Summary: as good as it gets!!
Review: This is the best fps that is in the world war 2 era. THe missions are amazingly well done. The graphics are amazing, and so many options on graphics, such as vumetric smoke and many graphic settings. In thsi game you go in undercover several times. this game requires you to be imaginative, it's not just that you can do it only 1 way, and the AI is pretty good. THe multiplaayer is incredibly good. Usually it has around 4,00 people on it. I'm not kidding around, if you want check out how many are on yourself, courtesy of gamespy arcade. If you are looking for the experence of a life time, combining realism and imagination, your ship has come in. (though i have had it scince it was realised. that was awhile ago, so you should be able to get a good price). :)

Summary: Best WWII Sim EVER!!!! (excluding flying ;)
Review: This game is by Far the best Troop sim I've ever played! The game uses the Quake III engine, (Don't we all just love Quake III?)so you know what to expect graphically, The Graphics are a bit better than Quake III sharper mostly, pair it with a decent video card, with a hunk of ram, and a bit of cpu speed, turn the the graphics up, and you have a very real looking Game. The controls are a bit hard to learn, but the build in tutorial helps a lot, once you get used to the controls, It's easy to see why they were picked.

The Gameplay is very fun, challenging, and takes a while to master, it always keeps you on the edge of your seat.. The levels are challenging, require a bit of thinking, Ducking, and overall you need to plan quite a bit.

If you can only have one game, this is the best game I've ever played!

Summary: Well done, but contaminated with nuiances
Review: This is a review of the single player mission. Look elsewhere for multiplayer reviews.

This game is a refreshing take on the WWII FPS genre. Entertaining enemy AI, fun story, good level of realism. There is enough variety in the missions to keep you interested, and if you're an accuracy/realism enthusiast like myself, you'll definately appreciate the attention to detail paid by the developers. Exfiltration was definately well planed, as too many FPS games out there consider the mission a success regardless to the fact that you're in the middle of an enemy stronghold and just set off a few hundred pounds of HE. Consulting with Capt. Dale Dye really paid off in my opinion.

Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues with the game that just drove me nuts. On the technical side, there was this bug that would reset my character's orientation in the middle of a firefight. So here I am locking in on a sniper's head, and the next thing I know I'm facing the opposite direction! Also, on my system (p4 1.4ghz, 256 mb rdram, GF2 ULTRA 64mb) there were stalls as the engine thrashed resources. I know I no longer have a top-of-the-line system, but there were no such problems with RTCW using the same technology. Lastly, on a particular mission you are supposed to wear an enemy's uniform and infiltrate a bunker undetected. Well, on my installation, that part just did not work. I was immediately recognized every time.

Certain parts of a few of the missions became very tedious and incredibly aggrevating. It made me wonder if the developers were too close with the playtesters, or just didn't let enough average gamers test out the missions. I guarantee you'll be shaking you fist at enemy snipers who seem all but invisible coupled with infailable accuracy, riflemen who seem to have belt-fed mausers, and enemies with X-Ray vision. I like a good challenge, and I know it seems rather weak of me complaining about this, but I honestly believe that the mark of good game design is building challenge on a level playing field.

Was this game worth playing? Definately. Would I play other games in this series? Definately. While it's not fair to compare this game to RTCW due to the silly sci-fi aspect, I recommend trying that game first. I encourage you to wait a few SKUs and price drops before purchasing MOH:AA.

Summary: What are they smoking?
Review: Ignore every other review that gave this game under 4 stars. i say (and game informer magazine agrees) that Allied Assault is the best first person shooter ever coded. It has the best sound of any game out there. the sound team at ea actually recorded the weapons fond in mohaa and put them in the game. So when you use your thompson, its the actual weapon youre hearing.

The Storming of omaha beach puts many movies to shame in the effects department. artillery sends sand up in your face, men sit on the beach and sob, and mines blow up and sending you flying. (hint: dont use your weapon untill the captain yells "covering fire!" and also, the path through the mines is taking th most direct route to the craters, cind of looking like this: M(a big zigzag.) then run straight to the bunker and jump down. also USE COVER! if you dont, you WILL DIE!

but there are many more levels to this game besides dday. the first level is a rescue mission taking place in arzew, africa. the countries you fight in include france, north africa (yes, i know its not a country) and germany itself.

the weapons include: the m-1 garand, the .45 thompson, the Broning Automatic Rifle (BAR), MP40, Colt 45, panzershrek, bazooka, winchester riot shotgun, springfield 03 sniper, kar 98 sniper, and last (but DEFINENTLY not least, The Fearsome STG 44 (MP44). the chated weapons Are as follows: Walther p38 and the kar 98.

this game id worth the money you pay for it

Summary: I Love it! Give it a Medal of Honor!
Review: Medal of Honor Allied Assualt is quite possibly the best WWII game ever. The graphics are great, the gameplay is the best ever.
The weapons are even historical accurate! Get guns ranging from a
Colt .45, M1 garand, Thompson, BAR (browing automatic rifle), both U.S. frag grenade and a German one that looks like a black baloon at the end of a stick, get a Winchester shotgun, bazooka,
operate a tank, mounted machine guns, and much more.
I beat this game and was awarded five medals, The Leigion of Merit, The Norwegian War Cross with Sword, The American Campaign Medal, The Good Conduct Medal, and the Bronze star.
Here are the good things about MOHAA:

Over 20 authentic war weapons.
Beuatiful graphics
The D-day mission is worth [the price].
The best war game---EVER!
Six missions
You will never get bored
____________________________________________________________

Bad things:

A few graphical glitches
No blood
Heavilly scripted AI

As I said, it's a good game, well-worth the hype, the AI can do
many things, including: jump on grenades, run for cover, duck, and much more! But it is heavilly scripted, I once threw a grenade in a room with four Germans, one of the soldiers jumped on it, saving the others, but then he got up and started shooting
at me.
Overall, it's a good game the D-day mission is good, although it copies "Saving Private Ryan" way to much.

