Summary: This game is revolutionary.
Review: I'd say that it's difficult for a computer game to truly impress me. I can think of very few games that I have been completely taken aback by. Titles that come to mind are Halflife, Deus Ex, Opposing Force and even No One Lives Forever. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault is perhaps the best game that I have EVER played. If you read my other reviews, you'll know that I would not throw around such a bold statement. MOHAA is simply on another level compared to most other games. Now, I'm not crazy, so I won't say that it is better than Halflife, but I will say that it most certainly gives the alien shooter a run for its money. In my mind, the two games are readily comparable.

MOHAA is a WWII shooter, which one must admit there aren't enough of these days. I won't count Return to Castle Wolfenstein, because that wove in some sci-fi also. Everything that's out is special forces and anti-terrorism. It's about time that a game came out that was pure Nazi-butt whoopin'. The plot remains very true to WWII, and the missions are realistic down to the smallest detail. The entire game has a feeling of nostalgia, as the guns that are available are strictly Axis and Allies' weapons and fire realistically. The realistic effects are accomplished through accurate sound and strength of the weapon. There are two sniper rifles, a silenced pistol, various submachine guns (including the Thompson, my favorite), and many others. Some missions even allow you to call in artillery strikes using a pair of binoculars. As OSS agent Lt. Mike Powell, you'll encounter nothing but Nazis in this game, which I absolutely loved. Each mission is extremely satisfying because of the mission objectives. Many objectives call for blowing up German weaponry, which is extremely gratifying. It is easy to feel like you're actually helping to win the war.

There is also something to be said about the enemy AI and graphics. The game's graphics are superb. Each landscape is crystal clear, and special effects such as shadows, rain, snow, and fog have all been expertly designed. Your enemies are also smart, despite what other reviews have alleged. Enemies kick over tables for cover, yell for help, look startled when you surprise them, hide in closets, and take cover in strategic positions. A particular mission orders you to make your way through a bombed village that is crawling with Nazi snipers. The snipers are deadly and make you pay for your excessively bold moves. Although one shot does not kill in MOHAA, it does not take very many and you must be on the lookout for medics or first-aid kits. You're also not overwhelmed with enemies. Enemy strongholds and artillery positions are realistically defended, giving the game an even better feel. Needless to say, you'll have your work cut out for you.

A note must also be made of the Normandy Invasion, which is level 3. It's on the cover of the box, and any advertisement you'll see for the game ties back into D-Day. The fact is that the designers at EA have truly done an honor to the actual Normandy Invasion. The mission is ultrarealistic, and HARD. I spent the most time on this mission, which makes sense since the real thing was also next to impossible. Buy the game for this mission alone, if for nothing else.

Overall, I must say that MOHAA is the best game that I've played in a while (if not ever!). People have compared the game to Saving Private Ryan, which is fair because the two are similar. However, MOHAA is a legend of its own. If you don't buy this game, you're definitely missing out on gaming history, but also world history. People will remember this game for a long time, I guarantee.

Summary: Incredible game!!! Bad system requirements
Review: I have to say, the whole nazi killing and world war 2 thing has gotten kinda boring. A year ago, I was excited for this game's release, and I am highly dissapointed.

I had also been looking forward to RTCW, and this is a very good game. I have to admit, it is fun, but the story is dull, the violence is toned down, you have to play multiplayer on Gamespy Arcade, which swarms you with advertisements the instant you open it. I am highly dissapointed to see such a great game have so many downpoints, that I actually rated the game "so, so"

The other thing is that the system requirements are way, and I mean way, to high. The system requirements are 500mhz with 64 megs of ram. My 500mhz P3 computer with 256 megs of ram doesn't cut it. If you think that your old computer will do the job, think again. My computer has done nothing but crash and freeze day and night. This is very strange because I also have a radeon 8500 GPU, which should also have done the trick.

Except for the toned down violence, the gameplay is pretty good. (This game also has relitively bad AI too). Most of the time, the blood helps you out, and you find out if you have hit the person or not. I found it annoying when I thought I would kill someone and they would just run right up to me and shoot me dead.

I like the choice of weapons in the game. You have machine guns, a rocket launcher, rifles, SMG's, pistols, and some far out grenades.

To sum it all up, this game is good, but with many downsides and the system requirements are too steep. Hope this helps! This should be a good game on high end computers.

Summary: BEST GAME EVER
Review: On a scale from one to ten this game is an eleven. For one thing, this game is the most realistic game i have ever played (the people in the boats actually get seasick, their mouths move when they talk, and enemy strategies are so realistic) Another thing is that this game is long, and has a lot of levels. None of us like a game that you beat after a day. Even when you beat the game, you can try it on different difficulties. One of the other good things about this game is that you can play it on the internet, internet games are the best because there are always new missions to try(you can always beat single player, but there is no end to multiplayer missions). If you want a realistic first person shooter that will keep you busy for a long time, then this game is highly recomended.

