Summary: this game is simple
Review: this game is SOOOOO fun.. but SOOO easy and short.. i beat this game in 2 days... dont get me wrong... this game is fun. but it gives only 4 hours of gameplay (no strategy guides) the game gta3, gives about 100 hours of gameplay. thats the difference. Every level is wicked easy accept for the one where u sneak down from the tower, and the last level where u fight that ugly person. again, i say u should rent this game, (for ps or ps2), blockbuster gives u a week of rental with ur.... GAMEs FREEDOM PASS!!...rent this game for a week, and beat it in a day.

Summary: This is a great game!
Review: I liked this game! It wasn't so easy that it felt too easy for me (age 25). But, it didn't feel too difficult for the younger kids either. I will say one thing. I've played this game on my PC and I've played the Playstation version on the Playstation 2. THEY ARE 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES! They have the same overall concepts and goals. They have many characters and challanges in common. But, they have some creatures and challanges on Playstation that you won't know about if you've only played the PC version, and vice versa. I recommend both versions!

Summary: Exceptionally Well Done
Review: I play a lot of computer games - serious ones - and picked this up for my 7 year old with low expectations. However, I was incredibly impressed. The graphics are great. The voices are fantastic. The gameplay is enjoyable and varied enough. I had to help my son through some of the trickier flying sequences (but the team effort was worth it). Plus the game was certainly long enough - especially considering the price.

Very faithful to the 1st book. We're eagerly hoping for future games based on the other books.

Summary: GREAT game
Review: Although the game does not follow the book (or the movie) as well as it could, that allows for you to have a unique experience. Even though you know how the end will be (if you've seen the movie or read the book), the story of getting there is unique.

The game is not extremely complicated, allowing amateur gamers as well as experienced ones to equally enjoy the game. During the game, you learn a variety of spells like Flipendo, Lumos, Alohomora, and my personal favorite Wingardium Leviosa! You then use the spells you learn in class to help complete tasks in each level.

In each level, not only do you complete the objective, but you can find Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans for Fred & George. If you collect the right amount of beans, they will give you a wizard card (25 hidden throughout the whole game). Of course, there are other wizard cards hidden throughout the game you have to find. Collect enough beans for Fred & George and you get a special surprise. Collect ALL the wizard cards you get another surprise.

The games graphics are great (kind of boxy in some areas), but this only deters from the game a little bit. All in all, everyone should have a great time playing this wonderful game.

Summary: Fun, but has a few annoying flaws...
Review: This is a beautiful 3D game, and it can be a lot of fun. There are a few things about it that annoyed me, though.

1. It is VERY easy. For me anyway, and I'm really not all that good at this kind of thing. I got to the last level in a matter of days.

2. You can't skip the little cutscenes! Every time you die you have to listen to them all over again. Or if there is a way to skip them, I haven't figured it out yet. In fact, on the very last level, I died, but then didn't try again, because I didn't want to listen to the five minute cutscene.

Summary: Challenging and Addicting
Review: This game is addicting! It is the only computer game I've ever seen, so it took me quite a while to figure out what to do, but now it is fun (It is very hard in the speedy areas like chasing Malfoy on broomstick and throwing crackers.) I enjoyed taking my time exploring every direction and talking to each character many times. The 3-D graphics are simply amazing and the characters are just like the movie.

If you're stuck on one part and can't get passed it, type harrydebugmodeon and click on Level Select. You can then choose any part of the game to play, even parts you've already done. This takes the frustration out of it for us non-gamers.Whatever your age, if you're a Harry Potter fan, you'll find this game fascinating!

Summary: Only works under special conditions
Review: This Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone game by Electronic Arts will only work under special conditions. I could not get it to run at all on my computer without it freezing the machine every time I tried to start it. The install guide gives very detailed instructions about things you need to do to get the program to run. This includes using CTRL-ALT-DEL repeatedly to close everything besides Explorer and Systray. Then if you follow all their instructions and still have a problem, you can try using their Technical Support by email. This involves going back and forth by email with someone who will give you long lists of involved configuration changes to make in your computer (including things like deleting device drivers and changing the registry), generally without really explaining how to make these changes. No software should require such changes to your computer; code should be written in a way that is adaptable to whatever the specific configurations of the operating systems that the software is said to be designed for.

Summary: THE BEST COMPUTER GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED
Review: I love Harry Potter, and with this game you get to live it. It's pretty easy (it's the only game I've ever beaten) but it is tons of fun. I hope who ever buys Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone has just as much fun as I did.

Summary: Fun for Harry's fans
Review: This game entertained me quite a bit, I'm happy to say. It was slightly difficult at first, before I figured out exactly what it was that I was supposed to be doing, but after that, the challenges were moderately easy, but still fun to beat. Then again, I'm fifteen, so I'm probably more of an accomplished computer geek than the game's target audience. The voicing of the characters was quite nice. The graphics weren't incredible, but they weren't horrible either. This is a game for kids, after all--graphics aren't that important. My only regret about the gameplay is that I wasn't aware that I could explore Hogwarts until I finished the game. I was told to hurry to class, so I ran as fast as Harry's little legs could carry me, frequently getting lost on my way to flying lessons. Oh well. Anyway, this is definitely not a computer game for the very young; it can be played by people my age (and older) and still provide entertainment, although it doesn't last very long before the game is over. There are some easy levels, but some very difficult ones (I was lost in Snape's dungeon for 45 minutes), that few kids could play through. The ideal age group would be 8-12 year olds, in my opinion. I almost forgot: the Quidditch matches are GREAT!!! It is difficult to play Harry's position (Seeker), but it is still the best part of the game. Until all the zooming around makes you sick, that is...
