Review: microsoft could take lessions in combat flight sims. from ubi soft. this game has excellent graphics,exciting missions & with an add-ons from just-flight you'll have hours & hours of flight & fight on the eastern front. this sim is a must buy!

Review: This is a great game. It is inherrently more interesting than cfs2 in that you are not dealing with endless blue sky, blue water and identical atols. My only major caveat is that you have to fly all the way to the action. This cannot be excused on realism grounds as you have option of putting the plane on auto pilot and keying in accelerated flying speeds. Otherwise it is absolutely great--graphics,modeling,ground attack,scenery are all excellent. Picking out the enemy tanks from the friendy tanks in a interpenetrating front situation among village streets and small farms is a hard as it must have been in reality. Good game! Could be improved by including some of the best features from cfs1, cfs2 and Red Baron 3d. Seems to be inspired mainly by Janes World War 2 fighters---it definitely uses all the features that makes that game great!

Summary: IL2 beats the lot
Review: I bought this sim after been seriously disapointed by CFS3, but i can honestly say this is a product that blows micro$oft out of the water. upon first installation I found out you need to update two new patches of 30mb and 70mb but once they were done it worked a dream and the product web site gives you all the tech support you could ever need if you are having any probs with it. I also fly FS2002 pro which up until now i thought was unbeatable but this comes close in its own way. the graphics are smooth and the clouds and sun are amazing. Sometimes when the artificial intelligence is shooting at you I flinch it is that realistic. The sound and flight models are incredible and the range of aircraft and missions will not let you get bored too easily. I even sometimes just fly it without armament because its that enjoyable. A lot of thought and hard work went into making this sim and if you love flying be it real or sim then this is the one I recommend over all others, along with FS2002 to which i am still loyal :) because this is a battle sim and doesnt have the same choice of airports and peacetime planes but its flyability is second to none.

Summary: Real fun
Review: This is a very fun game. I enjoy playing it all the time. But the plane modeling is not really great. The terrain is outstanding and flying is very real with its realistic weather. I have to adnit, it is inferior to CFS3, but it is worth its price. So if you dont have enough money to buy CFS3, this is still a great game to buy.

Review: After reading all the great reviews for IL-2 I decided to buy it and I really am not impressed. It's really realistic, the graphics and gameplay, but it's just not that fun. Overall it's an ok game..

Summary: Sim Junkie
Review: Do yourself the biggest favor this holiday season and pick this sim up if you don't already have it. I've enjoyed every aspect of this awesome game for about a year now. This simulation raises the bar for all combat flight sims. Nothing else even comes close to this masterpiece. Warning to those who are married: Sturmovik will test the character and patience of your spouse as hours of game play will literaly have you attempting to "save the world". Enjoy at your own risk. Highly Recommended!

Summary: Great game, amazing graphics
Review: By the way, this game is not made by UbiSoft, it is a product of Russian software firm 1C. This explains why there is no swastika on the German planes - this nazi symbolic is illegal in Russia. That's understandable if you think of how many Russians died in the World War II.

Review: I really dislike negative reviews so will not knock sturmovik, but having really tried almost every flight sim on the mkt. and there are many, I simply cannot find one as realistic as ww2fighters=the graphics and special effects are awesome=If you can find this game you will be amazed at the conrol of the aircraft, special effects and the wonderful graphics=ten times better than any flight sim available=If you have not tried it you are missing the ultimate! You might locate it at amazon.com's third party sellers as a used item=Its simple a wonderful game!

Summary: Wow best flight sim on the market at this time
Review: It will take alot to knock this flight sim off the top of the mountain. UBI stands for great flight simulation!!.. Beats all other flight sims on the market. Best planes, weather and sound ive ever seen in a flight sim. Even comes with a mission builder. The possibilities are endless. Multiplayer is simply awesome! When flying in a thunderstorm lighting hits and the thunder pops scaring the hell out of you. Makes you feel like you there.

Summary: A Boring Experience
Review: I've tried this game a number of times, but the most exciting thing I've done so far is crash. I diligently follow all the headings and altitudes but never seem to be able to find the enemy. So I just fly, and fly and fly, look at the clouds, get tired of it and quit the game. What game? I am looking forward to Combat Flight Simulator 3.
