Summary: Harry Potter- the best game ever?
Review: After receiving the game for Christmas, I just couldn't stop playing on it. i find that the game is not too easy and not too hard! It is both exciting and challenging! I think that the game is soooo cool that I would even go as far as saying it is the best game I have ever played on!

Review: This is a really fun game if you like Harry Potter.It is kind of hard,though. Game tip: Put the game on auto jump,it makes the game a lot easier. You get to play Harry Potter and travel through Hogwarts doing different types of challenges for your classes and friends. There are lots of secret passageways and surprises. Get this game if you like Harry Potter.

Yes this game is awsome but only if your computer can handle it. I found even with mine (it's about as high on RAM and processing as you can go) It still hung up and stuttered on the flying at times which were annoying, but little price to pay for the cool graphics. If your computer is a few years old, investigate throughly to see if it will run on your computer. I also got the GBA version for my daughter and she will get part way through obsticle and ask mom to figure it out. I find the repition on physical challenges, e.g. the troll and flying, slightly annoying rather than fun but it was nice to see the graphics come to life. The GBA version isn't a whole lot of fun unless you are sitting in front of window with direct sunlight on screen. It's much too dark for the console and no game light I have tried has made it much easier to play. The two versions are different with seperate challenges which I expected for the price of the GBA version. I am hoping to get the GBC version to try out because I hear it is different than any of the others. There is more of mysteries to solve instead of the constant physical challenges. I hope this review helps anyone who is thinking of getting any of the versions. I personally looked forward to trying quiddich but I have to tell ya I stink at flying. The arrow controls for the PC version just stink it's hard to control harry that way. The GBA version however is alot nicer for this. You have the controls at finger tips so to speak. Have fun!!!

Review: I bought this game for my 9 year old son. I am an avid gamer and expected nothing short of perfection when buying this game. I will say that the graphics are well done and the game play was really fun, albeit short lived. I finished the game in about 6 hours. I know I am an adult, but my son will be done in about another 12 hours. The thing that really bothered me was the inability to go back to the places I had previously visited. There was only one direction in this game and that was forward. So to find every secret and get 100% of the game you need to start a new game from the beginning or take your time going through, which then can be a drag as you are always excited to get to the next thing... I give it 2 stars. I would not pay more than $... for this game.

Review: Besides having a really bad graphics engine, completely linear, and absolutely boring. Overall this game is a 1 Star. This reminds me of very fast to market attempt at a RPG. The plot is very thin, and the playability is boring at best. Do not buy this game, unless you have a 4 or 5 year old that wants to play it. Anybody over 5 will be bored. I am surprised that TK Rowling even allowed this feeble attempt to get to the market place. My god, their mouths don't even move when they talk - Gimme a break!

Summary: Great Fun!
Review: I bought this game for my 13 year old son and play it myself! The graphics are lovely, making Hogwarts School seem to really come alive! The questing is fun and doesn't get boring before it changes to something new. My one complaint after finishing the game is having to sit through introductions each time you start a saved game. But overall, my son and I have been thoroughly enjoying playing Harry Potter.

Summary: Suprisingly good
Review: I bought this for my daughter who is 14. I'll try to review it from her perspective, I'm more used to NOLF, Quake, Half-Life etc. The game was played on a 1GHz P3 with Rage ATI 128 video, 256Meg ram, Windows 2000 Pro. The graphics and player motions resemble Quake II in detail and responsiveness. The graphics are generally quite good, in some places excellent. The sound effects are consistently good. The character responds well although I would have liked a side-step key. Perspective is good, jumping and climbing are not a problem. In keeping with the target audience, this game is not about blowing things up, but rather solving puzzles and avoiding bad guys. No-one is ever killed and the worst that happens to you is you faint. I don't know how faithfully the game follows the film or the book, but the buildings, pupils, teachers, and even the idea of splitting the school into competitive houses is right out of the old British school system. I seem to remember more teachers like Snape, though. Some things I did not like...

* No offensive spells make the final showdown tedious
* Need some chocolate frogs in the last room
* Many activities such as stars and cards seem to have no purpose

Summary: H.P. and the Sorcerer's Stone PC Game
Review: I really like this game, and so does my 5 year old! He's a master of the Disney action games, so this one is pretty easy for him. However, it keeps him on his toes, with just enough "scare" to keep him interested. I know the game reviews panned this game, but we've found it highly entertaining around here. There are only a couple of minor "flaws" that I see: 1) the broom flying is awkward, and, 2) when restarting after a "faint" you must see some cut-scenes over and over again without being able to skip over them. Not terrible things to overcome, by any stretch. Very good, clean game for younger gamers 5-10, a little bit of scare (ghosts, troll, scary teachers, etc.) but overall enjoyment.

Summary: Great fun for new or casual gamers and HP fans
Review: My computer games consist mostly of 5 minute arcade-style games. I'm not a HP fan (just saw the movie), but this PC version game had me wowwed from the opening sequence. The music was great, the graphics incredible, and game play fun while not being impossible or mindlessly violent (no exploding guts thank you). Quidditch, by far, is the hardest skill to master. I found reassigning the speed keys to things closer to the arrow keys made it easier to control. When getting this for Christmas, I played with it for hours over the next days. I finally defeated the evil Lord Voldemort after a night of play and was treated to a mini-movie. Lots of fun. There were also plenty of beautiful graphic mini-movies like the trip to the North Tower to send the baby dragon to Romania. My only wish is to see more of Gryffindor House and the Main Hall. A map of Hogwart's would be nice. As would a freedom to wander about the castle once you win the game. But since playing this game (which had me wanting to read the next books in the series), I can see plenty of potential for more HP games. (To those needing help with the flying broomstick stuff, just try to keep the desired object within view. When your catch bar fills, the screen will flash telling to to press Jump - your Control Key or right mouse button. The biggest challenges are Malfoy, Quidditch and catching the flying key on your last challenge. You'll need to speed up on the last three flying challenges. Let go of the speed key to slow down some.)
