Summary: a great and memorable shooter
Review: MOHAA is one of the best games I've bought over the last year, and I've bought a lot. I have a Pentium 4 1.5 gig with 640 megs of ram with 64 megs Radeon graphics card and have had no problem running it.

MOHAA takes you through 6 World War 2 era missions. Weapons are extremely realistic. So far the best mission is 5, in which you must break out from Normandy and steal a German tank. This is an extremely fast-paced run and gun shooter. There is no blood in the game, although if you want that there are plenty of patches online. On some levels, you can call in airstrikes and use enemy weapons against them. The AI is pretty good, although not as good as Return to Wolfenstein. Nazis duck behind cover and will avoid spots where numerous soldiers have been picked off.

The D-Day landing is exteremely difficult - I had to use a cheat code to get off the beach, since I had gotten tired of my character's being wiped out within 10 seconds. On some levels, you have friendly soldiers or underground contacts who will fight alongside - they're a big help so keep them safe.

All in all, this is a wonderful game and will delight even hardcore gamers. The game keeps you informed of objectives as you advance, so you always know where you are and what is to be accomplished next. I plan to buy the expansion pack soon.

Summary: Intense Reality
Review: Medal of Honor was designed to be as real as it could be with the help of special consultant Capt. Dale Dye. My friends, the mission was accomplished with exceptional detail to attention. You will have to employ strategy, a bit of luck, and the intestinal fortitude to withstand the Nazi Regime! It's the little things like gun recoil, sounds of mortars hitting in the distance, and low flying planes bombing around while your ducking under the bullets of a marksman sniper. The musical score is better than most movie scores you will hear and bar none to any other game score. The only comparable movie score is Saving Private Ryan. I have played Ghost Recon, Operation Flashpoint, and Castle Wolfenstein. While I like those games as well, Medal of Honor is the most realistic feeling of all four. This game will not disappoint even the novice gamer. The only game to remind us every time we turn it on that World War 2 was ugly and gruesome, yet things like Honor, Code, and Loyalty are the price at which we (America) have earned freedom. So enlist soon, and join the greatest crusade of your life.

Summary: Half-Life's Cute (but not Bootylicious) Little Sister
Review: I don't know if it's the best game of the year, and I don't know how great it is all the way through, as I've only played a few missions.

Let's get something out of the way immediately-just about every FPS (first-person shooter) you can buy these days will be compared, sooner or later, to Half-Life. Having said that, I've played Half-Life, Half-Life is a friend of mine, and Medal of Honor is no Half-Life.

It is however a very good game that stands on its own merits. Yes, it has that Half-Life flavor I like where the story takes place as part of the action rather than during between-mission cut scenes. I found that aspect of Half-Life ingenious and engaging, a more "immersive" experience, as the kids say these days.

To echo the criticisms of others, though: The AI is not as polished as the AI in Half-Life. (But then, show me a game where it is.) If a surprised enemy rounds the corner and doesn't "expect" me, he'll run right past me and keep trying to run through a wall until I put him (it) out of its misery by pumping a few rounds in him (it). Moments such as these remind me that I'm playing a game and tear me out of the experience.

"Clipping" is another issue in Medal of Honor. That's the fancy of way of saying that when I kill an enemy, he sometimes gets so distraught that he'll become transparent and stick his head through a solid wall. My favorite, though, is killing a guard standing atop a table, who dies with his boots on the table and the rest of his body floating in mid-air. David Blaine, you eat your heart out!

Bottom Line: A good-very good-shooter with not a lot of replayability, but a nifty multiplayer component that ought to keep those multiplayer freaks happy. As the Wall Street analysts would say: BUY!

Summary: HA!
Review: LOL! Compared to Return to Castle Wolfenstein this game is totally god like. Not only the amazing MOH:AA's graphics excels any other FPS games, it's ultimate AI and sound effects out-stands them as well!
During the SP demo, i was impressed by how advanced the soldiers' AI's were. they would shout out "GRENADE!" when they see incoming grenades. they would take cover in their foxholes or any other places. they would shout out signs of warning if they spot their enemies or dangers. this game simply excels every AI ever created for First Person Shooter games.
comparing this game's story line and actions with Castle Wolfenstein's out of topic WWII story and action, MOH:AA makes the players experience the true actions that took place during the major battles of WWII.
in this game players could encounter many historically accurate guns, vehicles, soldiers, and settings. this game might bring back the images from the movie Saving Private Ryan and original HBO TV show series, Band of Brothers.
i recommend this game because of the simply outstanding AI and historically accurate settings.

