Summary: okay I guess
Review: It's pretty good as far as adding to the game experience -- but be sure you've got lots of memory and hard drive space! I don't, and can't stay in any of the Old Town areas for very long without my computer getting drastically slowed down; I imagine this is a result of my poor memory trying to process the movements and interactions of all the Sims located there, but there's the warning. And the veggie garden isn't intuitive at all -- I've planted one and hired a gardener, but nothing grows, and there aren't any options for actions when I click on it. Must've missed something, but I'm no novice Sims player, so, be warned again.
In short, the pets themselves are fun to play with, but the expansion pack has added a lot of frustration for this antique-computer user.

Summary: The Sims Unleashed
Review: I have all of the expansion packs except for House Party and this is the best one yet. I am giving this one a 5 even though it takes so long to load because that has nothing to do with how much fun it is. You only have to start it once everytime you play. It was easy to load if you follow the directions in the manual. The pets are really cute and you can download a few more off The Sims website. The new bigger neighborhood is great. Its so big that even though you can have more than one I never leave the one neighborhood. Before you buy this make sure that you have enough hard drive memory because it requires 1 gig to run. Although it only takes up like 18 mb. Also if you need to uninstall the program make sure you look at the manual it helps make sure that you don't lose you neighborhoods.

Summary: Petz or no Petz
Review: um well this game is like very good i think it is the best sim game there is i mean what more fun is there with petz. When i first got this game i was exicted and i still am, every day i'm on my computer on the sims, Theres alot of new house idems and animals you can go from a dog or cat 2 a little gold fish or even 2 a igauna. But the bad thing about this game is that if u get a dog or a cat that animal takes up 1 of ur icons, i mean it's fun 2 have pets but u need some space with the people. oh and one more thing u can't control the animals at all but ur sims can talk and play with them, other wise this game is the best u should really buy it. i rate it a 10 out of a 10!!!

Summary: If you are running Win2K, watch out!
Review: Bought the game for my roommate because she is a Simaholic. She loves unleashed, and it seems to offer new interesting new features that people like. There are a few problems though:

Don't count on Windows 2000 compatibility. While Amazon says it's for Win2k, EA/Maxis says it's not compatible with Win2k. I installed the game, and it ran fine for a couple months, but suddenly, the game just wouldn't start. Crashed on loading. Followed EA's recommendations for correcting the problem, uninstall and reinstall everything, no luck. Just by chance I checked compatiblity, EA says no, it won't run on Win2k. I had to revert to the hated Win98 on that PC so she could play. Bad, bad move, EA *smack*.

This expansion pack is unacceptably hardware intensive. If you don't have some pretty intense hardware, please, take a shower or walk your dog while it loads... it may be ready by the time you are finished.

All in all, if you can live without pets, and the "Old Town" addition, you don't need this at all. Oh, be ready to upgrade your hardware.

Summary: Unleashing Your Inner Beast (Or, Cuddly Puppy)
Review: I just recently starting playing The Sims (the Deluxe Edition), and after a few days, decided I needed to try an expansion pack or two. I had a hard time choosing between Hot Date, Vacation, and House Party, so I decided I would just get Unleashed because, after playing the Deluxe Edition, my first thought was, "What this game needs is some pets". Well, here they are! Unleashed and ready to pee on your lawn! The pets are great (although I haven't gotten one yet - I can barely control both my Sims as it is), but little Cher Stray has taken a liking to my house, and she's awfully cute. But besides the animals, there are over 125 more new items, mostly items for your pets but not all of them. And there is a bigger neighborhood, with newer, better houses and more of them. So now I have moved in all of my real-life friends into their own houses so that we can all become friends in the game. Plus, there are new characters, new jobs, new outfits and enough stuff to do in the Old Town. All in all, if you like the Sims at all, you must get this expansion pack in particular. It's so big, it need 2 CDs to install, and while yes, it does make the loading time at the beginning of the game much longer, it's all worth it. Buy this today!

Summary: This game has caused me nothing but frustration!
Review: Make sure your computer has plenty of memory before you buy this. My computer did not, and I had to spend a couple of hours clearing up space for the game. Even after I had cleared up room for this game, it ran slowly and did not follow all the commands I asked of it. What made it even more frustrating was that I had to reinstall the original Sims onto my computer in order to install Unleashed. I'd been playing the Sims (with Livin' Large expansion pack) regularly without any problems, so I have no idea why the game couldn't locate the Sims on my computer when I tried to install "Unleashed". But reinstalling the original Sims caused all of my original game to be over-written so I had to start from scratch with no money and no career. I used to enjoy playing the Sims but now that it runs so slow with the expansion, and that I have to re-start from the beginning after a year of advancing in my money and my career, I can't even play the game the way I used to. :(

Summary: the best expansion pack yet
Review: The sims unleashed is my favorite expansion pack thus far, and I have all of them except for hot date. A whole town is made with shops and parks and places where you can adopt animals or buy smaller ones.

The pets are adorable. They really increase the mood of your sims, too. There is a new pet section in the stuff you can buy, and in my opinion there is not enough. That is the only downfall of this game.

Unlike houseparty, its not jerky for me..but that is probably just my computer. It runs smoothly considering all of the new things it has.

I'm very pleased with it overall. It's definately worth the money.

Summary: The last- but not the least
Review: According to Maxis, The Sims Unleashed may well be the last of the expansion packs. Nevertheless, the game developers never failed to deliver what the original game has been missing since it was released- pets. Choose from a wide range of creatures, from cats, to dogs, from iguanas to love birds. And that's not all-- your sims can grow their own produce with their new gardens, and save money from buying lunch and cooking them. It's easily one of the best expansion packs for The Sims, and I highly recommend this to any The Sims fanatics. It's really worth the money.
