Summary: Bleh...
Review: This game looked really fun when I just bought it. So I tried it out but was a bit disappointed...The graphics are a bit iffy and the game overall is a bit complicated. The sideshows and resteraunts are fun to mess around with, and they look different in each theme park. Which is kinda neat, cuz you can put a bunch of salt on your fries... :) It's fun for a while, but it gets a tad boring, especially if you have played Roller Coaster Tycoon before playing this game.

Summary: Alright, not the best Maxis game out there...
Review: I guess you could say that this game was pretty much a dissappointment. I probably would have liked it more if I hadn't already bought Rollercoaster Tycoon (even though I'm not really a fan of that game, it's a LOT better than Sim Theme Park). I felt ripped off when I found out that there were only four theme parks to choose from, which made this a very short lasting game. Another major problem is - you can even build your own rides! Talk about cheap.

Overall I give Sim Theme Park 2 stars, I gave the extra star because I probably would have liked it more if I got it before I got Rollercoaster Tycoon. Actually, this game is pretty good for all ages, it's just leaning a little more towards the younger kids, about I guess 6-12. If you want a game for older gamers, try Rollercoaster Tycoon. (I suggest that you just ditch the thought of buying a game about building amusement parks and get a game like The Sims or somehting).

Summary: The game is fun, but it's just not challenging enough
Review: If you are a roller coaster or amusement park enthusiast, then you will find this game entertaining, at least for a while. The problem with the game is that you can pretty easily build all of the rides and attractions, and then you don't really have that much to do. This game simply lacks the mental challenges that are needed to make a game like this a masterpiece.

Overall, it has excellent animation, graphics, and virtual reality features, like when you ride your own roller coasters.

I would recommend this game for a novice "Sim" player or for children/teenagers. Above that, it isn't challenging enough to make it worth your while.

Summary: Big Disappointment
Review: Well, I wish I had read some of the other customer reviews before purchasing this game. Don't let the "Sim" portion of the name fool you. I've had nothing but good experiences with other Sim games, but this one is a different story. I didn't have any problems with bugs like other reviewers, but I would describe the game as clunky. It's just difficult to use at first and even after you get used to it, just not a lot of fun.

Summary: Not Worth Getting
Review: I got this game when it first came out. I am a BIG fan of Roller Coaster Type games, but this game doesn't even come close to a "cool" roller coaster game. It was very confusing on how to build a park, but there was a tutorial. The tutorial man that shows you through the park is very annoying. After i turned him, I figured I would try to expirement with the game. The prices for rides are hard to determine, because the money is not like ours. Rides are usually priced 10,000. I thought that was way to high, thinking that it meant 10,000 dollars. I lowered prices, and got a notice saying my prices were too low and should raise prices. Prices was a big factor in the game which made it confusing. The 3D graphics are great, but the view you get makes it kinda hard to see what you are doing. I did not like the game because it was too hard to play, not fun. Get this game only if you want to expirement, but don't expect this game to become your favorite. Get Roller Coaster Tycon Instead...MUCH Better

Summary: Buggy!
Review: I have a relatively new computer that meets all the system requirements, with room to spare. But the program locks up every time I use it--anywhere from two to twenty minutes into it. Once it locks up, my PC won't even respond to a three-finger salute. Don't waste your money on this.

Summary: Not Worth it, Get Roller Coaster Tycoon
Review: I thought this game looked like it would be great-- but it turned out that it was boring, irritating, not to mention that it has bugs- my computer is almost brand new, and this game would crash every five minutes. A few months later I bought Roller Coaster Tycoon, and I became addicted to it- I LOVE it! If you are interested in this game, I recommend that you buy Rollercoaster Tycoon instead, it's a lot more fun, and it doesn't have bugs- don't waste your money on Sim ThemePark!

Summary: Good Offset By Bad
Review: Starting off, this game only has one feature that overcomes theme park titan "roller coaster tycoon" - the ability to ride your rides and stroll your park. Everything else, RCT dominates. In RCT you have more options, hundreds of rides and accessories, customize your own terrain, and it has many more than 4 themes (you can put as many themes as you want in your park. You can also buy land to expand your park.) don't settle for theme park, buy RCT and both expansions! it's worth the money!

Summary: A game that needed more work!
Review: When I first got Sim Theme Park, I thought it would be a great game. A week later, it got very boring. Unlike Roller Coaster Tycoon, everything is very expensive! A trash can, for example, costs $100! In Roller Coaster Tycoon, a trash can costs $3! Also, there's this advisor that shouldn't have been so picky! He'll say your janitors' patrol areas aren't just perfect, or one person just littered! Big deal! Again, unlike RCT, it has only four themes; one per park. I also don't like the idea of Golden Tickets and Golden Keys, which you need to access other parks. It's really hard to get things just perfect, and since everything is expensive and you can't charge for rides, your cash balance is low all of the time until five years later (in game time). You don't have a very large selection of rides, especially at the start. Overall, this game really bites the dust, and if you don't have Roller Coaster Tycoon yet, get that instead.