Summary: Most Realistic War Game Ever Made
Review: I downloaded and played the single player demo over the weekend and I have to say this demo has the most realistic and tense war settings I have ever played in a computer game. Trust me, I've played them all. I have played Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Ghost Recon, Operation Flashpoint, Sudden Strike, Sudden Strike Forever, etc. and none these even come close to what I have just played on the just released single player demo. Just the background battle sounds (distant gun and artillery fire along with the sound of planes flying overhead) and the music alone is worth downloading the single player demo. Wait till you see the scenery (the burn out vehicles and destroyed 88 guns) and the America and German soldiers in action (not only is each side shooting and throwing grenades at each other, but their is also hand to hand combat where each side trys to use the end of their rifles to head butt each other). This single player demo alone has got the best AI I have ever seen in a computer game. It reminded so much of the movie "Saving Private Ryan". It figures though, this game would turn out to be so good because Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks Studio was involved in the making of this game. I can guarantee you this game is going to get alot of awards and write-ups in the future. Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault is going to be one of the top computer games released for 2002. If I can can go back and keep replaying the single player demo over and over again, that tells you how great Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault is going to be. A good computer game, in my opinion, is one that you can keep playing more than once.[...]. Everyone should add this computer game to their computer game collection. When I played the single player demo, I started to realize that war is hell and their is no glory in fighting or killing. You realize that the American soldiers in World War II justed went in to try to do their jobs to try to end the war so they could go back home. Again, I highly recommend everyone to go out and buy this game.

Summary: WWII gaming at its finest
Review: This game truly is the best world war 2 game i have ever played. It has it all. Although the multiplayer can have bugs (mine doesn't even work), the single player is truly amazing.

Graphics: 5 out of 5

The graphics are some of the best. The water flying up at d-day, the explosions, the soldier models and the guns all look fantastic. The only problem is that there is no blood or gore, even though World War 2 was probably the goriest war ever fought in america's history. However, you do see dust and grey vapor ejecting from your enemy's and allies' bodies when they are shot, which is cool. (just like in the movies!)

Sound: 5 out of 5

This game has some of the best sound EVER. The gun sounds are fantastic. The sounds of bullets flying past you and the bullets hitting people are even more fantastic. The explosions and music and voices are even more fantastic than most fantastic! The music is awsome. Also, if you are in a disquise, the germans talk to you in REAL GERMAN! But don't worry, if you don't know how to speak German, there is a translator on the bottom of the screen. Also, the gun sounds are SWEET! When I fire a rocket launcher ofr bazooka, I feel like I am really in world war 2! You should buy this game for the sound alone!

Single player: 5 out of 5

The single player is breathtaking. Many of the levels look like scenes from "Saving private ryan". Imagine D-day on hard! It is intense! The D-Day mission is one of my favorite levels in the game! You have to go from your boat in the water all the way to the bunker, into the bunker, to the gunners, and out of the bunker. It is awsome! The sequence of events is awsome! In some levels, you have some allies fighting alongside you, and what's awsome is that they can and will die at any time! If all of them do unfortunatly perish, you can still take on the mission alone, but you will have no help. The town battle, which is 2 missions after d-day, is one of these missions. It is like the final battle in "Saving private ryan". You go into the town, fight germans, and make it to the courtyard. The mission is somewhat long, and also one of my favorites. You can even go into houses and fight from there. Or, if you're a coward, you can stay behind a wall, wait until a german passes, shoot him dead, and repeat. There is also a tank. The single playe is awsome.

Lengthetivity: 5 out of 5

This game is long. After you beat it, you will play it again because it is so fun. The sound alone is what makes this game worth buying, and the missions are incredibly fun. The music is also some of the best, and is so good, it rivals Halo's music!

Rent or Buy?

Buy. This game is amazing. If you hate war games, this game will make you a war game fan. It is for EVERYONE.

Pros:

1. Amazing graphics
2. Extremely well done sound
3. Great music
4. Single player is awsome
5. D-day mission and Town mission is truly original, fun, and inspiring
6. Training mode is excellent

7. Germans speak real german language
8. American allies sound like real WWII american allies
9. Weapons are awsome
10. Makes you feel like you're really in world war 2

Cons:

1. Some times, even if you are stealthy, if you kill an enemy in a room with no one else in it, every other german will somehow know you're an imposter
2. A few tiny glitches

Buy this game. You won't regret it.

