Summary: Very Impressive!
Review: I know there are lots of gamers that are "disgruntled" because Star Wars has some bugs. Hey, guess what...it's a very complicated game. There are many aspects of the game itself that could not be mathematically calculated. Some things had to be explored/discovered as they came up. Since it's release, the Development team has worked very hard to maintain the updates, which I have been very impressed! I might add, very timely updates and have kept the consumers "in the loop" of what's going on! Keep up the great work SOE!

As for the game play itself...unbelievable. If you are a Star Wars fan you will NOT be let down! The missions are difficult, but this is a plus because things shouldn't be easy, they should be realistic. You want to be a Bounty Hunter? You better be ready to work for it!

The graphics are insanely excellent. I have a GeForce FX 5600 256Meg video card and it runs crystal clear.

Be ready for an acute addiction!!!! :)

Summary: I Find Your Lack of Faith Disturbing...
Review: This game is most definitely the best animated online roleplaying game and is a lot of fun to play... However I advise caution on purchasing this before December. There are mutliple bugs currently existing within the game and new ones have a habit of spawning all the time. The Techs for the game are overloaded with support questions, and the servers (around 15 of them) are mostly unreliable. They come out with patches almost daily and I am betting this game will have few, if any, bugs by December and the server reliability will be more consistent (many do not believe this will be so). On the plus side, when the servers are up this is probably one of the most satisfying games I have ever played. You can do missions for Jabba the Hutt and speak with him and Boba Fett or take a stand as an Imperial colonel and build yourself an Imperial Headquarters in the deserts of Tatooine, forests of Corellia, etc. You may also wish to muster a squad of stormtroopers to sack a rebel guild that has been agitating you or you could join the rebellion and come face to face with Luke Skywalker and mastering the jedi arts. Ultimately your greed may get the best of you and you will wish to be an independent contractor of sorts (perhaps a bountry hunter killing Rebel and Imperial followers or an artisan selling houses at a reasonable mark up) and live in a mansion estate on the far reaches of scenic Naboo and hire other players who are entertainers and chefs to dance in front of you, play relaxing songs all day long to soothe your woes, and make you elaborate meals to feast upon. Of course you may wish to contract some troopers (computer controlled) to patrol your mansion... just in case. On the whole: Good game, bad reliability for now...

Summary: Buggy
Review: I just bought this game and went to register and activate my account. Typed in my "account key" off the CD cover only to be told that this account had already been registered, sorry. This is a brand new game, unopened box, no typos.

Read reviews elsewhere, all stages of the game, registration, log-in and game play are full of bugs.

Summary: Amazing!
Review: Look, the thing about this game is, you get out of it what you put into it. It can be frustrating at first, yes. But give it a little time and it becomes amazing, at least it did for me. It's completely immersive, to an embarassing extent. I spend my late nights galavanting across the Tatooine desert with friends and yes, Virgina, there is a Star Wars again! This is a GREAT game, despite all the whining!

Summary: Bugs, Bugs, and More Bugs
Review: This is a great game crippled by game altering bugs. I spent two months putting up with them and finding ways to work around them, then finally one came I had no way around. After not being able to play for a week due to it, I cancelled.

This game needed at least six months to a year more of beta. It's unplayable right now.

Summary: Love it or hate it
Review: This is a game that people either love or hate. If you are looking for a role playing sci-fi game this is the game for you. If you are into more traditional MMORPG games where you hack and kill constantly this may not be for you. The game does not have shops that sell things you will need and do not have monsters drop uber armor and weapons. You MUST deal with other players to buy and sell things. There is a real working economy with prices on some things going up as demand allows and others with prices falling as supplies grow. Many of the professions do not require any fighting at all to advance to the top. Entertainers dance, play music and design visual effects to advance. Doctors heal. Architects make buildings, weaponsmiths make weapons (and unlike most MMORPGS, the game does not compete with the in game crafter - the game does not sell weapons or give them away with drops from kills).

It is truely a role playing game which is the source of it's rabid fans and equally rabid detractors. Many people love the real economy but some hate that they have to make what other people want instead of making whatever the person wishes to make. There is no market for anything if other players don't want to buy it.

Summary: A Galaxy far far away...Complainers be gone!!!
Review: This is the greatest game i have ever played. Im one of those people who usually play first person shooters, but this game is really amazing. Completey customize your character and attributes to astounding levels. Theres so much you can accomplish in this game. Curentley im an Imperial Lt. thats on a mission to destroy rebels. Massive battles for cities occur sometimes manytimes in one day. Think of 2 huge groups consisting of 30 people each come to clash together in a gigantic battle which sometimes last up to 40 minutes. At the end of the battle it might look like your loosing until one of your team mates summon his pet AT-ST walker to turn the tides of the war to your favor with ease. then your other partner calls out his 3 dark troopers to do a little bit of cleanup with the rest of the rebel scum. This game is endless and always fun!!!I really dont see why people complain so much about bugs!!! i have experianced a few bugs when i first got the game but now seems to be spotless. people who have complained in earlier reviews didnt give the game a chance at all. they probably couldnt connect like once so now there out to destroy the game reputation and its really sad. If you want a game that has endless situations this is a game for you!!!

Summary: Good concept -very bad game
Review: Like a lot of people I signed up for star wars galaxies hoping to live out my fantasy of being in the rebel alliance or being part of the empire. I was very disapointed. Many of the gaming mechanics are very off, although they did get correct some mistakes from other rpg's they really messed up on a bunch of other stuff. One thing is this game is STILL in beta, despite what the game developers might say. You are PAYING 15 dollars a month pluse a 50 dollar game to test and trial for them. The game is great for about 2 weeks if your a non-crafter. If your a crafter its great for about 2 hrs. Buyer beware. Try this game next year this time when they worked out all the bugs. Remember this does NOT include the space edition which will be another 50 when it comes out and another entire set of bugs.

Summary: too many bugs and no fixes in sight
Review: Skip this game if you want to stay a Star Wars fan. Items vanish and there are many various game stopping bugs. Most of the classes are broken and are simply unplayable. Well over half the skills in the game simply do work. This game appears to have been release a few years too early. If it wasn't for the Star Wars name, this game would never make it to retail.
