Summary: This is Blizzards best game ever
Review: Me being a great fan of Blizzard I have played most of their games and Diablo 2 is the best by a long shot. The spells and weapans alone are enough to keep you awake for hours at night, the ghaphics aren't much improved from the first Diablo but none the less they are still better. There are so many quests to defeat and boss's to kill that once you clock the game you'll just want to do it again.Ohh wicth brings me to the point there are five charcters to chose from and also three class's to chose from basicly they are easy meadium and hard so all you peaple who have read this you know to buy Diablo 2.C ya

dude, even my mom can beat this game. she doesnt speak english, and she cannot read neither. it is so easy that she got bored when she was fighting diablo (the last boss). and she yelled at me: "I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU SEPNT 10 DOLLARS ON THIS CRAP!" (i lied to my mom that Diablo II is only 10 dolars. I dont want to die, you know?)

well, Blizzard is always my favorite game company, but it is really a company that suited best for strategy games, look at Starcraft and WC II, they r awsome.

if you are a gamer happend to look for a roleplaying with balanced battle system, and a great developed story line. i recomand you check out Planescape Torment and Baldur's Gate II. but if you are just as i described above......BUY IT!

Summary: Awaiting the sequel to Diablo II - the mission to fight Baal
Review: After playing Diablo II it was really interesting that I chose another class character to fight. It seems that different class characters yield different results and storylines. Using the TCP/IP link was very easy and I could connect to my friends easily. What's fun about Diablo II is the fact that you can see the difference each individual character makes in a party. Great cinematics from Blizzard Entertainment. Eagerly awaiting the release of Diablo II sequel, afterwhich we will have Diablo III! Well done!

Summary: Blizzard does it again.
Review: I'll keep it short, this is a great game. Every part of the game is exceptional and has incredible amounts of replayability. Better than Diablo (which was a great game itself), it is one of the best games I have ever played. I wouldn't want to be a game company schedualed to release a game when this came out!

Summary: Fun...but a Little Boring
Review: Okay. I was never a big fan of the first Diablo game. One dungeon. Many levels. Many monsters. Many weapons. Many left clicks. That was really it. The story was decent, but as far as "engrossing" RPGs go, it could've been a lot better.

Along comes Diablo II, and I hoped it resolved the problems of the first game. First off, the graphics weren't really updated. In Act 1, the monsters looked bitmapped, and the animations weren't too hot. As the game progressed, the graphics got a little better, but still, I don't play games for the graphics foremost; it's the gameplay that counts. And again, this is where the Diablo franchise stalls. I like the 5 different classes; it makes for terrific replay value. But then again, when Icewind Dale, Planscape: Torment, and Baldur's Gate I and II are out there, do you really have time to go ahead and play the same game again as a different character? The skills were pretty cool and the plot was masterfully written and detailed in breathtakinig cutscenes. But something is missing in this game. I found some of the quests tedious and boring, without any real fulfillment when I completed them. It was like, "go here, kill this thing, and come back when you're done." Still, I did find myself battling hordes of demons well into the night, so it did keep my interest, simply based on the fact that I wanted to kill the big dude at the end. I worked hard to build up my barbarian, and I wanted it to be all worth it. The different locations were nice, although slightly formulaic (desert, jungle, ruins, etc.), and the ability to customize your character was a breath of fresh air. NPCs were okay, as your interaction with them was limited to mostly gossip and a few quest checkpoints. But don't get me wrong: Diablo II is a nice game, and probably worth the money. But if you're looking for a real story with a "true" RPG feel (a la different characters in a party format), do yourself a favor and pick up Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale. But if you're into tried-and-true, mindless hack-and-slash, Diablo II is your game.

Summary: Blizzard's most anticipated game
Review: You know, Blizzard just can NOT make a bad game. I mean, Blizzard could make a game about a crime fighting talking spatula played from a "second-person" perspective and it would still somehow rule.

That said, Diablo 2 is finally out and it is, well, incredible. Everything you knew and loved from the old Diablo is back in spades. Five all new character classes, each with their own unique skills which you yourself can further customize to your liking, thousands of new weapons, the ability to make your own magic weapons with crystals and gems, random maps, random items, slews of new unique monsters, the list goes on and on. Needless to say this game has replay value comin' out of the keister.

The sound is awesome with a good solid mixture of creepy sound effects and subtle, bone crunching fight noises. The voice acting is good, for the most part, though some is a little lacking (the actress who played Kerrigen in Starcraft does a lackluster job of voicing a Rogue, for example.) And the voice acting really shines in the scinematic scenes which are simnply breathtaking.

Also, despite what you may have heard, the graphics are muched improved over the original Diablo (but only if you have a 3D card). Granted, they are still only 640x480, but everything scrolls in true 3d and the lighting effects are dead-on, adding a real depth to the game. Plus the overworld has added weather effects as well as an interesting feature: Gradual transition from night to day. So as you fight in the wilderness the light actually brightens and dims, which not only looks cool but adds an extra element of strategy.

All that said, Diablo 2 is lacking in a couple of points. First the whole repopulation thing after saves somehow makes victories feel less permanent and meaningul, especially since even bosses have the annoying habit of repopping. Also, the fact that whenever you save it results in regen and repop can be quite inconvenient at times. Lastly, your storage space is really tight, forcing you to make some really tough decisions on what items you wish to keep when your really shouldn't have to.

That said, this game still puts everything else to shame, and I mean everything. The Great Pyramids of Giza got nothing on this game. Buy it.

Summary: One of the best games I have played recently.
Review: I was over at a friend's house today, and I got the oppurtunity to play one of the most fantastic and exhilerating games I have played in years. The graphics were unchanged from the first Diablo, but so smooth and lively that it really didnt matter. I was not at all a huge fan of the first Diablo game, I thought it was far too complicated with magic scrolls to use any types of magic and without having mastered the "art" of using your mana and potions correctly, you were doomed to failure in the levels which required more skill. I played for a mere hour before leaving for a previously scheduled arrangement, and I did not want to leave the screen of the computer. I did, but by force and just a few moments ago I purchased my own copy of the game. This addition to the Blizzard games should not be one passed by; it has much less complicated game play and, in my opinion, is much more appealing than the first Diablo.
