Summary: Almost the best
Review: Blue Shift is one of the most exciting games i've ever played. The action is non-stop and the enviroment is chilling. some of the ambient sounds and creature sounds made for a lot of tension, especially while playing in a dark room at 12 o-clock at night. The new high definition pack almost doubles the poly count for all guns npc's and enemies. It was also a really sweet deal to include opposing force in the package. which is good since most serious shooter fans can finish this one in 3 to 4 hours. i almost liked this game better than the original because of the constant tension, the puzzles, and the great scripted events. i also liked the ending loads better than op for and half life. another great addition was the freeman sighting, which was a whole lot better than opposing forces poor excuse. If you consider yourself a first person shooter fan then this is a must have.

Review: LOOK HALFLIFE IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE VID GAME, OPPOSING FORCE IS WORTHY OF THE HALFLIFE NAME. BLUE SHIFT IS A ...,I WAS SHOCKED AT HOW SHORT THE GAME WAS.
AT FIRST I WONDERED WHY THEY PUT OPPOSING FORCE ON THE CD, NOW I KNOW IT'S TO LESSON THE SHOCK OF BEING FLEECED.

Review: Way too short for the price. I thought I was buying another of the half life series(lots of work and time), but this game was done in 3 hours.

Summary: Awesome
Review: Ok, number one, this game was not at all too short. garunteed, of all the people who said this, you must have been using cheats because the game itself took me at least 5-6 hrs to complete with no cheats at all. besides that, the game was amazing and just as challenging as Opossing force and half-life. for all of you half-life fans out there, I must say that this game is a must to get. Buy Half-life, then opossing force, and than blue-shift. I give this game a thumbs up.

Summary: an intense, but short lived experience
Review: Like OPPOSING FORCES, another expansion for the HALF-LIFE game, BLUE-SHIFT also takes place in the same space of time, during those fatal hours when everything went wrong, as it's two predecessors. This means that you're once again back at the mysterious, Area 51 inspired, Black Mesa Federal Research Facility, but you will be experiencing everything from a different angle. It's like seeing a particular scene from a movie over and over agan through the different perspectives of the peoples involved in the scene. Those who played through HALF-LIFE will certainly get a kick out of seeing the two army men who clubbed down Gordon Freeman (the character you played in HALF-LIFE) carry him through a hallway while you peek at them through a ventilation shaft. But BLUE-SHIFT isn't just a reprise of what you've gone through before. Far from it. It's an intense, well-designed, and most of all fun, experience, but sadly it's a bit short-lived. Naturally you can't expect the game to have the same size as HALF-LIFE, but you're likely to finish the game after two or three hours. But BLUE-SHIFT also comes with something they call "High Definition Pack". If you install this, all the graphics for both BLUE-SHIFT, OPPOSING FORCE, and HALF-LIFE will get a face lift, and it helps a little now that the graphics engine for HALF-LIFE is becoming a bit dated. But in the end I guess that BLUE-SHIFT will be mostly appreciated by hardcore HALF-LIFE fans.

Summary: Wat a Wicked Game - Half Life: Blue Shift
Review: This is a ...great game and everyone out there who likes a decent tactical game, but one that has loads-a-killing in it. You are a security guard called Barney and you have to go and kill all the aliens. You also go to alien planets which will test you! If you have played any of the Half Life games before, you will love this game. Even if you do not have any other Half Life s you can still install this game, but if you want the High Definition Pack (- this is with better & extra weapons) install Blueshift and then the high definition pack.
WAt i am trying to say is that it is well worth dishing out the ...($$) because it is such a good game.....

Thanks

Review: The shortest and most boring of the series, but still worth playing.

Summary: Good, But Short
Review: I enjoyed this game immensley for the whole 2 hours or so it took to beat it. It's about an 1/8 of the size of origional HL. The new high definition weapon and model pack that comes with it is great though. It makes the scientists, security guards, and aliens look much more realistic. And it replaces some of the old weapons for instance, the glock for a beretta, and mp-5 grenade + launcher to an m16 + grenade launcher. That little upgrade enhances the game so much that I would buy it just for that. But back to the game, it was fun, with good scrpted scenes and puzzles (i got stumped a few times on em But eventually worked them out.) As I said before, fun while it lasted.

Summary: An incremental improvement
Review: The Half Life story just won't die. Any chance I get to see more of Black Mesa, I'll do it. The following technology that made Half Life and OpFor so novel has reached new peaks. The interactivity between Barney and a certain scientist is nothing short of amazing. At one point, the character leads you!

It was rather short, but the HD pack and a standalone version of Opposing Force, coupled with the new point of view, makes it worthwhile.
