Rating: Summary: Duke Nukem for the intelligensia of society Review: Finally, an intelligent shoot-em-up game. After ages of mind-numbing rapid firing "ooh look at the blood spurt out of that guy's neck" games, comes Deus Ex, which combines basic elements of shoot-em-up games, a pretty advanced stealth engine (not unlike that of Thief), and international government/terrorist conspiracies, providing many hours of constantly twisting storyline, sneaking around complex mazes, and (for the simpler of us) shooting people. A must for any serious gamer. Warning: Do not expect to get much sleep while playing this game.
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Review: This is one of the best games ever made. Very few games (especially in the first person shooter genre) manage to combine such an intelligent and broad plot with great action, and detail (for example, at one point I went into the ladies room at your base and later on my boss yelled at me for doing that.) You can play any style you want, you can go in everywhere guns blazing, or go through the whole game killing almost nobody. Its all up to you. Everyone should stop buying "Soldier of Forture" and "Deer Hunter 12" and buy this game instead. Its simply one of the greatest games ever made.
Rating: Summary: One of the best games of all time. Review: This game is great. Its graphics are pretty good but not great. Also it doesn't come with multiplayer but you can download that or just get the Game of the Year Edition. Just about any first person shooter fan should enjoy this even if you only play twitch games like Quake. That's the great thing about Deus Ex, it plays however you want it to. If you are more into games like Thief you can play in that fasion and sneak around in the shadows. Just get this game - you will love it. The idea of adding RPG elements to the game is also a good idea and helps you have your own personal experience with Deus Ex. By the way, playing on realistic is much more fun. The first time I played it was on easy and then I played a second time on realistic and had a blast.
Rating: Summary: This is one of THE BESTgames I have ever played! Review: This game has everything. It is unlike any first person shooter game that has ever been created. in this game you can train in what you want to do. You can train in sniping and shoot people from far away, you can train in rifling and shoot crowds of people with assault rifles or fully automatic shotguns, you can blow stuff up with demolitions training, you can get training in hacking and take down security systems and break into ATM machines, you can learn electronics and break doorcodes or turn off autoguns. In this game, anything is possible, you do what you want to do, you beat the missions the way you want to do it. And another thing I like about this game is the augmentations you can get. You can get things that enhance your sight, accuracy, strength, stealth, and you can even cloak yourself. So please dont hesitate to get this game. You will definetly not regret it.
Rating: Summary: Question everything... Review: "This game is where it's at." That's pretty much I need to say, but still, allow me to elaborate. This game looks cool, sounds spectacular... and plays like no other. A fully interactive world, an immersive storyline with chances for taking different paths at certain points along the game (with the biggest choices at the ending...), this game is a killer. A killer, I tell you. I don't know of a single person who has not enjoyed playing Deus Ex. ... now, where's that Deus Ex 2...
Rating: Summary: Deus Ex Review: Deus Ex is one of the best games ever made. A very long and excellent single player gameplay with a great replay value. It has a great and lenghty story. Set in the future with the world in bad shape, There is poverty, famine, with martial law in almost all cities and a plague called grey death has broken out. You play J.C.Denton, who works in the unatco, an anti terrorist agency along with his brother paul and a few missions later you will find out what the agency really is. Besides a great story the script changes the way you play the game, Like in one mission you will be called to save a girl hostage, If you save her you will be rewarded, If you failed the game will continue it does not say "Mission Failure - Restart Level" ect like in other games. Deus Ex's level design is fantastic, You can go anywhere and do anything you want. All the objectives have more than three paths to complete. The graphics are not very good and the charecter animations are very ugly, but they are more than enough for the fantastic single player gameplay. I played Deus Ex on the Direct3D video mode and the game runs very smooth, The first version may be optimised only for 3dfx glide, but the latest version has a very good Direct3D support. I played it on Direct3D 800x600x32 with all detail set to high and without any trouble and the load times are very good. The bad things are the save games take large disk space and the AI is bad, Besides that it is the best game ever made and deserves the game of the year award. Get Deus Ex, It is the game of the future.
Rating: Summary: a landmark for FPS and RPG games Review: Just to start off, Deus Ex is not for anybody who doesn't like huge complex plots, government cospericies, and exciting adventure gameplay with lots of action. If you do like all of those things, (which you should) come on in to the world of Deus Ex. It has a lot to offer. Deus Ex puts you in the shoes of J.C. Denton, a recently employed nano-tech agent (sort of half machine and half man) who works for UNATCO (United Nations Anti Terroism Coalition) In recent events, a deadly plauge raviges the major cities, and millions are dying. A rouge band of people, the NSF, are hijacking shipments of the antidote. IT is your job to stop them. But you soon find out that the NSF may have a very good cause, and your brother, Paul Denton, (another UNATCO agent) may be in grave danger from UNATCO, and a bunch of people who are persumed innocent might be very bad and powerful. I can't really tell you much more about the story without giving things away, but I can tell you that Deus Ex will definetly please you. The game evolves in to a huge, complex plot with three different endings. There is a lot of stealth, action, suspense, and betrayal in a huge gameworld where doing certain things will lead you in to different sub-plots of intrigue and secrets about the darkest conspericies... All in all PROS: Huge gameworld; replayable; very good plot; good characters; you get to choose between stealth and action; an epic quality throuout CONS: Slowdowns; may be too long and tedious for some BOTTOM LINE: Go buy this game and play it. That's all.

Rating: Summary: ...! Review: This game is AWESOME. I got it for only ...at Target so i thought it would be cheap, but I was proved wrong! This game has everything you could ever want from the game. You gotta sneak around enemies, and interact with everything. It could be called an RPG instead of a FPS. So I know i sound like an ..., but you gotta buy this game!
Rating: Summary: Warren Spector is a God! Review: Simply amazing. Warren Spector has made a masterpiece of a game. It sets new standards in the Action Roleplaying Genre. I cannot recommend this game more. It is and still remains my favourite computer game of all time. The levels are varies, ranging from secret Area 51 labs to the markets of a future Hong Kong. The things that immediately hits you is the sheer depth of the game. I remember at one time hearing two random people on a street holding a long philisophical conversation for about 10 minutes. The action is clever and consistently gives a choice in a play style. You can charge into a situatation but there is always an alternative. The plot is what however really drives this game. If you like a good plot on the same level as that of Baulder's Gate then this is your game. A beautiful conspiracy is slowly crafted around you as you become more and more immersed in the games world. I could write forever about this game. Just buy it. It has redefined what gaming should be about.
