Summary: Ok, but lacking
Review: This is a not the type of command game i would expect from activison. Although i am a hardcore treky i dont like it. The lip movement is of and i wish you could assum a more room the ship type game with command. An Elite Force/Command game would be good in my opinion. You should also be able to go to systems you want to. Hey, overall its worth the buy, but its not the best

Summary: Armada 2
Review: Armada 2 is a great game with tons of new weapons: photon torpedos, quantom torpedos and tons of new ships. You also colonize planets, and there are three new resources: metal, latinum, and spieces 8472 uses biomatter.

I think the game being 3-d is a disadvantage, because if you are used to Armada 1 you'll build all your turrets in a 2-d formation around your base and the computer then comes up underneath you.

The Borg are way too powerful because they can fuse 8 tactical cubes to create a tactical fusion cube which has 8 lasers, 8 quantum torpedoes, a ton of special energy, practically invincible shields and can asimalate 3 special weapons from other races. I think the best combo of special weapons is the shield disrupter, corbanite reflector, and weapons enhancer. Every ship in the Klingon fleet has a weapon. Personally I stay loyal to the federation which has lots of new ships including the Galaxy class star ship which can separate its saucer section and stardrive section, which I can not understand the point of doing. The nebula starship fires much faster than it did in Armada 1.

Summary: This is awesome!
Review: This pack comes with star trek: armada, star trek: armada 2, star trek: voyager elite force, and the expansion pack for Star Trek: Elite force. I concider these games the BEST star trek games ever made, and i'm a pretty avid star trek gamer. Star trek: armada 1 and 2 are both VERY fun games, and are different enough to keep you interested in them both. Before i bought this, i had bought star trek: armada for [$$$] alone, and concidered it a great deal! Plus you have elite force, based on the quake III engine, that has absolutely awsome gameplay and graphics. plus the expasion for that game, which is a must-have. with this, you are able to explore the star trek: voyager ship, based on set designs from the actual show. For these games, I would have happily paid several times the price i bought It for (if i had the money) and would have been completely satisfied.

Summary: Depends on how you look at it
Review: Although this game has a number of features above and beyond Armada1 it also offers more instability even with the patch(at least on my machine). The warp speed feature is its best in my opinion and it allows for more ships to be built out of the box. However, when you take into consideration the extra mods that can be had on the net, this game fails by miles over Armada1. Sometimes more is not better. I would have prefered an Armada1 upgrade without more bugs.

Summary: STARSHIP HAPPINESS!
Review: I had been looking at SFC I for a long time. I had the Demo but wasn't sure about it. Then out came SFC II! As a Star Trek fan I love this game!!!! Finally a game that shows what it would be like if these majestic ships were real. Phasers, Photon Torpedoes, transporters, shields....There is a speed control for those that want a faster game. (I like the regular speed). This is s nice change of pace from FPS.

Summary: Way to many bugs. . .
Review: I was exited about the game, but could not get it to run long enough to enjoy it.

Activision was unwilling to assist in troubleshooting, but Best Buy was nice enough to take the bug ridden game back.

To bad because it started out good till it kept crashing.

Summary: Where are the Borg?
Review: Ok. Its cool, all in all. But where are the Borg?

Also, it would be great if in quick battle mode you could warp to other planets and stars.

What about custom designing your own missions?

Common guys! Develop these for the expansion pack.

Summary: Flawed, but MUCH better than the first.
Review: I wasn't terribly impressed with Armada 1. The resource collection system was uncreative, the races "mirrored" each other WAY too much (I'm still trying to find a significant difference between the Defiants and Interceptors), the ship classes differed from each other very little except in size, only 8 ships could be selected at a time, space only had two dimensions, and worst of all, the mouse control was so sluggish that playing the game was almost painful. It gave off a very half-baked aura.

Armada II, although it still suffers a few of these problems, fixes far more. The Resource collection system is the most interesting and original I've ever seen. There are more ship classes than before, and they are more distinct both within each race and from one race to another. You can select twice as many ships at a time than before. Mouse control, although still slow, is much better than before. And the battlefields are now in true 3-d! However, you still can't go over or under an asteroid belt or nebula, nor can you build one building over another, making it almost useless. It's still quite neat if you use it right, though, because you can now send ships flying under a wall of defensive turrets, or hide them at the top of the map. Heck, just WATCHING them bob up and down on the map is cool! There's even some stuff that didn't need to be improved, but was anyway! There are 6 playable races instead of 4, and even though there are fewer campaigns, each campaign is much longer, for 50% more missions overall. Borg Assimilators are now based on an actual ship from the show, instead of being "just another box" like in Armada 1. A ship's structural integrity is now a separate issue from its crew, and the ship damage and repair systems have been generally enhanced. The officer limit is a little annoying, but it is adjustable and helps to balance the game a little. You can even tell your ships to go to Warp Speed now, even though it more closely resembles High Impulse.

The most important thing, though, is how much fun a game is to play. Armada 2 has seriously upped that factor, with its Fusion Cubes and Tactical Fusion Cubes that are capable of single-handedly wiping out an enemy fleet and base. There are more special abilities, and therefore, more possibilities for clever and dastardly tricks.

This game is how Armada 1 should have been. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Summary: One of the best RTS games ever!
Review: This is an excellent game. A significant inprovement to Armada 1. You can take control of six races and battle each other in Instant Action or Multiplayer! There are three campaigns in single player, and they are very nicely detailed. A must get!

Summary: Dont Bother
Review: The Pirates arent really that great of an addition to this game. Id suggest just waiting until SFC Volume 3 comes out this Christmas. It takes place in the Next Generation Era, so there will be Borg, Romulan Warbirds, and the Klingons will be able to cloak,as well as cooler weapons and a story. The new one will be made by a different company(Activision) that makes better Star Trek games. Get this one only if you dont have SFC 2 Empires at War
