Summary: Superstar was not as good as it seemed
Review: Well when I heard about Sims Superstar I was really excited. I bought the game right after school the day it came out and for the first few days it was great. But them it got bad. It is really hard to become famous and if you sign the contract you have to go to studio town alot or you get fired. The mini games are boring after a while and hard. Basically the mini games are guessingand hopeing that your right. Also the butler does almost nothing at all. He makes meals, cleans, and dismises visitors. Superstar is also very slow and crashes alot. It was a good game for the first week but then...............3 stars.

Summary: Great Game but.....
Review: The Sims Superstar is definitely a great improvement to The Sims collection. Currently, I own 4 Sims, the original, Livin' Large, Vacation, and recently Sims Superstar. I feel there are some improvements somewhere but not everywhere. For example, the Studio Town is probably the best addition to the Sims. You can model, record music, but it doesn't come easy. Some of the people will reject you if you have no experience once so ever. If you know how to play or don't, The Sims is probably the easiest simulation and strategy game in the industry. It doesn't take alot to learn. It is a great game, but I don't understand why they couldn't put two expansion packs together. Plus The Sims 2, which is arriving in 2004 is going to be a big hit especially because it is in 3-D and is definitly like "REAL LIFE". Can't wait for that. But for now, the Sims is okay and has some improvements. I would reccomend this to any player, except take the Teen Rated thing seriously. Some themes aren't really appropiate for some kids. Have fun!!!

Summary: Will it work on my mac?
Review: I haven't played the game yet, but I want to know, will it work on my mac? I haven't seen a copy being worked on for macs and I really want the game.

Summary: It's good, but not all that...
Review: The game ands a whole new aspect to the game. If your sim would like to be an actor/actress, you can do that. But, then that is your JOB! You loose your old job, so be ready. Also, it takes awhile to load, like always. If you were sad from the unleashed game, then this should perk you up. This game adds the studio area, which is 50 simolions if you are not an actor and free for actors. The only problem I had with the game is if you want to be a model, you have to be a singer first. You have to go into all kinds of different fields in order to get where you want to be. That doesn't seem right to me. You can't be an actor until you have a star rating of a specific amount. The only way it can be raised is by: singing. Then you can model. Then you can act, or do a commercial. This is one that you HAVE to get!

Summary: the sims superstar is the best!
Review: I loved the sims Superstar. There's only one word to describe this game.......Wow!! It is the best! u need to hire an agent which is cool . once u get promoted u can get alot of different limo colors! It is the funest out of all. u can hire a butler for $500 a day. it is cool because you have to work to be a superstar, you go from singing karaoke to walking down the runway. i play it all the time!

Summary: Good game with small annoying attributes
Review: Last week I bought the game. WOW! I mean, this is the next installment, I can get FAMOUS! Well, the items are great. Studio town is fantastic, especially the karoake songs your sim can sing. But a couple of things annoy me.

1) Christina Aguilara, Avril Lavigne, ect. All you can do is ask for autographs. Big deal! And can't we get any other celebs WORTH being on this game? Maybe giant celebs like Paul McCartney or Al Pacino?

2) Gaining Celeb points: You need to get 2 famous friend star points to get above full career star 2 rating. To get the celeb friends you talk.... and talk.... and talk. You get MINOR interaction when gaining star friends. This is excruciatingly hard to do.

3) Everything else is great!

Summary: New Expansion Pack
Review: Although the Sims franchise is becoming dated the new Superstar expansion pack gives new life to The Sims. It adds amazing new features to the game and is a blast to play.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You're a superstar; that's what you are
Review: The Sims Superstar Expansion Pack is, in my opinion, the best expansion pack yet released for The Sims. As long as EA keeps releasing expansion packs as impressive as this one, adding even more incredible nuances and capabilities to an already addictive game, I will never complain about their growing numbers. Superstar really revolutionizes The Sims in a way no other expansion pack, not even Hot Date, has managed to do. The drudgery of having to send your sims off to a boring workplace you never get to see is now a thing of the past. If you choose to forego the mundane and take a chance on stardom, you control your sim's career in fashion, music, or acting, scurrying him/her along from one money-making opportunity to another. Best of all, the superstar's life is not an easy one. You have to work to get your sim noticed, practicing such skills as reading lines at home, embarking initially on such activities as karaoke singing, open mic entertaining, and small print ads; there are paparazzi to be cornered for posing or publicity stunts and a network of stars to be won over by your obvious charms (including, at least in the original "Limited Collector's Edition Box," Avril Lavigne and Marilyn Monroe); the only thing missing is the old casting couch method of succeeding. Even superstardom with its coveted awards sometimes comes with a price; fans may bombard you with requests for autographs whenever you enter Studio Town, and the obsessed fan who loves you today can become the stalker hounding your every move tomorrow should he/she come to think you aren't sufficiently acknowledging his/her devotion to you.

Studio Town, by far the most expansive new area ever introduced into The Sims has a world of new things to offer: e.g., spas featuring mud baths, massage tables, and oxygen bars, sushi carts, and star trailers. There are so many new things to do in Studio Town that EA provides a guide of sorts at the top of the screen with which you can quickly identify which lots offer which types of new activities. There are a number of different gigs available for your rising superstars as they advance through the ranks of their chosen field, including recording studios, soap opera sets, and high fashion venues. Your sims don't just get up on stage and mumble, either; Superstar finds them putting on some impressively expression-laden displays.

The list of new objects, some 150+, this expansion pack adds to The Sims is also quite impressive. A butler is now available for hire; let him take care of running the household, hiring staff, caring for the baby, etc.; you are now far too important to be bothered with common everyday household chores. Your new lifestyle brings with it awesome new toys and diversions such as satellite dishes, new stereo speakers, skydiving simulators, tanks for scuba diving, and loads of new furnishings to fit your new lifestyle of the rich and famous. One very important innovation provided by this expansion pack is a much improved and more orderly phone book. In addition, new build mode tools let you customize your property in a number of important new ways.

While I would not call Sims Superstar an absolutely necessary expansion pack to own, I do consider it essential for devoted Sims players. It is one thing to offer an impressive number of new objects, but to offer on top of that a vast new area in which to use these new objects (as well as preexisting ones) in an entirely new and exciting way is not far from being everything this Sims gamer could ask for.

Summary: Sims Superstar
Review: This game is greeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaat! I absolutely love it! I think its so cool how you can become famous and have people asking for your autograph and have an obsessed sim follow you wherever you go and root through your trashbin. The addition of the butler is also good. The possibilities are endless! I only rated this 5 stars because I couldn't rate it 1,000,000!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great Expansion Pack
Review: I love this new expansion pack, its a little hard to become a star and it takes a long time to load, so thats why 4 stars- but still a great expansion pack!
