Summary: Big disapointment... (buy Neverwinter Nights instead!)
Review: This was worst thing i ever bought in my life! I admit the grahics are pretty awsome(and thats why i gave it two stars), but the storyline is just boring and the battles are just to confusing. When you fight you have to click to make a jab,and after 2 min. of that i just want to turn my computer off. Neverwinter Nights is way better!

Summary: Best 3-D RPG ever!...
Review: The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is truly a masterpeice in every catagory you could think of; graphics, sound, background story, game-play, controls, etc. It wins in every catagory. Where to begin...Where to begin? What can I say? Morrowind is the ultimate 3-D RPG. I guess I'll start in the graphics catagory:

Incredible!... Beatiful scenery. Even on low or medium details, there really isn't much of a difference. Really, the 3-D graphics are absoluteley super-pretty in morrowind.
Here are some specific graphics moments to pay attention to in Morrowind:

#1: Dynamic spectacular lightning system. It isn't perfect, but I've never seen an RPG released before or at Spring 2002 that has produced such fast lightning system graphics. When someone goes near a light source that emitts light, IT ACTUALLY EFFECTS THEM. When it's any weather type at any type of day, there's actually a emitt of the weather/time of day light/fogg cast all around all objects and textures in morrowind. Splendid. There's actually a volumetric sun. It looks awesome. It casts bright light & shadow on all objects & textures in morrowind. So good! When someone pulls out a torch, the flashing lightning actually really looks realistic how it effects all objects and textures near it + the character using the torch. When you go near any light source it effects you. Fogg is amazing. Truly realistic. Amazing ash-storms. Awesome! And more.Unique dynamic lightning indeed.

#2: Shadows. WOW! Any object or textures casts a real-time shadow that casts onto any object or surface and changes size and acuratelley mimics the character's outline. Amazing.

#3: Water! INCREDIBLE!... THIS is the true star of morrowind. If you don't have pixel-shader enabled card, the water looks ok, but not great. Now let's talk about the opposite. WOW! The water actually has active ripples activated by wind swaying! And the reflection quality within the angle's view is amazing. Truly realistic. When it rained, I looked down at the water and my jaw dropped down. EVERY SINGLE DROP OF WATER ACTUALLY cReATED A RIPPLE + REALISTIC DROP EFFECT TO THE WATER! AMAZING!! And the realistic transparent view is amazing.

#3: Super-High polygon counts. WOW! Every object ha very high polygon count making their design realistic. The world truly nearly resembles real life quality design. Incredible.

#3: High-Resolution realistic textures and objects. Holy [cow], look at the resolution of textures. WOW! Everything is almost real quality texture resolution! And the objects realisim is amazing. I can't even explain it.

#4: Weather system. OH MY GOD, random changing weather, from rain to ash-storms, to foggy days, to dark days, from afternoon to night to morning time, to sunny days, etc. It's all awesome.

Those were basically all the major graphics notes. All else does not apply.

Sound? Great. Awesome. I'll start with the musical score:

Music:

WOW! Incredible classical music score. Suits the game perfectly, is very relaxing, is dynamic, but can be repetetive.

Sound:

Nice. 3-D hardware audio support is nice. Realistic reverb + voice + sound effects(except foot fall and weapon attack harm effects)and more. It is truly great.

That was sound, here is game-play:

Game-play:

Game-play??? Amazing. YOU CAN LITERALLY DO ANYTHING YOU WANT OR GO ANYTHING YOU WANT!!It's so incredible...here are some special notes:

#1: LIVE ANOTHER LIFE!... Play as any character you can imagine, from the heroic warrior to a secret assassin!
#2: Explore another world. The enormous game world is open, and free to discover. You can literally go anywhere you want and do anything you want!
#3: CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS:

You can involve yourself in a guild politics and a huge variety of quests. Thousands of characters remember you and your actions.

Performance:

Great. Ran fine on my computer, Dell Dimension 8200, P4 2GHZ 512MB of RDRAM, GeForce 4 Ti4600, Windows XP, and so on. Performance was VERY satisfying. The frame rate rareley dropped to an kind of slow state, and when it did, it was hardly noticeable with all that's going on in the world.