Summary: A fair game, respectably fun multi-player experience!
Review: I have found the multi-player game to be fun. The single player is long, and monotonous. The graphics, I feel, are break-through especially if you have the use of a top-notch graphics card, a wealth of RAM, and a speedy processor. I was a big Tom Clancy Ghost (before the release of Ghost Recon.) getting used to the view and controls of MOHAA were difficult and felt somewhat inclosed, however, after a while of playing you get used to them. This game runs very much like Quake or any of those first-person shooters. If you are a high-speed multi-player kind of person you shall like this game... if not then you shan't. Again... I found the single player blase and frustrating a little bit after the Omaha invasion.

Summary: VERY DISAPPOINTED
Review: I have been a MOH player on PS one since it came out and have loved each of the games. Since I don't have the PS2 I got MOHAA for my PC. I have had nothing but problems since. I have spent at least 5-10 hours trying to troubleshoot the game to no avail. I have been dying to play this and have had nothing but grief. For those good reviews, I am sure the game is entertaining, but for those having the same problems, it has been a nightmare. I feel like one of those guys landing at Normandy who gets shot before he even gets out of the landing craft! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Summary: And why isn't this Number one on Amazon?
Review: Oh My God! This game should have been rated at Number one seeing that the Multiplayer as well as the game is Awesome. But to truly appreciate the game DSL as well as system requirements would help. The Game is awesome as the graphics as well as sound and realism from Germans sniping to Machine gun fire and Axis speaking German this game overall as you can see rates five stars. The Multiplayer is also a good way to play as you can do objective missions like Omaha Beach where you can either play as Axis or Allies. As Axis you have to defend your post and Allies of course take it over. I have always been a fan of Medal of Honor series and will continue as long as EA keeps making great games as this one. I am an online player so the maps and weapons as well as the fact that you cannot mod yourself to fly or other cheats, which I must say the makers of "Red Faction" lack in, work fine with me and also in Multiplayer the fact that the realism comes into play is also good. It takes about a round of well placed shots to take you down not like the game where you can take 50 shots before you even go down. Overall the Multiplayer and Game itself is an awesome package for anyone that is into online game playing.

Summary: More than a shoot-em-up
Review: I am a big fan of FPS games but Allied Assault goes beyond shooting at everything you see. In all missions, there is some degree of strategy and planning required to complete the assignmet. The graphics are great and the assortment of weapons is perfect for the game. They are all WWII vintage, adding to the realism of the game. I also like the seemingly unlimited quicksaves. Overall, this is one the best action games I have seen in a long time. Very realistic and not overly violent or gory considering the subject matter. I hope EA will release expansion packs for this game. Great job.

Summary: Don't Believe the Hype
Review: I am serious WWII and gaming fan, and I just don't get MOHAA. The idea of a game that copies the beach invasion from "Saving Private Ryan" is a good one, but MOHAA doesn't do it very well. You face hours of tedious subterranean cement hallways filled with the ubiquitous FPS crates before you even get to Normandy. Many of these hours seem plagiarized from "Goldeneye," and the occasional nice suprises -- for instance manning a .30 on the back of a jeep -- invariably overstay their welcome. Linearity is preserved by having things like velvet ropes you inexplicably can't cross and lights you can't shoot out even though you can shoot out the lights next to them.
I played this game on "Hard" to try to make it as realistic as possible, but the result was mainly that the Nazis could get strafed across the face with a machine gun and, after staggering back for a moment, keep coming. When one of my men threw himself on a grenade to save me, I thought "Cool!" But when he got up and kept fighting as if nothing had happened (because he wasn't scheduled to die yet), I was less impressed.
When I did finally get to Normandy, the game quickly became overwhelmed by the number of things happening (I have a PIII/256/32M nVidia) and became stop motion, even at the crappiest settings. And not that much interesting was happening anyway.
Older games like "Serious Sam" (which stays smooth with more assailants and much higher pixel and polygon counts) kick this game's rear technically, and MOHAA is never quite cool enough to make up for the fact that it seems so lazily designed and programmed. The best thing about it is the shareware patches you can download from the internet to make the game show some blood -- at least they're inventive.
The game's dull cartoonishness, grouped with its pretentious credits and music and ludicrous claims of realism (Supreme Allied Headquarters sends you letters that say things like "But now it's 1944, and much has changed since the Nazi victories of 1941-42!"), makes the whole thing kind of embarrassing. I was disappointed by this game. If I was a D-Day Vet I'd be offended.
