Summary: A great game, but could be better
Review: I am a big fan of WWII stuff and also any type of 1st person shooter game. So naturally when MOH:AA came out, I had to get it.

At the beginning of the game, I was dissapointed a bit by the 3D graphics. The figures were a little blocky and sometimes I would see people's feet stick out of the wall and sometimes two enemy soldiers would walk through each other. The background wasn't interactive. Except for doors, you cound't open anything else in the house. In Max Payne one can usually open anything and use everything (toilets, mic, etc) but not in this game. The AI wasn't that smart as I thought it would be. You can still wait around the corner and kill many guys running in.

However, by the middle of the game the missions got so interesting and I was having too much fun to care about the graphics. Being able to drive tanks, run around in little French towns, and battle with snipers is just a dream come true. Another thing I love is the sound. In the middle of the battle or inside building you can hear German being spoken. This makes the game feel much more real.

Bottom line: Get the game. The graphics isn't great but the gameplay IS great!

Summary: What a disappointment
Review: The graphics are great BUT you have to take a look at the whole package. As other reviews have mentioned, the AI has a lot to be desired. I haven't tried the multiplayer part yet but as far as the missions go they are very frustrating. In some parts, seemingly unlimited solders come running when everything has been cleared out. One part (and this is what made me write this), I couldn't even see the sniper after countless times trying to find him not caring if I died. I just wanted to see where he was hiding. That is fine if it works both way but fire one shot, even if you're hidden and the entire enemy force know exactly where your at. Also, the whole game is choreographed so you can't do anything out of the ordinary (so much for thinking on your own). In one battle, I tried to get a sniper rifle but when I ran ahead, there was an invisible barrier, which stopped me. Then friendly soldiers came and blocked the way so I couldn't get though. We usually all got killed. I tried several variations and it happened every time. This was during the Omaha Beach mission. Also, in some parts of the game, depending weather or not the authors allowed it at the time, soldier's weapons seemed to magically disappear when they are shot. So, if you like more of an arcade style game this may be for you, but if you like more realism, check out Operation flashpoint. In my opinion, the graphics are in the same league but the game play is 10 times more enjoyable and realistic.

Summary: The BEST - Bar None
Review: If you enjoy a combination of action with historical accurate scenarios then this is the game for you! A combination of Doom and Saving Private Ryan! Everything from the background music to the whistling of the wind pulls you into this game! I've never played a better or more accurate WWII sim. Order this game!!! You will not be disappointed!

Summary: You'll enjoy it.. but make sure your system is up to it!!
Review: Gameplay is very good, as you can gather from majority of reviews. Imagery and detail are stunning- if you are a WWII historian/buff AND a gamer...you've gone to heaven. Aside from all the obligatory gushing and kudos, what every potential buyer better be aware of is system demands. The requirements are high; I'm running an Athlon 1.2 with 256 MB, 32 MB onboard video and i was locking up constantly, even with all settings at min and background programs shut down. I used the experience as convenient excuse to upgrade- put in nVidia GeForce3 Ti200 64MB and "voila", things smoothed out. There's problems EA must be aware of, (see the 'safe' mode for crashes). I've never had problems running games (OP Flashpoint, RTCW, etc)and this game was a nightmare without the juiced up card (MY experience, now)....SO, if your system is up to the task, purchase and enjoy!!

Summary: MOHAA vs RTCW
Review: Both of these games take place in the WWII time frame. RTCW is about kicking Nazi's rear end in like in the first two games in this series. MOHAA is about the truely about WWII. I like both games. MOHAA is tougher then RTCW with snipers in every mission. The enemies are stronger in MOH. It really depends on what you in to. If you like multiplayer games, and/or kicking Nazi's rear end then get RTCW. If you want to find out how WWII was really like, or close to it, and looking for a challenge then get MOHAA.

Summary: Great but too short to short too easy.
Review: This was a great game with superb graphics and gameplay and very fun. But it was too short I beat in practicly a day. It was also very easy and didn't challenge me. It was fun and very realistic and accurate. I would suggest it but it was not challenging or hard. It is also very short and quick. If you like to be challenged this is not the game for you. But I'm giving it 5 stars cause overall it is a great game.

Summary: Medal of Honor:Allied Assault.
Review: I'm a WW II buff, and a 20 year U.S.Army vet. The detail and sounds were great, single player mode is intense, the multi-levels and missions were challenging. The weapon detail was superb, sound of the actual weapons were right on, nothing beats the sound of your M-1 after you shoot that 8th round (ping!). Rangers Lead the Way !!

Review: Best game in the world. Excelent graphics and very much like the movie Saving Private Ryan without the blood.

Summary: Review of the SINGLE PLAYER game.
Review: Fun? Hell yes! Realistic? Well, that depends. Taken in the context of being a game, it is very realistic. However, for those of you looking to actually re-live this legendary time, you are of course going to be disappointed. This is a game, not a simulation, and as such, I have to score it very high. Those of you looking for a battle simulation would be better served by "Operation Flashpoint" or even "Project IGI". "Medal of Honor" is strictly a first-person shooter in a WW II setting; I don't think it's pretending to be anything more. And in that context, it's a first-rate FPS. It's immersive, addictive, gorgeous, and sounds great too. I'm playing it on an Athlon 1.2 ghz. system with a 32 MB geForce 2 video card and 256 MB system ram. I experienced some difficulty getting it running at first. It would run, but I'd lose mouse control when actually in the game. What ended up working best for me was to start the game using the game's 'safe mode' (this starts the game in a window on your desktop--you'll still have no mouse control at first, but clicking the mouse outside the window enables it in the game), then switching to high detail once actually inside a game level (this enlarges it to full-screen). This is my personal solution to my own personal problem--your results may vary. I'm running (and recommending) updated geForce 2 reference drivers, and the graphics look stellar at 1024 x 768. I'm about two-thirds of the way through the game. The Normandy level is indeed fantastic, but the levels immediately following it are even better. Actually, there is some phenomenal level design throughout the entire game. And having played "Return to Wolfenstein" through to completion, I can confidently say the entire game design of MoH is superior. Don't get me wrong. I really liked RtCW, but it pales a bit compared to MoH. Both games suffer from linearity, but Wolfenstein's linearity is worse. MoH is linear, but it usually doesn't feel that way, and sometimes the levels are so huge, the linearity is almost non-existant. A classic FPS. Highly recommended.
