Summary: Medal of Honor : Allied Assault
Review: Medal of Honor : Allied Assault is a fps set in the real world during the second world war and you get to play an american soldier. The multiplayer gameplay is poorly designed but the single player gameplay is excellent with great level design, fairly good enemy ai and intresting missions, But it has the worst ending ever in a computer game. The d-day mission is one of the best levels ever in a fps, it makes you feel as if you are really there and it is quite disturbing, It alone is worth buying the whole game. Mohaa is built on the quake3 engine, I played it on the OpenGL video mode and it runs great. The graphics and sound are great but the main menu is badly designed and confusing. The load times are not long and the quick loading is almost instant. Medal of Honor : Allied Assault is an excellent computer game and not to be missed if you like fps.

Summary: Wow, wow, wow, this is a awsome game!
Review: I do not know how to start off with this. This is truly the best game that I have ever played! Anyone who is interested in World War II and likes first person shooters, this is the game for you! This epic game alows you to hop into the boots of Lt. Mike Powell of the 2nd Rangers Bn. and carry out a good variety of epic missions. You will travel to the deserts of Arzew, the beaches of Normandy, and the town of St. Lo. One thing I have to tell you about this though is that Medal of Honor Allied Assault's (MOHAA for short) gameplay is no cake-walk if you are one of those people who refuse to use cheat codes. Alough for new players cheat codes are probably a good way to start off with this game just so you can get to know it. Once you have beat it with codes then move on to Multiplayer. In multiplayer (which requires a good internet setup and the Gamespy Arcade) lets you play with thousands of other gamers from around the world. Multiplayer is truly one of the best parts of the game. *WARNING* on your first day of playing MOHAA do no try multiplayer! Most of the people who play MOHAA online know the game well and are quiet good. Get to know the stratigies of the game first. So over all Medal of Honor Allied assault is a great game with good music, a exellant engine, very good graphics, and alought of cool guns maps, enemys, vivid AI (Artificial Intellegence of the enemys) and lost of cool sound effects. For anyone who enjoys stuff like this please do your self a favor and buy this game! Hope you like this as much as I do! Good luck!

Summary: Surprisingly Realistic
Review: Being a veteran of first person shooters like Quake and Half-Life, I put a lot of stock in how frightening a game is. For that reason, I've always been skeptical of war games. After playing Medal of Honor, I've changed my mind. Medal of Honor's strengths lie not in fast action and jump-out monsters, but in atmosphere, cinematic gameplay, and strategy in combat.

If you've ever wanted to be in a war movie, this is the game to play. Many of the missions seem to be taken straight from Saving Private Ryan, and the feel of that movie is replicated with amazing accuracy. At times, the game literally plays like a movie, including superior officers shouting orders to you and fellow soldiers dying in front of you. Everything adds to the atmosphere, from the extremely well-done and realistic levels to the weather effects like rain and snow. Even the music, which is half heroic, half chilling (sounds kind of like Star Wars meets Danny Elfman) adds to the feel of the game, though I find sometimes playing with the music off adds to the chilly realism.

The gameplay is different than other, more fast-paced shooters. It forces the player to be cautious and tactical, always running for cover from machine guns, looking over their shoulder, or listening for that distant sniper. The player must play the role of sniper, shoot enemies from the back of a jeep, drive a tank, destroy tanks with a rocket launcher, call in air strikes, go on covert missions, and even pose as a german officer.

My only real complaint is the complete lack of gore. The game is enjoyable enough without it, but for a game that tries so hard to mimic graphic films like Saving Private Ryan and Enemy At The Gates, it seems silly when you shoot someone and not a single drop of blood falls. I feel its one of the only things that stops this game from being truly perfect in its realism, but not enough to keep me from giving it five stars and highly recommending it.

Summary: The greatest to be made.
Review: I tried this game at a friends and was hooked. Having played the other titles, I was hoping for a lot. I got more than expected. The enemy AI is very smart. They will duck, throw back grenades and devastate you from behind. They are also very accurate shots. Be careful! As for missions, each is unique to eachother. Not one is like the others. The Allies you meet are valuable help. Did I mention the realism? Although frustratingly too realistic at times (such as loading times), this game covers everything from sound to details to muzzle flash. No two guns sound a like unless completely necessary (Like a P38 and Colt .45. They had similar chambering and thus sounded similar). This game is a must buy for diehard fans, or beginners in this series. Be sure to get Frontline if you want it for PS2. It is just as good. *Minor note: On the PC Version, D-Day is the third mission. On PS2, it is the first mission.

Summary: This sums it up
Review: Ok, this is going to be real quick because its rather easy to understand. This is the best game I have ever played for any system and of any genre. Done.

Summary: Too Linear
Review: The games graphics are okay, though I don't usually like this graphics engine, it seems jerky to me, and I know I have the system requirements to handle. I think it handles physics poorly, it seems like you go from running to standing in one frame of video. Too much of this gives me video whiplash.

The game play is tough, but it's straight linear action, and I found that dumb. When pinned down you can't move to flank, you can only crawl forward, so you wind up saving a lot. Plus enemies you can't see are nailing you, and some of that should go both ways. I can't see them, they can't see me.

It's basically like battling your way down a hallway. I think the best games in the war genre are battlefield 1942 (worse graphics but cool teamplay especially online) and ghost recon.
If ubisoft would make a world war two expansion pack or full version game off the ghost recon engine, it would smoke this weak effort from EA.
