Summary: Greatest Star Wars Game Ever, but some faults
Review: Simply put, this is the best star wars game made to date and a very good fps all around. The graphics (especially with a good graphics and/or video card) are exellent, and the gameplay is a lot of fun. The levels are a nice size of a Quake III engine, and the NPC's (Non-Player Characters) are done in good detail (although sometimes they look like their eyes are about to pop out of their heads). But the best part is the lightsaber combat, which is a ton of fun. The third-person view really makes you feel like you are in a SW movie, and the elagant fighting style is great. In fact, it may be a good reason to buy the game, just for the saber combat, it is that good. When you turn on model dismemberment, it is very realistic, as the stormtrooper will even grasp the hand that you just cut off. Really cool.

My only problems with the game are the loooong load times and the other weapons. Some (such as the DEMP 2 or the Bryar Pistol) of the weapons are just plain bad and are useless. There are a lot of charge up shot weapons in the game which are fine, but not good for firefights, when timing is critical. The ones that do fire fast are weak, inaccurate, and run out of ammo real fast. The best weapon is actually the E-11, that ..... looking black rifle stormtroopers use. But despite these problems, this is still a great game and I reccomend it to any SW fan and reccomend it more to anyone who really likes a quality first person shooter.

Summary: The best Star Wars game I've played!
Review: This game just ROCKS!! If you've played Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of The Sith (which I haven't played, but I will), then you'll know what it's like to be Kyle Katarn! But, it's more fun with cheats. I use cheats all the time! Honestly though, this game will rock your world just as it did mine!

Summary: ALMOST Perfect!!!
Review: First off, let's start out on a good leg and say this is a great game. It really is! It will keep you entertained long enough, offering 24 levels, each of which bring to life expansive and very realistic Star Wars locales. You'll find yourself as a daring mercenary infiltrating Imperial posts, an honorable Jedi using your force powers to take your revenge on a ruthless Dark Lord, and even get to pilot your very own commandeered AT-ST!!! But enough of introductions...on to what counts.
The story, I personally consider excellent. It basically tells of Kyle Kataarn, a mercenary who was once a Jedi, who now has given up his force powers. You'll be on a mercenary job when you're girl, Jan Ors, is murdered by a villanous Desann. You'll then seek the Valley of the Jedi and come in contact with Luke Skywalker to regain your force powers and cast your vengance on Desann, along the way unraveling a sinister plot of destroying the Jedi order for good........This compelling story is told through frequent in-game cutscenes and occasional very well-done FMVs.
As Kyle Kataarn, you'll have access to a devastating arsenal of weapons. You'll end up with around 10 different guns, your trusty lightsaber, a hefty inventory (night vision goggles, portable attack sentries, etc) and an assortment of force powers: lightsaber throw, force push, force pull, force speed, jedi mind trick, force grip, force jump, and force lighting. Each is gradually upgraded as you move along the game, the highest rank for each power being 3 (unless you use cheats...more on that later). As you can see, your weapons are more than suffice, and the fun you'll have chopping up baddies and pushing them off into endless pits is undescribable!!!
The game's controls are easy to get used to provided you give them some time. Due to the huge array of force powers and items you'll be using, you might want to change the controls to something to your own personal setup, or simply get used to the default ones, which really aren't that bad. The gameplay of of Jedi Outcast is awesome: encountering and attacking enemies is very rewarding. The part that is not so fun (and the reason for the loss of one star) are the puzzles you must solve to proceed through a level. They are often complicated, long, and misleading. This aspect of the game is very frustrating, but with the walkthroughs online you shouldn't have to fret too much with finding your way around (and if you accept the challenge, you might benefit even more from this game).
The replay value of the game comes from the multiplayer, mods, and cheats. The multiplayer is very fun, especially if you master using your lightsaber. It is even entertaining to just watch others duke it out in the different arenas and multiplayer modes offered. There are plenty of websites dedicated to bringing you mods and info about the game ... and the cheats for this game are extremely fun. A few noteworthy ones are being able to chop up enemies completely (reg game only lets you take off their hands) and also the ability to spawn all the non-playable characters in the game (you can spawn Luke to help you through the game, or even challenge him to a duel!!!). Another fun cheat is setting your Jedi Mind trick to a rank over 3 and being able to not just daze enemies, but take control over them!!!
Therefore, to sum everything up, you'll have a great time with the game, even after you've completed every difficulty, and you'll have many fun stories to tell once you start playing around with the cheats and mods. With the wide variety of moves you can accomplish with your Jedi powers, you can practically create comedic sequences throughout the game, such as force gripping a stormtrooper and placing him in front of an automated turret to watch him turn into Swiss cheese, or even send a group of stormtroopers into hyperspace by pushing open a hangar bay door. The only drawback was the frustrating puzzles, but that as I said can be solved with a handy walkthrough. May the Force be with you!!!

Summary: Excellent gameplay
Review: I really enjoyed this game. It is rather difficult on even the easier settings, but it was worth it. There are definitely some areas where runnning in with the calvary will get you smoked, you have to use your head. The force powers and a realistic lightsaber is what makes the combat very intense in this game. I though the plot of the game was pretty good as well. There are also enough levels to make it worth the money too.

I finished this game without any source book or by using the cheats. I went back through a second time and used the cheats and even then it was still tough. One thing that is considered a cheat, but really isn't is turning on the realistic lightsaber combat. With this one you basically chop them to peices if you lay into them. When thrown it usually lops off their hands or head.

