Review: I really like this game, a lot. Kinda hard to get used too in the start but when you play a little you start 2 understand it.
I like it because there are so many different ways 2 win.
It aint all about brute force you can also win by other means :) Enjoy!

Summary: Antares beats anticipation
Review: Master of Orion 2: Battle at Antares is a entertaining piece of software. The interface is easy to learn and very user friendly. The game has multiple races and full customization for play. So you can play the same race and have it be different each time. The plot isn't very strong and the music is weak, but other than this I would rate the game as one of the best strategy games I've ever played and would recommend it and a hall of famer.

Summary: 14 yearold antaran killer
Review: This is one of the best turn based strategy games ever. You can choose from 13 already made races or make your own. This game is not for idiots it does not come with directions you got to figure it out on your own, if you need help it has on game help on the game (duh) to get you going. The hardest part is probably when your desighning your own race there are just so many choices. This game is not big on graphics or pictures but when your killing Antarans or Silicoids or whatever you wont care. The Antarans are the ancient enemy of the orions and will be coming out of nowhere and killing whatever they find every once in a while. (if you dont what to get attacked choose "lucky" as your race's special ability, it makes the Antarans "overlook" your colonys) If you need help on the game just right click on somthing and you will get a pop-up to help you. I sugest you dont get this game if you hevent played a game like civilization call to power, or any of the civilization games, if you liked them you will like this. And don't worry to much about the antarans you can select for them not to attack at the begining of the game. And also at the begining of the game select tactical combat if you want it to be any fun, without tactical combat when you fight the computer will just say who is the winner but with tactical combat you command every little thing your ships do. There is also this thing called a stellar converter it is not a ship it is a weapon you can put it on a ship or a planet. the stellar converter blows up planets! you can also use it on enemy ships too. But don't worry only small ships will get blown up in one shot bigger ships take quite a few shots with a stellar converter to destroy. But since it is turn based the enemy gets a shot back so don't expect to just keep shooting with the stellar converter. The game has difficulty settings Tutor, Easy, Medium, Hard, and Impossible. So don't worry if your not that good, oh yeah if the enemy has a good ship that you would like just board it and take it over!
This game is great don't be afraid to buy It!

Kill some Antarans for me!!!

Summary: One of the best turn-based strategy games ever!
Review: I've owned this game since the first day it came out. I've run it on every windows OS and had little to no problems (post-patch). It's a very stable and well constructed game that someone put good solid programming into.

As for gameplay, what else can I say... If you love, or even like, turn-based strategy games and wish to rule the universe, this game is a MUST HAVE! No game library should be without it!

FYI - Don't waste your time with MOO 3, they ruined it. They took a perfectly manageable gaming engine and turned it into a non-manageble nightmare.

Review: This game is really fun . Even though I'm only 12, this game was easy enough to understand after a couple weeks of practice. The fighting is awesome, even though it can get kinda annoying if you find Orion at the very begining and the Guardian kills you in. Overall, this game is great!!!!!

Summary: One of the greatest games of all time...
Review: Masters of Orion II is a great game. The options open to you allow you to develop your own race, your own ships, your own technologies, and there are several ways to win the game. I'll leave those for you to find out, but for the price of this game, any sci-fi fan should pick up a copy today!

Summary: Always reniewed amazing game
Review: The best strategy game ever. Turn based with a lot of buildings, research, planets... First you select your race (this also means handicaps or bonus...) from a quite big list OR you setup your race yourself. It will influence your industry/science/weapons/growth ratios... You can capture enemies planets, destroy colonies, attack ennemy fleets, make alliances or commerce pacts, setup your colonies to do what they can do the best (industry, food, research...) balance the food to other worlds (unless you choosed a lithovore species ?), battles are on a tactical 2D map and are really fine. I hope you were not going in holydays because this game is going to take you forever without even noticing it. A must have for stategy gamers (at least the ones that are not getting sick of turn based games)

Summary: The Best Space Strategy Game Ever
Review: In my concept, Moo2 is still the best game of it's class, unbeatable to this date. If you are a new player you might wonder why a 7-year-old game with old-fashioned graphics and a dumb AI is so good. The answer: put at least 2 addicted gamers on a LAN and you'll have days of endless fun! Manipulate the computer to declare war on your friends, spy on them, take them by surprise, it's amusing!
The micromanegement and nearly infinite custum-race options turn each new game on a surprise. The ship design is fantastic!
It is definetively a must have !

Summary: Still the best
Review: This game is still the best in turn based space strategy. Its intuitive interface, ease of learning/difficulty of mastery, fun space combat and ability to micromanage everything that matters are unsurpassed to this day (and the wannabe successor MoO3 doesn't even get anywhere near MoO2 in terms of fun).

But the greatest feature is the replayability. I own this game since it came out in 1996 and I still play it every other month. Be it wanting to try out a new custom race, attempting a new path of technology, or just wanting to wreak havoc upon a galaxy, leaving a path of 'stellarly converted' planets behind you (aka Alderaan hehe), a new game of MoO2 is fun every time, even after 7 years... There are not many games I can say that about... A true Master....