Summary: review was inaccurate
Review: I recently purchased this first person shooter expecting more of the same run and gun type of action found in dozens of other games. (I lied. I played the demo to death while waiting for this.) After playing the playstation 2 version, I didnt expect much. When I finally played the PC version I was literally blown away. When I seen the depth of the game I knew I had to buy it. The demo was the most used program on my computer for months. Now the full game is in my posession and I love it. The PC version is actually a completely different game. The missions are different as is the character you play. Obviously the game in general is far better than the console version.
True, the game has no blood or gratuitous amounts of fleshy, dripping, guts, but the game has style. You will learn that other games with gallons of bright red liquid gushing from enemies when you shoot them is rediculous anyway. There are other means of telling when youve scored a hit like sound and slick model animations. Also, the graphics are great. You can hide out in rubble or lush leafy bushes. The sound is the best. You can tell where your enemies are by listening for them (you may need a better sound card to support the enviromental audio, but they arent that pricey). I swear that in multiplayer, I have hunted my friends down by listening to thier boots jogging on the ground. You can always tell where stuff in the game is by litening to it. You may have to creep with some stealth sometimes, but it all adds to the game.
The review stated that the multiplayer is average at best. The reviewer clearly has to be talking about another game. This was a mistake, because in my opinion, MOHAA has the best mutliplayer. It adds the intelectual factor of Ravenshield with a faster paced game. All of the maps are wonderfully thought out. Even the smallest, forgotten nooks and crannies, that seem like developers accidents are purposely put in the level for the advantage of whomever hides in there. There are little spots under rubble or in bushes. There are so many places to hide out and yet there is never a break in the action. The maps can be kind of large, but can be played with few or many people. The game tpyes are fun and have much variety. You will love the sinlge player Omaha beach invasion and you get to recreate that online. The multiplayer is not sub-standard. In fact, it has to be the most fun FPS deathmatch or teambased game ive played. This game is so well done, it make many of the games out today look like garbage. The funny thing is: I dont even like EA Games after being dissapointed with several of their other titles.
Buy this game. If there is anything you will get out of it for sure, it is a sense of appreciation for the most horroble war of all time. You will feel the emotion in this game.
You will feel like you are part of the raw battles of WWII, making adifference. After playing this game you will run out and watch Saving Private Ryan. You may also feel the need to research some history on the war. It makes you feel. Check it out.

Summary: Edge of your Seat Action!
Review: This is the only Medal of Honor game I have bought and I have to admit, I was amazed at the perfromance of this game. The graphics are very detailed and realistic. The sound quality is great and really immerses you in the situation. The game will have you hooked for hours playing the intense Single Player mode where you defeat the Germans at many locations. Online multiplayer is another + to the whole game, play with up to 64 over the internet or LAN and relive your favorite levels again. 56K owners: this game is a bit laggy online at times, but usually you should have no problem. Drive in Trucks, Tanks, Jeeps, and on foot (most of the time). Each side has different weapons: Including grenades, pistols, rifles, sniper rifles, sub-machine guns, machine guns, rocket launchers, and shotguns. Recommended to all because there is no blood or gore. Happy Gaming.

Summary: MULTIPLAYER MAKES GAME AWESOME
Review: I never played the single mode. Involved in the multiplayer mode all the time. I would be playing for hours and hours at a time. I lost my life. But it was worth it. Rarely ran into a multiplayer hacker. AMAZING GAME

Summary: mohaa vs call of duty
Review: there is no question call of duty's single player is way more intense than mohaa. But call of duty is more difficult single player. Mohaa has the better multiplayer by far, the maps are more interactive, call of duty's maps you cant jump on a door like you can in mohaa etc. But anyway here is what I think:

Graphics: Call of duty: 10 MOHAA: 7

No question here call of duty is much newer and better graphics and more realistic models especially.

Sound: Call of duty: 8 MOHAA: 10

Both awesome sounds but MOHAA sounds better and the D-Day level has incredible explosions and MG42 fire.

Weapons: Call of duty: 9 MOHAA: 9

MOHAA weapons sound better you can aim better with the CoD weapons.

Gameplay: Call of duty: 10 MOHAA: 7

CoD far more intense much more difficult so more realistic.

AI: Call of duty: 10 MOHAA: 5

OK the AI in MOHAA is just horrible most of the enemies stand still which makes you a nazi killing machine and your teammates are worthless but in CoD your teammates are very skilled and help you alot, and the enemy is 10 times better they take cover hide and are far more realistic than MOHAA.

Multiplayer: Call of duty: 7 MOHAA: 10

like I said before MOHAA maps much better but CoD is more realistic in multiplayer so you die quicker which is bad because noobs get kills but in MOHAA it takes more skill to get a kill.

Fun: Call of duty: 8 MOHAA: 9

Overall this is the top stat because you can go through cod single player and die alot which makes it more frustrating. but I have played both a ridiculous amount of time about 400 hours on mohaa and 250 on cod so they are both very addictive.

But overall if you looking for intense single player get CoD but if you're looking for great multiplayer and pretty intense single player get MOHAA. Heck get both.