Story-line:

Nice. Cinematics and chats + omens and more represent the story well, and the story is graceful and interesting.

Morrowind is the ultimate RPG. No, rephrase that: The ultimate game. It truly is. If you've saved up about around 30$, and your looking for a game to spend on the market, THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT. Even for a First Person Shooter lover, this game is what YOU WANT. If you can buy morrowind, the money you saved that you spent is worth it!

Review: DO NOT GET THIS GAME IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME PLAYING AN RPG GAME !
It will ruin it for you, you will NEVER be able to play an RPG game without thinking "oh man, this is good but morrowind is better". Trust me, this game is the best game literaly ever, puts you completely into another world.

Summary: Playable on a p500 lowest setting....riight....
Review: Morrowind is a true RPG masterpeice. It's IN-DEPTH FREE DEEP "do what ever you want, go where ever you want" game play, "gorgeous hyper-realistic" graphics, and "specialized real-time character development" makes morrowind a true masterpiece. But other than that, morrowind is just another average RPG. The fights are merely ok, but after the first time or two just plain get repetetive or boring, unless your at the right level with the right skills, class, race, and inventory :). On the audio side, MORROWIND features one of the best musical score I've heard in the game. The music suits the game very well, and, can be uh..."enchanting"...LOL! And no multiplayer? Sure, it would be nice if there was multiplayer, but first of all: The game play seems more of a SINGLE PLAYER only game. Second of all: The open-ended single-player game play doesn't truly need or ask for any multiplayer anyway...;-). And about graphics, well, they are gorgeous. Even on a 3DFX Voodoo 3, the graphics are spectacular, from the beatiful real-time weather system, to the gorgeos realistic high-resolution texture and objects, to the beatiful splashing reflective rippled water(if you have a pixel-shaded supported video card), to the real time shadows that are cast by any character or creature, to the incredible high-polygon accounts and vast interior and exterior scenery and landscapes, etc. It's all great. But what really effects the graphics is PLAYABILITY FRAME-RATE-PER-SECOND PERFORMANCE, which I was not getting from some of my computers. OK, I have five computers:
One is:
Windows 98SE
P3 500
128MB of RAM
3DFX Voodoo 3
Onboard 6-channel A3D 97' audio
two 16gigabatye hard drives
56kmodem
DirectX8.1
and more

Now even at the lowest settings, MORROWIND looked good, but was UNPLAYABLE. I hated it. It took me forever just to get out of the SEYDA NEEN! AT LOWEST SETTINGS! LITERALLY! It locked up to often, paused in game play to often, for long or short or normal periods, it crashed to the desktop too often. I really was disapointed with performance.

My second computer is:
Windows ME Proffesional Edition
PIII 900
256 MB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 256 32mb
Sound Blaster Live!
two 30gigabyte hard drives
ISDN 128k
DirectX8.1
And more

Now it was very playable at the lowest settings, and looked quite beatiful. At medium settings it was playable, but slow. At highest settings it was unplayable. And it crashed occasionally.

my third system is:
Windows 2000 Proffesional edition
P4 1.7
384 MB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 2 Ultra
Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Plantinum
two 40gigabyte hard drives
Yahoo SBC DSL 300k+
DirectX8.1b
And more

It was very fast at the lowest settings, was very playable at medium settings, and was a bit slow but playable at highest settings. And looked beatiful. And ran fine. I some times got crashes.

My fourth system is:
Windows XP Proffesional Edition
P4 2.53
512MB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 4 ti4200

Sound Blaster Audigy! Plantinum 5.1 EX GAMER
to 80gigabyte hard drives
T1
DirectX 9.0
And more

The game was soo fast at lowest settings, and at medium settings, and was very fast at high settings, even with pixel-shading enabled. AND THE WATER? I don't even want to start there. It's so beatiful you'll faint. The game rareley crashed. I was very satisfied with performance, but NO ONE could be more satisified with my final fifth system's performance:

Windows XP Proffesional Edition
P4 3.06
1GB of RAM
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
Sound Blaster Audigy 2! 6.1 Plantinum EX
Four 200Gigabyte Hard Drives
T3
DirectX9.0a
And more

Of course it was sooooooooo playable at medium, high, and lowest settings. And looked very beatiful. The game never crashed.(Although it might later) And I had the best experience on that machine.

