Summary: an excellent title
Review: I would definatly recommend anyone who liked unreal to buy this game. It looks like it will be even better. Certainly much better than UT2003. From what I have seen of U2 it looks like it will be a game with alot of atmosphere. This is somthing UT2003 lacks completly. If you buy U2 you will probably find your self coming back to it again and again (this if u dont fin it to scary :P)

Summary: Look out Halo!
Review: ... It's a sequel to the original Unreal. Although it will be about five times better. It has great graphics from the screenshots I've seen and it just looks overall awesome. I can't wait. Also, the name is NOT Unreal Episode 2. The official name is Unreal II: The Awakening.

Summary: UT was Unreal
Review: First off, Unreal and Unreal Tournament are really two separate series. Unreal is a single player game, with a story based play. UT was multiplayer and nothing more. Personally, I prefer Unreal better.

Summary: Uh, Why Are People Complaining?
Review: As is stated below, UT 2k3 is coming out. So why post complaints about a single player game that hasn't even come out yet? This game goes back to what made Unreal a big name in gaming. So lay off, at least until you can actually play it...

Summary: Successor to the Original Unreal
Review: Many fans of the Unreal series were drawn in by the excellent Unreal Tournament (UT) - surely the best ever First Person Shooter (FPS). However, UT itself was a progression from "Unreal". With UT having recently been updated to UT2003 the original Unreal is being updated to Unreal 2. And not before time! Unreal, in it's day was a major step forward in First Person Shooters but looks very dated now.

While UT was more recent that Unreal it is essentially a different type of game more oriented to multi-player sessions. This release, Unreal 2 will focus more on single person mission-based play. The underlying gaming engine in Unreal 2 is set to be more advanced than UT2K3 and will use the more recent functions developed in the graphics card sector.

This looks like a great game and is probably a must-have in terms of the importance of this release. However, one word of caution - watch out for the system requirements. My experience with UT and UT2003 has been that in order to play the game well you really need to be talking about a PC at the top end of what is available. Remember that the developers are putting this game in the market for the next few years not just for the next month so often they are pre-empting what systems are currently available. My advice would be to check this with one of the PC game magazines if you are not 100% confident of your PC. If you are confident then go ahead and get this.

Hope you enjoy it!

Summary: This game I am more than exicited about!
Review: I love the unreal series..... yet when I heard about Unreal 2
coming out, I knew that with only a intel pentium2.... 350mhz, Ndvdia tnt, 128 sdram, I was not prepard for Unreal 2, Yet.....Once I got my killer system, a Intel Pentium 4, 1.7, ghz, Ndvidia's Geforce 2, with tv out, 256 rdram, and windows xp home edition....I'm ready now for unreal 2, and when it comes out, I'm going to kick [buttox] on it for sure!

Summary: Two Unreal games for the price of one....um ..two.
Review: For everyone who hasn't heard the news Unreal II will no longer have multiplayer. Instead Unreal Tournament 2003 (UT2k3) will be released in it's place. Unreal II is now single player only. Now the first thing I thought was "Why?" Then I thought ,"Why complain? I can have two new Unreal games instead of one."

Another thing I realized is that there is a massive Unreal community out there and that I can always depend on them. Even if Unreal II won't have multiplayer someone in the community will make new levels to enjoy.

Another game I know didn't have multiplayer. It is called Deus Ex. But later they released a patch that added multiplayer. The developers could do this or release an expansion that adds this feature. So do not give up on Unreal yet, for we have not seen the future yet.

Another thing we can learn from Deus Ex is that games don't need multiplayer to be good. Deus Ex is one of the best games I have and I never play multiplayer on it.

As for Unreal II itself it looks to be an amazing game. Beautiful graphics set in a world made by a company that can tell a story. Combat should be team based through most of the game. Classes like in Team Fortress may be used but that was going to be a multiplayer thing so it may not happen. Weapons are going to be regular with a few UT type thrown in there.

So keep your hopes up, Unreal II is still going to be good, it just won't have multiplayer. And for all of those wanting multiplayer just hope for a patch, mod, or expansion pack.

Summary: Unreal II
Review: Unreal II will be one of the best releases this year. You do not play the prisoner in the orginal game but a colonal in some sort of an interplanetary military force who keep the universe safe. It is not made by epic but by a company known for making RPG games, so we can expect a good story and a interactive game world. It also does not have a multiplayer but Unreal Tournament II is also made and it will have good multiplayer games. When Unreal was released i did not have the system requierments to play the game smoothly. Fortunatly i have a killer system now.

Summary: Going to be awesome!!
Review: Unreal is one of the best game sieries on the planet. Unreal was great, Unreal Tournament was awesome, and Unreal 2 is going to be incredible. The graphics are taking full advantage of every high end graphics card on the market, and this makes the graphics incredible. Even though the game has incredible sounds and graphics, the system requirements are very low. The game runs well on a P2 450 mhz (or so they say). If you have a high end graphics card, a good clock speed on your CPU, and a good sound card and speakers, and like first person shooters, you should definietely get this game. The game is having a great story line and has awesome tactics and graphics. It also has high replay value, for the game has different difficulty levels, and rumor is that you may be able to play as different people.

The weapons will be alien and human, and you are fighting in a fun, realistic, futuristic environment. UNREAL 2 SHOULD BE A BLAST!!

Summary: Unreally really bad
Review: I have to be honest... I never finished this game. It was horrible. In fact, I'll be bold enough to say it was one of the worst games I've ever seen and played. In a day and age where we have truly innovative shooters such as Halo and Half Life, why, tell me why would someone release this drivel? First of all, allow me to quash some of the statements that various folks made above: This game is NOT polished. The cookie cutter environments are bland in design and are chock full of those invisible barriers that plague so many FPS games. And the animation is awful; next time you play any game try blinking your eyes really fast while looking at the screen. That's what enemies look like when they move/attack/die in Unreal 2. I can't stop laughing at the guy above who said "Stop with the complex plots. People want simplicity!" Did you have a hard time following the story, buddy? Don't speak for me or anyone else. I don't want simplicity. I like to play games that don't talk down to me. In all seriousness, this is one of the most linear, watered down bargain basement action titles that I've ever subjected myself to. What happened to you Atari? I have a suggestion for your new slogan: "Atari. Games For Stupid People."
