Summary: Intense!
Review: I was a little disappointed when I first began playing MOH as I expected it to be a serious reality game like the Rainbow Six series. (One shot and *you* die.) Instead it was more like a Quake III version of WW II, complete with health packs everywhere and ammo you pick up left and right. Despite that this was probably was of the most intense and edge of the seat games I've played.

I've read some of the comments about the AI and sometimes wondered if I was playing the same game. Yes, some parts are heavily scripted, you have things happen like clean out the hallways of bad guys, complete a task and guess what--more bad guys out of thin air. But the AI is what makes the game play so involving. These guys are smart, see you a mile away, and unlike most shooter games not too keen on sacrifing themselves needlessly. One moment you're on top of things, the next they're all over you, and the snipers can be darn hard to spot.

The game tries it's best to imitate the feel of Saving Private Ryan, and about five scenes were copied all or in part from the movie, the most literal being D-Day. That's not bad, but you sometimes already know what you're going to have to do when the scene starts.

The weapons were surpisingly realistic; the M1 Garand shoots and behaves just like a real one (I've shot one) and the MP-44 is a hoot. You do have some gamey things happen lke picking up 9mm ammo from a German's MP-40 that works just fine in your .45 M1A1 Thompson, but hey, what's a few millimeters between friends, eh?

Overall a more than worth it action game, offset a little by the very abrupt ending, but plenty of bang for the buck.

Summary: don't waste your money
Review: This game is to hard in spot's. You just get killed right away. What fun is that? Also there's flaws in the graphics. I have a dell 1600 mgh with a 124 game card and it still won't play right. Stick with return to castle wolfenstein. That's a five star game. I also have the expansion pack it's as bad as the first one.

Summary: One of the best multiplayer FPS's ever
Review: I say multiplayer because, I've been so addicted to the multiplayer, I haven't even touched the campaign. The online levels are clever and well-designed for combat. Intense firefights and intellegent design make for a must-buy experience. The only flaw is that in MP, some of the levels are sometimes too big for the number of players, causing a little bit of mindless wandering in small-player DM matches. But that's not a problem, because new Mods and levels are constantly being made. Overall, a definite must buy for any fun-loving gamer.

Summary: This Game Ruined My ... Life
Review: Well, not really. My fiance used to mock me for playing this game long into the night, until one day she looked at it for a few minutes over my shoulder...the next day, I went to bed alone while she played until 3am. She's not a gamer- I am- and to say she was hooked is an understatement. So much for my ... life.

We're both soldiers, US Army, and for us this game is about as real as it gets. While I've never seen "real" combat, this fills the void nicely until Dubya sends my ... to the Gulf. The controls are easy to master, even for non-gamers like my fiance or old fogies like my Dad (who got hooked on Return to Castle Wolfenstein at age 58 and is still playing). The action is gritty, even if there isn't any blood (which Rainbow Six, my first "shooter", made me expect as a must-have) and the storyline is somewhat believeable, although to think some Lieutenant is going to single-handedly defeat the Third Reich...come on.

The Allied Assault portion is straight out of "Saving Private Ryan", and if you liked that movie, you'll probably enjoy storming the beach at Normandy, blowing the bangalores on the shingle, and clearing the beachheads. If you're in the military, you'll like the weapons, which are dead-on accurate for sound and recoil. But if you're a hard-core shooter-gamer (and really, if you call yourself a HCG and haven't played this game, somebody ought pull your card) you're better off with Ghost Recon or waiting for the new Delta Force to come out.

Summary: Nice Graphics, but gameplay is frustrating and full of flaws
Review: The game play is very linear. There is a specific 'script' that has to be followed in order to successfully complete each mission. Any deviation from the script means failure.

Even on the easiest level, some portions of the missions are very difficult to complete, if not near impossible. For example, getting through Omaha Beach took dozens of tries before I was successful. Getting up the beach through the machine gun fire was hard enough, but navigating the mine field was almost impossible. This made this part of the game very frustrating, and not very enjoyable for me. But because the missions must be completed in order, I could not move on to another mission until I successfully solved the current one.

On some missions, you have other soldiers with you to help you complete the mission. But you cannot give orders to those soldiers, (such as cover me, or guard my right flank), they do what they 'want' to do and are of limited usefulness. Occasionally, they even get in the way and are detrimental. Maybe that is why the game designers made 'friendly fire' not harmful (I have not decided whether this is a good feature or a bad).

On the positive side, the graphics are excellent and the music really adds to the game.

Summary: the best
Review: This is a fantastic game! slight issues with graphic renderings, but despite that, the playabilty, the sound effects and the music/soundtrack (something I find that no other video game has ever come close to) is simply great!
If you like PVT Ryan (the movie) you will love playing this game! The soundtrack actually makes you feel like you are in part of a movie. The history aspect of this plays well too - especially the sound of the weapons being fired. My Dad (who fought in this war) was amazed at how acurate the sound effects were - chilling ;)
Get this game - it beats any FPS I have played to date.

Summary: Some of the best online gaming you will experience
Review: This game came recommended to me by a friend. AFter playing the Quake series online for years, I figured, what else is there? Well, I was hesitant, the same friend who recommended this game also recommended counter-strike, which to me is a disaster to play(punks).
Well, I played the game through, the ending was not stellar, but the multiplayer is by far THE best I have ever played. It is kind of following in counter-strike footsteps, alot of cheats being exploited, but there are programs out and being developed to hamper that for the most part.
The sounds in the game are so real and vivid, I love the sound of the M1-Garand shooting out an empty clip.
EA should have put out an SDK a LONG time ago, would have made this game an even better seller than it is.
Buy this game, you will like it!

Summary: This game is good!!!!!
Review: I beat it in two days on the easy setting. You will like this game if you have ever played Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Half-Life, or any other first person shooter. Havent tried the multiplayer, but i think that multiplayeris better left to the predominantly multiplayer games such as Counterstrike, Unreal, etc. Graphics are good. People complain about the bugs of the game, but those dont matter, just get the patch from EA and you'll be fine. Get this game. You wont be disapointed.

Summary: The best 1st-person shooter game I've ever played
Review: Hands down, the best 1st-person shooter game I've ever played. The graphics are dazzling and the historically-accurate single player missions kept me up till 3 in the morning playing.

If you're into 1st-person shooter games, World War II history, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is a must.

Summary: One of the best WWII action games available..
Review: This is one of the best action games designed around a World War II setting. If you have seen the movie Saving Private Ryan, you will completely feel at home playing this game as the directors of the movie and the creators of the game collaborated. The sound quality is stunning and the gameplay is fast and frenetic. That being said, I don't particularly like the linear nature of the gameplay. For example, if you don't complete an objective (no matter how minor) you cannot proceed. You will be forced to complete all objectives before moving on in the game. This is rather different from actual combat, where adaptation is the norm. Regardless, the game is enjoyable, and for the World War II or action gamer, this is one of the best available.
