Summary: Druid's rule!!
Review: Yes, the cost of the XP is high, but so much is added into it, who cares?? Zillions of new treasures, spells, weapons..and you get to keep your free ally, if you can keep him/her alive.(When s/he does die, you can have him/her resurrected.) I have had a lot of fun building up my ally's character, and she has saved my careless behind a few times. I have played as the Druid, and, although I haven't reached the end yet,I am really enjoying kicking demon butt as a werebear. I still hate the detestable save system that was introduced with D2,but, with the ally fighting along side you, the chances of being killed are lessened considerably. One more thing: the new optional graphic setting is awesome.I hadn't realized how cool it was until switched over to the "old" setting. Lastly: I am a 53 year old(female) gamer, and enjoy shoot 'em ups and dungeon crawls..and this XP has really hooked me.I recommend it without reservation.

Summary: More click click click click click
Review: This expansion adds two new classes and one new chapter. Of the two classes, the Assassin is ridiculously overpowered but consequently a lot of fun to play as long as you're not looking for a challenge. The Druid is good but almost seems as if three different incomplete xcharacter ideas were taken and smooshed together to make one complete one. The new chapter has some interesting new quests but in the end it just boils down to a new background to click your mouse on over and over and over and over.

Summary: There goes your life ... again.
Review: You knew this day would come. You've seen all of the spells of the various character classes in action, your favorite character has achieved level 99, can summon a small army of minions, and whips Diablo in seconds at 'Hell' difficulty. You are skipping the video clips between the acts, and also most of the NPC narratives because you know them by heart now anyway. You have finally noticed the dried up carcass that used to be your pet, as well as the good-bye letter your girlfriend left you on the breakfast table months ago. In other words, the hitherto unimaginable has come to pass: Diablo II has finally started to feel a wee bit stale (There. I said it--and immediately feel like an ingrate).

Fortunately, the good folks at Blizzard have been laboring for this day with great foresight, and the insanity can begin all over. Just pick up a copy of 'Lord of Destruction.' You may think that the price tag is a tad steep for an add-on, and even though the new chapter features stunning new locales, interesting and fresh NPCs, and challenging new monsters, you would be right, if it weren't for the fact that LOD is also an add-in. Once you install it the entire original game is updated with new features (you'll probably want to read about the details elsewhere, like on the Blizzard site, but let me just quickly mention more gems, more unique items, new item classes, some of which are class-specific, jewels and runes you can insert into socketed items for special powers, and on the whole more sockets in a lot of items), all of which are interesting enough to go back and explore the original acts once more with one of your old characters. A particularly nice touch is that you now have the option of running the entire game in 600x800 resolution--provided your machine is reasonably powerful--which not only makes the game look substantially prettier, but allows you to see more of the battlefield at once, which can be a tactical advantage for ranged attacks.

You also get two entirely new characters, the Assassin (a martial arts specialist somewhere between Jet Li and Darth Maul) and the Druid (think Grizzly Adams with unique summoning skills and way cool shape-shifting abilities--he morphs into a werewolf or werebear with special bonuses in each form). Only characters that have already defeated Diablo at least once in the original acts can access Act V (go back to the Pandemonium Fortress and speak to Tyrael once more), so you will have to start from the very beginning with your Druid or Assassin, but their skill sets are a lot of fun and you really want to develop them, so it feels like a whole fresh game.

So, considering all the cool stuff that LOD delivers in addition to just one more act to tack on the original game, it's well worth the price. Just don't get another hamster, job, or love interest before you're done playing this expansion set.

Summary: Great
Review: Diablo2 is one of the greatest games on the market at this time ,at least in my opinion. This expansion pack took an already great game and made it into something even better. This is a continuation of the original, closing the story after a long series of adventures. An almost must have for any Diablo2 fan. it's a little pricy at 34.99 but it is definitaly worth every penny. I highly suggest anyone with a little extra money that they are willing to spend invest it into this game. You won't regret it

Summary: It's Worth Every Penny
Review: I got the Diablo 2 Expansion Pack (D2 X Pac) is worth every penny. Some people say it aint worth it and stuff but it is! I started a Necromancer and with the new preserved heads (shields for the Necromancers only) that add amazing things to Necromancer skills. The preserved head type shield I have now adds two to Skeletal Mage! And the Amazons. Most Amazons now a days are Bowazons (Amazons that use bows instead of Javalins. Amazons using Javalins are called Javazons) and there is a great new bow for Amazons only called Stag bows (that's one type of this new bow). Every magical Stag bow I've run into so far has added at least one to Amazon bow and crossbow skills. And then there are new Javalins for those few Javazons out there. The Sorceress has new orbs taht are terrific! They can be incredibly good. Many will add one or two to all Sorceress skill levels and the best thing is they're one handed instead of the two-hand staffs so you can ahve a shield along with your orb which can be as good, if not better, than most two-hand staffs. There are helms for the Barbarian and the Druid (one of the new classes which I personally don't like much but with their shapeshifting skills they can be very powerful). Both can be very good. The Assasin (the other new class which I think really kick butt) has claws which can be really good. The Paladins also have a new weapon which is quite good; new shields. All the shields I see in Hell difficulty that are Paladin only add to resistances. There are also tons of new modifications for weapons, new Horadric Cube recipies and new weapons. I'll only tell you about one; the Circlets and the higher level Coronets. They are helms and even the magic ones can be extremely good. I have a magic Circlet with my Sorceress online that adds two to all Sorceress skill levels.

Now about Act 5. Act 5 is the BEST act. EVERY quest gives ya something good. One quest allows you to socket items and you can even put one socket into magic, unique, rare, set or Crafted (items made with the Horadric Cube) items. Another, like the second quest in Act I, allows you to hire very good mercanaries. You can even put your name into an item! Every quest is worth it. The whole X Pac made D2 even more fun. I've played SOOO goddamn much since I got it... It's totally worth it! And for all of you who are tired of Chaos runs (where you kill everything in the Chaos Sanctuary) there is now something to get you even more experience. The FIRST place in Act V in Hell difficulty is what ya go for. I'm level 83 (almost 84) and a few games will still level me (okay... More like a dozen... but think how many Chaos runs it would take!).

Now if you don't have D2, much less the D2 X Pac, then you should get it IMMEDIATELY! It is worth it! Unless you have lotsa stuff to do. Because Im telling you this is gonna suck you into the game like boats get sucked into the Barmuda Traingle!

Summary: Fun game but has some bugs
Review: This makes Diablo II alot funner. I bought it yesterday and that is all i have played since. However this thing has some drawbacks. They put a copy protection program on it. That means you have to spend 5 minutes swaping cds in and out of your cdrom in order to play. I also have been getting ALOT of cdrom errors with it however there is nothing wrong with my cdrom. I think its a bug in the program. I downloaded v1.08 but that did not help. Although it did fix some things i did not like. Maybe when they come out with v1.09 it will be fixed. What is cool is you can start in act one with one of the two new characters. The Druid rocks. In short this is a great game but if you buy it be prepared to deal with some bugs!

Review: Hey everyone, the expansion pack for D2 is great. Expanded Stash and new items have made the game playable again.

Summary: Little much aint it?!
Review: If you thought you finally had Diablo 2 mastered think again. Blizzard has released the expansion and this totally makes Diablo 2 sooo much harder. Nightmare and Hell modes are incrediably harder!! So many more items with all new stats you wount be able to keep up. New characters are ok but not well balanced skill wise. Druid stick with wolf. Summon, bear, and elemental abilities aren't to good. Assassin has some ok skills but the good ones aren't the ones you get at Level 30 so becareful where you put your skill points.

Have fun!!
