Review: This game is okay, but it's basically an improved Empire Earth. What doesn't get improved is the gameplay or the graphics. Empire Earth seemed to require a lot of wall building to finagle a win and this game is no different. Personally, Age of Empires and Rise of Nations have much better graphics. Don't get me wrong, the game's not bad, but it's not Command&Conquer Generals: Zero Hour. Now THAT's a great game.

Review: This has to be one of the best games ever, apart from the best sports game of all time (Stacey Jones Rugby Leage). I was completely blown away when I played this. I've played age of empires and all those games, but this is so, so much better. Its hard to believe but these guys have got it right!

Review: This is an okay game. There are some ideas that make it interesting and enjoyable to play, but otherwise the game is not worth buying. There are different countries represented at different epochs, and you have to chose which country you want to be as you progress through the game. I think this is an innovative idea and makes gameplay interesting. The three campaigns let you use some different strategies besides collect resources, build an army, attack, rinse, repeat. Also, each team has strengths and weaknesses, although other games have touched on this, E:DOTMW brings it to a new level. Each team has completely different units and technologies. This makes the game very interesting, and playing each team is a unique experience.
Despite the positives, there are many more negatives to this game. Although many people tout the graphics as innovative, the graphics in AOE II were pretty much the same. The AI is pretty stupid. For example, workers will sometimes get trapped between some buildings and the "edge" of the map or a group of trees. Mistakes like these were almost non-existant in AOE II. The campaigns need some serious story-line revamping. They start out interesting, but it seems like the story writers ran out of ideas and so just ended the stories without really resolving them in the same exciting fashion they started them in. The "random map" feature and multi-player ability is just like every other RTS on the market. Build up an army as quickly as possible and fight with it, rinse and repeat. The game is also lacking on units and entire countries. For example, Japan is not included in the World War I or World War II eras. Navies have no option to build destroyers to battle submarines. The USA does not have Iowa battleships during the World War II era. I'm sure that these "oversights" were done on purpose to make room for an expansion, but until there is an expansion, it is a serious lacking in the game. This is an addictive game, but has little substance. My recommendation is to go out and buy AOE II used and play that.

Summary: The New King of "Empire" Games
Review: Wow... all I can say is WOW. Does this game deliver. I am an avid RTS player with games like Age of Empires I & II, Clone Campaigns, America, Cossacks, American conquest, and Rise of Nations and this one blows them all away - easy! I have never written a game review, but had to write this to express how great this game is. Medieval period is great, up to WWII, but finally I get my favored, but much neglected Napoleonic period (Imperial age), and the art and graphics are absolutely gorgeous! The camera can fully rotate, the art is smooth and clean (not like Age of Mythology or Empire Earth, both dissapointments for me). You can zoom in right up close. The sound effects are awesome and realistic, and the scenario editor is easy to use and gives some extras. I just can't reccommend this product enough. The game is designed for "Wargamers", not farmers, so if you want to get quickly in the action and stay in it, this is the one. Plus, this game cleaned up my new Win XP system! That's right, all of my games were buggy and unstable until I installed the full version of Empire DMW, and voila! Hours and hours of fun with no problems. Must be the Direct X 9.0b the disc includes. So if there are some of you out there who may be experiencing some problems, despite a specs-rich system, maybe this game will work for you too. Plus you will love it. I never thought I would say it, but it beats AOE, and RON hands down! RTS generals, buy this game, you will not regret it.

Summary: BEST GAME EVER
Review: [Wow] this is a great game. If any of you gamers have ever played EE AOC, this game is pretty much an upgrade to the same drivers. BUT, the graphics and online play have been boosted up a noch giving you grade A performace. Also, some clans form EE AOC have moved up to empires such as **USMC**.

GET THIS GAME AND PLAY YOUR LIFE AWAY!!!...
