Summary: Really good!
Review: Monkey3 would rank as one of my favorite games. Perfect voice casting for all characters, but especially for Guybrush and LeChuck. I think that this Monkey game so far is the second best with Monkey 2:LeChuck's revenge, being the best.

The main letdown of this game is it's too short: there's not as much area to explore as LeChuck's Revenge. Puzzles were nicely challenging, but could have been more so. I know someone who completed this game in about a week! (mega-mode, and no, he didn't look up walkthroughs)

That's another thing, if you get this game, try to do it yourself! You'll appreciate it much more! These games are supposed to take forever to beat, 'cause you can't really play them over!

All in all though, I REALLY recommend this game! There are a few inside jokes you may not catch if you haven't played the other 2. If you like this one, definitely get the first two if you can find them!

Summary: A CLASSIC
Review: remember when games had that mood about them that sucked you in, when games were fun, rather then addictive, you played them as an alternative to books and such, not to fill in spair time. This game best represents games the way they were before games started to be more for money. Great humor and loads of fun packed adventure, the graphics will never grow old as they are cartoons =).

Summary: "YOU FIGHT LIKE A COW!"
Review: Sorry for the title. I figured it was a good attention grabber plus Guybrush says this many a time juring this game...

This is an excellent game! The cartoon graphics are cute, and they work quite well surprisingly. The characters themselves are well drawn and are have very individual, unique personalities.
I love the wit in this game. I found myself laughing out loud sometimes inspite of myself.
This is a very original and clever game, and it is far superior to many I have played.

(P.S. If you like this game, try playing "Escape from Monkey Island"- which isn't quite as good as this one though but still good- and "Grim Fandango" which I highly recommend!).

Summary: Great jumping Monkeys! This game still rocks!
Review: The Curse of Monkey Island is the 3rd game in Lucasarts' highly acclaimed graphic adventure series, and finds our hero Guybrush Threepwood tasked with removing a cursed ring that has turned his girlfriend into a gold statue.

My siblings and I dug this game out over the holidays, and (having memorized all the solutions to all the puzzles) went through it in one straight session. This game holds up surprisingly well for being close to a decade old. The graphics look like they were pulled straight from a cartoon, and only the pixelation in the cutscenes will hint at the game's true age. The voice acting is spot-on perfect (Alan Young, voice of Scrooge McDuck, has a hilarious role), with lots of clever dialogue and delivery and occasional references to Star Wars and other Lucasarts games. Puzzles are reasonably challenging without being too obscure, and most gamers should be able to find their way to the end without consulting a walkthrough too much, if at all.

The major strike against this game is that if you're not familiar with the Monkey Island series, a portion of the story and background will leave you scratching your head (such as why Guybrush starts the game floating in a bumper car in the middle of the ocean). The first two installments in the game were DOS-based, and they were old even when Curse of Monkey Island was new. There's actually a huge portion of the game at the end dedicated to sorting out all the various plot threads of the series, and new players might find this a little drawn out. Still, the basic premise of the game is simple enough to follow.

There's no guarantee this game will work on WindowsXP, but I've had no problems running it, so it's worth giving it a shot (a group of fans also developed programs to make the game run smoother, for those having difficulty with it). The Curse of Monkey Island is a classic game in a genre that has been criminally neglected in today's gaming industry.

Summary: Monkey Madness
Review: The Curse of Monkey Island was a fun-filled adventure that will keep you wanting more. It is very exciting, although the story is not as good as the first two games. Its animation is top notch and the sound is pretty good. I did have some problems with the sound every now and then. The characters would stutter and blip. Good game that is very good value for the money you pay. Buy it today!!

Summary: Challenging
Review: The Curse of Monkey Island, although for children you would think, requires much skill as to solving puzzles as well as some witty insults. I think that this is a good and challenging game for everyone, it is also very amusing.

Summary: Is very fun and not only for childrens
Review: The game is fun, and is kind of "Circle of Blood". A game of quest, and it make me laugh some time. I recomend it.

Summary: Rather Timeless
Review: The graphics are so unique and they make no attempt to be realistic so even amidst newer games, curse of monkey island holds its own. The voices are good and the jokes are great. I took one star off because unless you like to be boggled this game isn't for you. I must admit, I had to resort to online walkthroughs while playing this game because some of the puzzles are solved in the oddest ways -- most of them are far from logical. At this price, however, if you want a fun game -- curse of monkey island is for you. :)

Summary: nothing beats it
Review: the monkey island games are the best. I've been playing them since I was 6 and now I'm 14...I could never get enough of it.

Summary: Great adventure!
Review: The third Monkey Island game is one of the better adventures you'll ever play. The music is amazing, the voice acting perfect and the puzzles hard, but fair. What really stands out this time around though, is the gorgeous visuals. CMI looks like an interactive cartoon and the sense of details are amazing. The game isn't quite as good as the recently released Escape From Monkey Island and Grim Fandango, but still a must have. This is a perfect choice if you are interested in a game where you use your mind and not your trigger finger. Truely wonderful.