Summary: A great game, even for the computer-game-challenged.
Review: Alright. I'm a 17 year old girl and normally you would ask "What is SHE doing playing some geeky Star Wars game?" The only other PC gaming experience I've had is with Maxis' "The Sims." With the help of some walkthroughs, this is a great game. Let me explain.

1. The GRAPHICS - It's incredible. Real 3D like situations and the stormtroopers look authentic. After the Yavin Trials when you get your Saber, the single player saber battles are cool looking.

2. more on the LIGHTSABER - Personally I think it's better in Single Player than Multi. In single it deflects more bullets and defends your character better. What really kicks is when you get into a saber lock, cause it sort of does a slow motion focus around you.

3. DIFFICULTY - As I said, I am no gamer. I almost always use God mode to get through the near-impossible areas where you are bombarded with imperial fire power. Honestly it's the more fun way to play.

One last note: THE MAPS ARE SWEET! You're face to face with imperial cruisers, carbon freezing chambers, in the ventilation shafts of Bespin, and meandering around the Death Star in multiplayer games.

Summary: Most impressive game i've seen in a while...
Review: Amazing is a good word for it. Jedi Knight 2:Jedi Outcast is an AMAZING game. The graphics, sounds, gameplay, etc. blew me away. As of now i have only played the demo so i don't have a clue as to how the first levels are, but if they are even half as good as the demo is, then this game will be well worth the 40+ dollars it is selling for, hands down!

I first saw this game on lucas arts homepage as i was surfing the net. It had a demo up for download so i thought i'd give it a try. (i'm really into the great eye candy games with all the showy little details) So i downloaded the demo and installed it on my machine and gave it a try on the padawan difficulty setting. Like i said, i was blown away by the graphics, even on the default configuration. As i was admiring the graphics, two stormtroopers mauled me with blasterfire. It took me a few deaths to get used to the interface and to become fluent in the ways of the lightsaber, but as i got better, so did the game. I kept finding more and more little easter eggs so-to-speek.

while playing the demo, i snuck into a powergenerator room to deactivate a forcefield and there were two storm troopers talking about their blasters and how accurate they were with them. I noticed that they were standing just a few feet from the edge of a bottomless pit. "Boy thats convienant(sp)" i thought as i took out my FORCE PULL *smirk*
Down they went.

I urge everyone even remotely interested in this game to at least download the demo. It'll be well worth the effort. You should not be disappointed unless you have a very out of date system (about 3 years or so, my machine is 1 or 2 years old and outcast works fine with it [the demo anyway])

Oh and one more thing i need to say, The lightsaber duels are unreal. In the demo you get to fight a dark jedi (or two if you're on jedi master). And the visuals of the saber duel on this game are, once again, AMAZING! I'd swing at the jedi with a nice hard baseball swing and he'd block it, then he'd FORCE PUSH me away as i lunged at him again. I'd take another big swing at him and this time i'd keep pushing against his saber, just like in the movies! we were in a saber lock and it was amazing, he finally over powered my jedi and broke the lock, i instantly PUSHED him away and he fell. Then i THREW my saber and cut off his arm! i tell you Outcast cannot disappoint. How can you dislike a game that fulfills all of your fantasys of being a great jedi cutting off a dark jedi's arm!

I personally have already ordered my copy, should be arriving soon this week. Do the same if you're at all interested in lightsaber duels or the ability of throwing stormtroopers around the room with FORCE GRIP. I recommend Jedi Outcast to anyone that has ever been intreged with the starwars saga.

Summary: You haven't lived 'till you play this awesome game.

Summary: An adventure worthy of the Star Wars name
Review: Twenty-four years ago, George Lucas created an empire (no pun intended) that still stands today. One of the mediums that have taken advantage of this empire is the software industry. LucasArts is the main beneficiary producing both good (Jedi Knight/Dark Forces series) and the bad (Masters of the Teras Kia?).

Luckily Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is on the good side of things. Outcast, developed by Raven and utilizing the Quake III engine, stands out as an interactive and unique first and third person Star Wars adventure. You play as Kyle Katern, who in earlier games in the series was between the light and dark side of the force. Now with excellent visuals, level design, and acrobatics, Kyle does so much more...but better also.

Despite a great story, animations, and little details, some things irk me about this game. First enemy AI isn't too good. Either that or stormtroopers can't hear in those helmets. You could be a couple feet behind them with your lightsaber roaring and they don't even know your there. Then, sometimes they start firing at you and run away. Going for help? No, they pick a random spot and kneel down to shoot again. Second are the first few tedious levels. I was pumped when I first started playing, firing switches and mowing down Imperials. But then later I became bored and everything felt tedious. Nonetheless, later levels make up for this.

Let's run this down:

PROS:
-Sound
-Game engine
-Story
-Star Wars "feel"
-level design

-Visuals
-Details

CONS:
-Enemy AI
-A few tedious levels
-Semi-slow loading time

If you are a Star Wars fan, such as myself, you should have this game allready. If not, consider it and you won't be sad.

Summary: Great Game
Review: The Single Player is solid, amazing story, great cinematics its got it all. When i first put it in, i thought i was watching another star wars movie, it was great.

The multiplayer system is also good, it could use a little work, but still good. I like the fact that you can change skins and use the force and the camera angle can be altered to however u like it. But the game lags way too much on these servers, as the players like myself on broadband find oursleves frustrated at times because of the lag that we are not supposed to be expieriencing.

However, if you are even the slightest of Star Wars fans, I advise you to pick this baby up, you won't be dissapointed.