I suggest if you want to play morrowind, get a budget quality computer and enjoy :)

Summary: Overrated
Review: Although the games graphics, depth, and sounds tend to be gorgeous, you will just find your self saving up gold to buy items for unexciting battles. All battles are are a mix of luck and what you have in your inventory. There is really no strategy and fun to be had in this area of the game. Otherwise, the game is a true representation of an RPG masterpiece. You can do just about anything you want. And a huge world to match. Besides the battles, great game.

Summary: "Best RPG Everr?" What a joke!
Review: OH COME ON. It's not the best. Sure, the *game play* is the best ever, but that's it. Infact, the game would hardly run on my computer, ... If you don't care about graphics and audio as longa s this game has a decent story line and good game play and is playable at some settings, the truth is there is NO harm in getting MORROWIND. But if your the exact opposite, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME!

Summary: Niceley designed add-on without a doubt
Review: I am going to make this review short. Tribunal is an excellent addition to morrowind. And better yet, even like Unreal Gold, it's built into morrowind. Which is just plain awesome. New locations, items, allies, enemies, and just plain ordinary characters interestingly and beatifully designed and fun to interact with have been deisgned in tribunal. Although the expansion pack is a bit small, (which why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars), it is a great addition to morrowind, and I cannot wait till the bloodmoon expansion pack comes out.(I also got decent frame rates in areas of tribunal), I reocmmend it!

Summary: You get your money's worth.
Review: You can enjoy this game for a long time. The world is huge and you can go where you want and do what you want. (You don't have to walk along a path like in Dungeon Siege, Diablo, or Arcanum.) Morrowind is my favorite game so far. I've been playing for a month, for hours a day.

Summary: The Greatest RPG Ever made
Review: I am going to shorten my review by basically saying you can do anything you could possibly want to in this astonishing game. You can simply wonder around in the woods for hours, killing animals to improve your character's abilities, or you can go into a village and slaughter townsfolk, soon after stealing every single item in their house, down to the last spoon. Then, you can go sell all of it and become a rich man! You can join guilds and learn the ways of the fighter or the magician. You can do it all in this amazing simulation of fantasy Midievil times. It's huge, packed with information, and yours for the exploring. You can even swim out into the ocean for about 500 miles (I was really bored one day) If you're an RPG fan, buy this game immediately; no matter what the console.

Summary: An anti-social gamer's new RPG addiction
Review: Morrowind has quickly become my favorite RPG, primarily because I am not required to team up with anyone in order to play. I don't enjoy games that I have to play online, with other people. I like to play at home, by myself and do whatever I want with my characters and my game, without offending anyone or thwarting the plans and goals of other players. And I don't have to deal with those tiny chat windows in many online RPG's today. I hate that.

Morrowind is rich with impressive graphic detail, subplots, and interesting NPCs to interact with. I also like the fact that the player is not required to follow preset timeline or graduated set of "quests" in order to play the game. If you don't want to do the main quest, then don't. The game doesn't care. I did play to fulfill the main quest, but I completed many subquests along the way. Remember, unlike a lot of games, this one doesn't restrict where you can go based on level of experience, so you're perfectly capable of getting into conflicts your character can't possibly survive, which makes the game much more realistic. After all, nobody keeps us from getting into trouble we can't get out of in the real world, do they?

This leads me to my one complaint about the game. By the time I got around to finishing the main quest, my character was so experienced and powerful, that the final fight with the character that every NPC in the game is terrified of, was child's play. So, play! Forever, if you like, but if that main quest is your foremost goal, don't wait too long to finish it, or the anticlimatic result may disappoint you.