Summary: Go out and buy it
Review: I've actually read some negative reviews on this site, obviously they didn't play this game. Everything from the hollywood scale movie like scripts to the intense battle scenes copied directly from Save Private Ryan, this game never ceased to amaze me. Just as an example of this, in one level where you have to disable the enemy air-denfense, you start at a battered outpost where you have to fight your way through Germans dug in at a barn house. After you clean that out, you are ordered to out flank half a dozen snipers behind the tower where you will find a radio from fallen comarades. Immediately, the suspense builds as Germans rush into your position and you have to fight your way back to the barn, man the machine gun and mow down advancing soldiers all while your own men are screaming and fighting by your side. Afterwards, you move towards a 88m cannon that is raining morter fire all around you and while you take cover, you have to use that radio you ust retrieved and call an airstrike, then you sit back and watch bombers clear the area for your advance. And that was just a quarter of one of the 30 levels.
Equally amazing is the incredible friendly AI where your troops can duck, fight, use med kits, and cover your position. Not to mention the Omaha beach level (which I felt was more intense that Spielberg's masterpiece). Also, if you have a five piece surround sound set, you will be treated with the most chaotic simulated war experience of your life. I felt all these playing this game on a 433mhz celeron with a voodoo3, imagine what your experienc will be if you paired a p4 with a geforce3. Must Play Omaha Beach Again, see ya!

Summary: Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Review: This game is extrordinary! The AI are smart and take cover and wait for you to pass by so they can ambush you. The Graphics are awesome and it's pretty historically accurate. The ratings on Gamespot and Gamespy are 9.0 and 92%. The D-Day map is fantastic and you can play it on multiplayer co-op! There are 18 missions that made me play for several hours 'till I finished Omaha Beach.

Summary: Medal of Honor: Allied Assault /Electronic Arts
Review: The game is absolutely far superior to Metal Gear Solid. This is a game that have not competition en what first person view refers. The graphics are very realistic, the sound and the background music makes the player think about how our great grandfathers fought that war in second world war against the germans. The game is excellent. I have played the previous two other Medal of Honor but with the new Sonyplaystation 2 the game is by far more superior than previous games.

Summary: Best FPS ever made next to Halo!
Review: I'm a big buff on War tactical games that put you in the dirty boots of a battle hardened soldier whose wits are tested on a second to millisecond basis. Enemy AI should never be leniate on any occasion whatsoever, it's never a game if the challenge is low. Medal of Honor Allied Assault is a perfect example of everything a game should be. You are a soldier in the middle of WWII, you are one of the thousands of courageous soldiers who put their lives on the line willingly to save the Allied Forces from the corruption of the Nazi in 1945. You will go into the heart of the battle and storm the deadly and infamous beaches of Normandy after arrival by the cargo boats with fellow soldiers who are so realistic you may see true Courage on one face, Scared emotions on the other, or true anger. When you or if you make it to the beach, you will dodge bullets and take cover, if you look up, you will notice bomber planes dropping bombs on the bunkers. Look at the water and you will see a group of soldiers firing back at enemies, look over again and you may see bodies floating on the water. Run with a comrade and see his presence, look over again and see him cut to pieces by machine gun fire, folks, it's that realistic, no b.s. whatsoever, if you like FPS's that are real and let you shine at being a virtual soldier in one of the most trying times of the War 'o 44, this is an awesome game that also lets you experience the horror of war, but instict fights your feelings and may prevail in you being courageous and go into a gunfight with a knife, buy this game now and may I reccomend Halo and GTA3. Buy it now.

Summary: BEWARE!
Review: What a nightmare. This game is not for those who just want to load and play! The game will crash on you and EA must know theres a problem because they even have a "safe" mode to use if you crashed once when signing on.
I managed to get through basic training only to have the thing crash again when I went to start the first mission.

I have a Pentium 3 Gateway with beefed up ram (custom added for gaming) and still have system crashes with this game, which has never happened before. The game looks very promising but I urge those of you who are undecided to wait until EA gets the bugs out of this nightmare before purchasing it.

Summary: OH YEA BABY!!!
Review: All I play are first person shooters, and for the last two years they have all basically played the same - run and gun, duck, run and gun. I have RTCW and was fairly bored throughout. I downloaded the demo for this game and played it over and over and put RTCW back on the shelf. I just got the full version and to say I am impressed is an understatement. No endless running around inside castles - the variety inside this game in just the first few levels is truly awesome. Every FPS compares itself to Half-life. This game (so far at least) appears even better! Hard to describe - JUST TRUST ME AND BUY IT!. (if you like FPS that is....) Stunning graphics, and the sound is amazing. But most of all it has great game play. Great eye candy alone doesn't make a great game - but combine that with great game play, and you have a winner. This game will be the benchmark to compare other FPS to.
