Summary: I am hooked.
Review: This is great but you really need to buy the Expansion pack. The extra features make the game worth it. I have been playing for too many weeks now and need to stop but I can't.

Summary: Total Bore!
Review: Oh my god! this gfame is so boring. This game is so predictable. I played it for 12 hours (not strait) and got so bored I wanted to play Super Troll Island! The graphics are okay, the enemy has no tactics except for swarm and die,the music is kool but not worth the gamplay. Dont get this game unless you are a hardcore gore lover, like cheesey graphics, or love rpgs to the point where you rename yourself after your favorite charactor.

Summary: Don't try to play this game online, Battle.net is too flaky
Review: I've played the first Diablo, and I liked that game a lot.

Diablo II is similar. Missing however, is the tactics that some of the bosses used in the first Diablo. These different tactics made certain bosses very difficult to kill, and this really added to the game. In Diablo II, even Diablo himself did not prove very difficult to dispatch.

I got Diablo II because I wanted to play on-line. Battle.net is a huge disappointment. It keeps going down, and the ping rates I get from it are all over the map. One minute I get a ping of 40 (which is ideal), and the next it is 10,000 (which is horrible). When the ping goes over 1000, expect your character to die, and for you to not even see the enemy that killed him/her. There are articles all over the net on this. It is called death by lag. Look into it before you buy this game to play on-line. It makes the game frustrating and not at all enjoyable.

If you are not going to play over the net, then Diablo II by itself would probably get 3 stars, but because Battle.net is so awful, its 1 star, and lucky to get that.

Summary: Good for a few months
Review: Diablo 2 is a game where you choose a class and run around exploring dungeons gaining experience and collecting items. This concept goes way back to the old days of Rogue and Dungeon Hack and perhaps even Adventure! so the idea is nothing new. Regardless, it is a fun game. The classes are different enough to make one interesting and there are tons of items to equip your character with. However, what keeps it from getting the 5 stars?
First of all, the classes are inbalanced as only a few of them actually are able to complete the game on the hardest setting (Hell, Players 8) where as other classes do not even have a chance. If you want to make a character that is different from the run-of-the-mill fantasy stereotype it will be hard to make a good one past nightmare. Also, the spells need more variety as alot of them are just hopped up versions of the ones you get earlier in the game and some skills are just worthless. Add that to the slow and unreliable servers Battlenet has up and running, and your online experiences will be varied on the scale of entertainment.

It is a good game for a while and offers plenty of replay value but it only takes so long till you are bogged down by the imbalances and repetiveness. I would definitely recommend buying the expansion in addition to it as it would greatly heighten your gaming experience.

Review: Great game....great action.......great tools but does anyone know how to [defeat] the giant slug or whatever he is. I think his name is Duriel or something. I'm an amazon and I can't [defeat] him. If anyone has a suggestion e-mail me at irinahat@yahoo.com, or write a review. Thanx, buy!

Summary: Does not get much worse than this
Review: This game is truly horrible in my opinion. It has no real plot, there are only 5 classes, You cannot customize what your characters look like or sound like, the side quests are horrible(if any). All you do is kill ,kill, kill. Missile weapons have no real use here because you are constantly being bombarded with monsters that blow up into a disgusting pile of blood when you kill them. The people who made the game are geniuses, I would never in a thousand years find so many ways to make a game terrible.

Summary: To U Kids who need parents to understand its not violent
Review: This game is a very entriuging game. I know this 4 experience. This game contains little to no violence, unlike the box says. The only kind of "gore" the game has is maybe a corpse after u defeat an enemy, but that goes away farely quickly. TRUST ME, it is not violent in any way. Think of it as self defense. While you adventure in the game things attack you not nise-nersa. So allow your kids or whoever to have a good time and understand that games like this are very unviolent and totally over rated in the violence scale.

Summary: Best game in years.
Review: I have had this game ever since it came out, and still play it to this day, for you can never truley beat it with online (b.net) game play.

At first it did have a few problems, but they have been fixed in their new patch which can be downloaded from their offical website.

This game had 5 characters that complete quest, gain items and gold, get skills , and of course, battle evil.

Some hot pc magazines said it was just a point and click game, but it is far more then that. This game requires skill, stratergy, and imagination. Expecially if you choose to duel other players on battle.net (b.net) which is a game in itself.

If you enjoy this, i highly recommend you get the expansion pack for it adds so many things to diablo2, it makes you never want to play the origional again.

~hope this helps

Summary: Great game
Review: This is one addictive game. I loved this game as soon as I started playing. Having waited so long for the sequel to Diablo, one of my all time favorites, I was not disappointed. The play control is easy to manage, the inventory is convenient, and the online games are great. Heartily recommended.

Summary: Game of the year!
Review: This game (although somewhat old now) get's the 2001 Bytronix game of the Year award. For whatever that's worth. My personal favorite game at present. Be sure to get the expansion as well.
