Summary: Yeah! No more violence!
Review: It is about time the gaming industry put out a game that was packed with all of the spell-binding magical adventure that you get in games like Diablo II without all the blood and guts to go along with it. I have a nephew who is 9 and is obsessed with Diablo II and other games in that genre. He is bored with most games rated for his age. He finally has a game to play that is fun and exciting for him without the blood and guts. We have loved playing Harry Potter. It has kept us on the edge of our seats. The graphics and sounds are wonderful. This game is a must for any child who loves Harry Potter and loves gaming. It's a refreshing change from the typical roll-playing type games. The only thing that would have made the game more fun would have been to make it a multi-player with Harry and his friends. Thanks EA!

Summary: Harry's Fun Adventure
Review: This book is about a boy named Harry. Harry is living with his aunt and uncle, because his mom and dad died. One day a letter came saying that Harry was welcome to a magic school called Hogwarts. Harry's mom and dad were wizards. That is why Harry was welcome to the school. Will he go to Hogwarts? I dislike this book, because I do not believe in witchcraft and magic. If you like magic read it. Otherwise I like it.

Summary: Magic Places
Review: This book is about a boy named Harry. His mother and father died. He lived with his aunt and uncle. A letter comes in the mail. His uncle reads it and then throws it away. The next day, lots more of the same exact letters come. They were all the same. Finally, somebody comes to get Harry and brings him to a place he has never been. Where will Harry go? I like this book, because it has a lot of excitment in it. I dislike the book, because the book has people breaking the rules. I don't like anybody breaking rules.

Summary: Some good, Some impossible,
Review: Like I say, some of it is good. Like I say second, some impossible-The 1st Herbology Challenge for example. And the battle with Malfoy to get Nevile's Remberall back- your're flying around, bumping into stuff, having Bludgers thrown at you-Can YOU throw bludgers? The answer is: NO! And, he's laughing during the whole time of it. Plus, oh I love this part, In the confrontation between Malfoy and Harry on broomsticks, it's still in that letterbox screen when Malfoy takes off with that Slytherin sneer-grin on his face! He's almost out of site before you can take off after the snotbrat! And why, because the dimwits who designed this game made it so that Harry is frozen when it is in letterbox- at least when dealing with Malfoy!! That, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls is what I am disgusted at. Thank you, from Madison, Wisconsin!!

Summary: Better than the MOVIE
Review: The movie lasted less than 2 hours, but I've played this game for over four hours before my computer crashed.

Summary: A good, but very short kid's game.
Review: If you have a kid who is between the ages of 8 and 14, this is a good game for them. Especially if they're a Harry Potter fan. For those of you who have played the game, there is actually a considerable amount of exploring to do if you wander off the beaten path and look for all the secret areas.

If you're not a Harry Potter fan, you're likely to find the game confusing as it makes large leaps in the plot with out really telling the player much. This means that the action doesn't stop for long, which is a good thing for those who already know the story. But this leaves less to go on for non-fans.

If you think of yourself as a hardcore gamer and want a fast paced, exciting game, turn away now. This game is not for you and you will not enjoy it.

Adults who aren't much in the way of gamers may also enjoy this game, especially if they're fans of the books. I know from experience that non-gamers get sucked in to this game surprisingly easily and (no offence) tend to play about as well as an 8 year old who does play games.

Lastly, the game is very, very short. If you have a short attention span, this game is perfect for you. If you're expecting a game that'll keep you riveted to your monitor for days, this is not the place to look unless you have a very short memory. This was very much designed to be an arcade-like game as far as play time, mostly due to the fact that the game was put together in a scant 4 months. Fortunately, this is a kids game, and it makes completely the game a little more accessible to the younger folk.

Basically, this is a simple game designed for youngsters and non-gamers who are fans of the book with some lovely visuals and a nice musical score to back it up.

Cheerio

Summary: here's the deal
Review: first a series of books that draws kids AWAY from the computer and TV, and is praised greatly for doing so...and now they're making software and movies.

Summary: Great graphics, challenges, and fun, just a bit abrupt.
Review: The first thought I had when I started this game was, "Wow! These graphics look just like the movie!". The castle is very beautiful, and everything is just as it should be. The Quidditch is very real, and I enjoyed how Lee Jordon's commentating matched what I was doing.
I also really enjoyed the lessons, in which you put the spells you had learned into action to receive house points. There were only two drawbacks that I found in the game: One, I did not have enough time to explore or spend time with Ron and Hermione, and two, the game was over before I knew it. So, if your looking for a cool game with just a little challenge, then this is it.
