Summary: Is this game good? HELL YEAH!
Review: Let me just start by saing this, when I first got this game I played for 9 hours straight. I can only type this because Battle net is down right now. This game is more addictive then crack. If You liked Diablo at all, you will love this game. it is more of the same, but it is GREAT. Nothing comes closes to the feeling of Diablo 2. I can't stop playing. Second if you never played Diablo Try the demos of the orignal, they are about the same, only Diablo 2 is better. Third This game, like most games, is not perfect. There have been many bugs and many bugs are still out there. but the fact of the matter is that they got most of the worst ones out in the first two patches. so it is pretty sweet right now. Fourth, the only really negative thing you can say about this game is that Battle.net (the internet version) of it is down more then I like. But This is only the first month, once they get the bugs out they should have a totally excellent gaming engine. Fifth. If you have not gone out to get this game, you are missing out on a great game. IT is not the next DOOM But the orignal Diablo changed the industry and the new Diablo 2 is still rocking. If you like RPG and such you will LOVE Diablo 2. If you don't like RPG then try anyways (I was never a fan before these games) If you hate RPG Please move along and find other games. One final word of warning. Make sure to have a weekend coming up when you get this game, because it is so addictive. And have fun because this is the game of the year.

Summary: Game of the Year
Review: I have been waiting for diablo 2 since i beat the original. Blizzard did not let me or the other millions of millions of gamers down. Diablo 2 is the Game of the Year. No other games need to come out and try to beat it. If you never played the original, buy it and Diablo 2 at the same time. Beat the first one, then try you luck against a more powerful array of enemies. The only thing i suggest (other than buy this game) is buy the strategy guide. Trust me it helps.

Summary: Typical sequel
Review: While I think Diablo 2 is a great game and I enjoy playing it a great deal, there are negatives enough to make this a title better purchased on sale. On the up side, the plot is phenomenal, the characters are very exciting and interesting, and the world is more fun to be in. On the down, though, is the utter lack of replay ability, even given the new character classes. Unlike its originator, Diablo 2 featues only 6 quests per Act, all of which are set in stone - the order of presentation doesn;t even change game to game. There are numerous glitches in the game even after 2 patches, and there is no strategic thought into how to complete any given activity - the quest log leads you by the nose through everything. Overall the game is fun and I am pleased that it was money well spent for the entertainment, but after 3 years, I think Blizzard could have presented a much better game.

Summary: A must have....
Review: I finished D2 last night around 2 am, I can tell you that this game kicks! Yeah we all know that it lacks better graphics and it has some trouble with all the patches and glitches, but trust me that once you get to Act 4 and kick some Diablo Butt, you think that it ends there and yes it does until you see the epilogue....and all I can say is that Blizzard Entertainment rules and I commend all the people who made this Diablo series a reality to us role player addicts like myself and now the wait begins for Diablo 3.

Keep up the good work Blizzard!

Summary: It's okay
Review: Well, my whole opinion of this game goes like this, the game itself <plot, characters, and gameplay> is what makes me give it 4 stars. However despite all of its pros I have noticed that the cons made me give it ONLY 4 stars, such as it's lag time and it's non improvement in it's graphics. I really like the game overall and am happy with the purchase of it.

Summary: It was worth the waiting!
Review: This game really rocks! I'll tell you why...

GRAPHICS: 3,5 STARS

The graphics are pretty good, but not shocking. The animations are fine and the spell-effects look good too. But, I expected more of the graphics. I don't really care that the graphics aren't the best I've ever seen, because...

GAMEPLAY: 5 STARS

...the gameplay is devilishly good! You'll be playing this game for months! The storyline is very good, and the multi-playermode is even better than the singleplayer-mode! There's a great variety in weapons, and each character has a really different kind of gameplay.

CONCLUSION

Buy this game! It's great!

