Summary: adventurers into an assembly line...
Review: The game graphics and atmosphere are cool, and I confess thet they kept me playing for hours a few times. The storyline is laughable. After a while you will find yourself wondering if you are still playing or doing some work you have become strangely addicted to.

Summary: Great but....
Review: The graphics are awesome, very smooth, and very realistic war of fog. the only problem i had was the control especially when controlling different types of spells and switching weapons. eventhough it had the pause feature, switching speelbooks and spells was tedious. And i don't like the way you increase your abilities. You will only be able to increase your skill if you are using it, but it's kinda realistic.

Summary: Great graphics, poor game
Review: When I first loaded up this game, I was wowed by the beautiful opening graphical sequence. The landscapes, characters, buildings, and enemies are all wonderfully rendered. Many of the CG vistas are breathtaking, most notably, a bridge over a deep chasm at the beginning of the game. I have to give Microsoft credit for an excellent job on the visual aspect of this game.
Sadly, the graphics are about all Dungeon Siege has going for it. When I discovered that my character, as well as the virtual people she encountered on her quest, had absolutely zero by way of personailty and development, I was disappointed to a degree that the game's aesthetics couldn't help me with. The plot of this game is also very, very weak. You start off working in your field-- you're a farmer, of all things-- when suddenly you are called on to defend your village against invading monsters, the "Krug". From then on, the game seems to go absolutely nowhere. As you explore dungeons, wilderness, and icy caverns, you'll find it hard to stop wondering what the point of it all is.
Just a little plot and character development could have put this game up there with Neverwinter Nights. If you're thinking of buying Dungeon Siege, don't-- shell out the extra twenty for Neverwinter Nights.

Summary: OK, but gets old about half way through.
Review: This is a somewhat unique game in that it is very easy to play without much learning or start up time. The strategy is a bit basic; kill everything, collect gold, and trade to upgrade your weapons and armor.

The graphics are great, however, so much of the game is based on fighting, sometimes taking 10 minutes for your team to fight through a band of enemies and progress a short distance, that the game quickly becomes a "take your hands off the PC and sit back until the fightings over" game.

About half way through the game, I found myself just wanting to finish the game so I didn't have to waste anymore of my time playing.

I would not recommend the game.

Summary: Best RPG money can buy
Review: I'd have to say that Dungeon Siege is possibly the most addictive game i've ever played.Thats rare considering I'm not a huge fan of RPGs.I bought this game one year a go and still I cant get it out of my mind.

Dungeon Siege haves you thrown in a vast world full of adventure without ever having to see a loading screen.
Your mission:
Rid the world of evil.

Of course this is no easy task considering you start out as a farm boy/girl. As the game progresses you'll learn new things.
Find tresures and kick some evil "rear". The best thing is you will never run out of things to do or find. Every step of the way is filled with action and whatever else in between.

Plus you have options. You like to beat up a krug with a sword, go ahead. You wanna blown up a goblin with magic, be my guest. This game is virtually endless with fun.

If you like RPGs get this game.
If you don't like RPGs get this game.

Summary: The Gauntlett has been Dropped......
Review: The new standard of game Graphics is here. The increadible 360 deg. cam views and zoom features are unreal. The ease of character/inventory manipulation is exactly what is needed to let you focus on one thing.... Playing the damn game! The environments and outdoor settings are unsurpassed. I payed 40.00 when I bought this game, and I would do it again. This is the next gen RPG game, and I recommend it to all who are looking for a great gaming experience. Yes there are a few details to work out, but compared to other RPG games out there this one is on the top. Game On!

Summary: What dungeon
Review: Pretty nice graphics, Not much charecter development. You juz pick what you want to kill with and that's it. Lots of different weapons though, with many different magical bonuses. Even unique items. Only thing that kept me interested. After playing the single player storyline, there's a bigger online storyline.

Summary: A Better Diablo II
Review: If you liked Diablo II & Lords of Destruction, you'll most likely enjoy this game. It plays very much like it. The graphics are far superior and you can vary the perspective to a certain degree. You can also add 7 additional party members that you have control as much as your primary character. This also means you can spread out the items you collect among your party members efficiently. Diablo II only allowed 1 additional party member and you had little control of what he/she did. The levels are beautifully done and the enemies challenging. However, the voice acting and dialogue in Diablo II are somewhat better. If you wanted more from Diablo II, this should satisfy your appetite.

Summary: Nice beginning, but needs more guts to it.
Review: By guts, I mean more story and interaction. This game claimed to be a role playing game. Seems that term is now slapped on anything that takes place in a fantasy element. You just run through, collect stuff, and kill stuff.

The game does give you the option of customizing your character as to his/her abilities. You can make him an archer, swordsman, or a wizard who can specialize in one of two types of magic. You can even create a mixture. You are also allowed to add(up to a certain number) and drop allies as your quest continues. Even with all of this, it is still not a role playing game. The submissions are few and quite bland. You can't decide what your character can do beyond a yes or no answer.

If you are into hack and slash, this game is right up your ally. If you want to immerse yourself into a cool and unique roleplaying environment, go somewhere else.

Summary: All the flash..
Review: ..without those pesky little things like plot and character development.

Yes, "Dungeon Siege" is the embodiment of the cliche "style over substance". I was taken in by the hype, lured by such phrases as "Epic storyline!" and "An amazing RPG adventure! Endless replay value!" when, instead, they should have read "What storyline?" and "A droll stroll through lifeless environs with little control over anything."

Had I expected a 3D carbon copy of Diablo II, I wouldn't be disappointed as I WOULD NOT have bought Dungeon Siege. As it stands, I have yet again learned to wait for reviews from honest sites (read: unbiased and unpaid for positive p/reviews) before buying--literally--into the latest hype.

That brings me to what I did not like: the shallow magic/combat/experience/level systems. Unfortunately for me, that's all Dungeon Siege is--one giant failure of a system, dipped in gold and coated with glitter.

It should be immediately evident to any true RPG fan that DS is, well, not: not an RPG, not a fun game, and not worth the time wasted playing it. Dungeon Siege is an action game, and not very good one. Swords and fireballs are not magical genre-transmogrifying game elements, and including them will not mask the fact that Dungeon Siege is anything but a ROLE-PLAYING game, and should never be listed as such.
