an AMP Athalon 2400, ATI Radeon 9500 Pro, Sound Blaster Audigy 2, 512MB RAM) and I have no trouble running this game at it's full potential. If you like first person shooters then this is a must have. If you are trying to make it through the missions on single player, or trying to gain rank in multiplayer, you will be captavated at the realism of the game. When it first came out it had a few glitches but it seems as Novalogic is trying to correct these with updates. All-in-all the best first person shooter I have ever played and will defenatly be played until my mouse breaks down!

Summary: Entertaining, but not a true master piece
Review: All ethical issues aside, this certainly as an entertaining game. Note that this is by no means a "military simulation". It is an action game, and you will find yourself "shooting your way out" with little further tactic and strategy.

What makes this game unusual is the setting in an urban environment, where all the enemies are pretty much dressed like everyone else, but the player must differentiate between hostiles and civilians. Also, the inner-city setting of most missions makes for an unusual game with a lot of character.

On the downside, I found this game rather easy. I played on the "normal" setting (medium of 3 difficulty settings), and most of the game was relatively easy to play (and I would not consider myself a good FPS player). The only difficulty lies in the missions where one needs to shoot down from a helicopter.

The game is also very short. A long day of gaming, and you are through! (Which I personally like, since I do not have too much time on my hands, but most other players will probably think differently...)

One of the most annoying aspects of this game is the safe-game system. Although one can save wherever one pleases, there is only a certain number of saves available. I mean: C'mon! Every game developer magazine and book, and every industry conference treads the need for a "save anywhere" system as a given fact, and yet still developers keep doing stupid things like this! And in this case, it is not even a technical issue. After all, they had to artificially limit the number of saves! I am tempted to downgrade this to a 3-star review because of this issue... (I am keeping it at 4 stars, because the game is easy enough for this not too matter too much...)

Summary: An absolute blast
Review: I think that this may be the most fun I've ever had with a game. If you can look past occasionally goofy AI, you will not be disappointed.
There are surprises waiting around many corners in this game, so you will probably not get bored with it. You will feel a sense of urgency in some missions, which is somewhat rare.
If I had 1 wish for the game, it would be that the hardest level is slighly more difficult..I have beaten it numerous times on all levels now..And I'm not a video-game freak either!!
Can't wait for the expansion pack.