PERFORMANCE-TEST

PI 200 mhz, 32 MB RAM, 4 MB onboard-videomemory, 24 x cd-rom, singleplayer-install (650 MB), low detail: 1/12 (awfully sluggish performance)

PII 233 mhz, 64 MB RAM, Voodoo 2 12 MB, 44x cd-rom, singleplayer-install (650 MB), medium detail: 5/12 (reasonable performance, but not good enough)

PII 350 mhz, 64 MB RAM, Voodoo 2 12 MB, singleplayer-install (650 MB), 32/4x DVD, high detail: 7/12 (more than reasonable performance)

PIII 450 mhz, 128 MB RAM, TNT 2 32 MB, singelplayer-install (650 MB), 44x CD-ROM, high detail: 10/12 (good performance but not perfect)

If you want to buy this game, I'd recommend a PII 400 mhz, with at least a Voodoo 2, and 64 MB RAM (more is much better!)

Summary: DOS days are here again
Review: The game has many flaws in it making it almost unplayable. The most notable is the Anti-copy feature on the CD's themselves making it impossible for some CD and DVD drives to read. At present Blizzard has no plans to fix this feature. Also the graphics and lag time in both online and single play are bad. In order to get the game to play you will need to tinker with the drivers and system options to get it to work. Reminds me of the old days of DOS where a Boot Disk had to be created to change your memory options. The box reports a minimum of 32Meg of memory, I would think it is closer to 64Meg. If your character incounters a large amount of monsters it will bog way down and the monsters will kill you before you get a hit in. If you must absolutely have the game I would wait a month for the problems to be fixed. There are already 2 patches in less then 2 weeks with number 3 in the works.

Summary: Diablo II Rocks
Review: Diablo 2 is a great game with a lot of new improvements of the original. The graphics are great along with the gameplay and the all new skills tech-tree. The only problem i found with is is that Blizzard got rid of the load time for new areas so the game lags a bit when you go somewhere new. The 5 character classes are great, the Necromancer being my favorite. Thats it, its a great game and you should get it as soon as possible

Summary: Mindless
Review: The game is a giant step sideways in every area possible. The graphics support only 640 X 480 resolution which will leave you feeling more like you've transported to 1991 than 1491. The spell system has been entirely revamped, replacing the hunt for spell books with preset, character specific skill trees that your "hero" traverses as he/she gains in levels. A nice idea, but one ultimetly rendered useless when the strategy of the player (or lack there of) only calls for melee combat skills, effectivelly rendering both caster classes more of a defensive liability than a subset rich in magical ability.

The sheer stupidity of the gameplay also reduces the 3 "hack em up" classes (Amazon, Barbarian, Paladin) to the role of "Diablo I's warrior with a more varied wardrobe." All of the promised additions to this game that would have created any sembelance of an "online community" have been removed, most notably dedicated guild halls, with guild shared storage space.

Honestly this game is basically diablo I with 3 warrior classes as opposed to 1. The original was by no means an exercize in cognitive ability, but it had a simplistic charm and was alot of fun. Four years to improve upon the initial design has resulted in absolutely no new ground being broken. The simplicity is highlighted ironically by one of the selling points, which is of course how large the sequel's playing field is (4 towns, four acts with many areas). When all you can do is click on hostile blobs, hundreds and hundreds of times to reach the next collection of slighly larger, but equally dumb blobs, you'll long for the days of 16 smaller levels.

If you want to make the same mistake and pay 50 bucks to play Diablo I stretched out over an enormous playing field then be my guest. Personally I'd wait a year and pick up a copy from a bargin bin for $19.99

Summary: THE BEST GAME EVER!
Review: I received DiabloII as a gift from one of my reatives. I had heard alot about the game before I got it and I loved the first Diablo. But what I saw when I booted up the game for the first time was better than anything I could imagine. The minute I started I was blown away by a fantastic pre-game cinimatic that was a movie in it self. The new story was predictable enough but I don't care. When I started playing I saw graphics that were alot better than the original game. The new character classes are great, but the best thing about this game is actually playing it. It is sooo adictive I've been playing non stop since I got it I've skipped meals, stayed up 'till 4 in the morning an so on and I'm still not done with the game. It's really huge. When I've beaten the single player game. I plan to enter the expansive arena of multiplayer Diablo on Battle.net. I'll be busy with this game for quite a while. I highly recomend this game to anyone who has hacked a monster to death in a slimey, dark dungeon and even to anyone who hasn't.
