Summary: Halo for PC
Review: This is a great game. First off, if you think this game is to violent for your child, have no fear! You can change the personal settings to have neither blood or gor. For the people who don't care about that, this game is very very fun. Over 35 weapons, like 20 HUGE maps and great online fun for all skill levels. The only not so great thing is, that graphics aren't that great. If you have a good computer this shouldn't be a problem at all. On a scale from 1 to 10 this game would probably be a 9.7. I love it and i hope that you will enjoy it to.

Summary: GOOD OVERALL, SOME CONS
Review: If you haven't played Halo yet, need a new game to occupy your time, and don't want to shell out the cash for a new release like Halflife 2, FarCry, etc...Halo and Halflife 1 are good choices. Graphics are more than acceptable, not overly detailed, but not grainy or annoying. Gameplay in single player mode is lots of fun at times, but sometimes a bit repetative as you notice why the system requirments are low. (Low level detail, and overly repetative hallways and rooms at times). Weapons are fun, and you don't always have to walk, as there are fun and easily controlled modes of transportation. Don't listen to the guy ripping on it as not being the mecca of video games, it, along with the first halflife were at one point, the guy that disagrees with this makes some good points, but also compares it to FarCry and Halflife 2...which are from a completely different generation. I will agree with him that the storyline is "linear" (predictable) at times, but this is true of most games anyway. OVERALL: WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT @ LESS THAN $20 IF YOU SHOP AROUND. I LIKED HALFLIFE (original, not 2) BETTER, BUT WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED WITH HALO.

Summary: A sad downgrade from a great game.
Review: Halo on the PC was something many gamers world-wide looked forward to. But, sadly, this game is a little bit disappointing. The Good news is that it has new weapons/vehicles that the version on the xbox doesn't have. The bad news is the cruddy multiplayer. With the lack of work on muliplayer support on microsoft, bungie, gearbox, and gamespy's part allows hackers,back-stabers, and anoying little kids that can tend to piss of the avid, experienced gamer. For a little less than $20 though this game is worth the money, especially if you don't have an xbox. The single player is alright and the multiplayer is bearable in small doses. Do not listen to the system requirements on the box though, because even if you meet them the game doesn't really play well. For a good experience with this game I would recommend that you have a 2.4GHz or higher Intel Pentium4 or AMD64 processor, 40 Gigabyte hard drive, 1 Gigabyte of RAM (if you have Windows XP because its such a RAM muncher) and a 128MB NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics card or the ATI RADEON equivelent. Do not be decieved by the minimal system requirements for if you want to play this game with only 128MB of Ram and 64MB graphics card you will be very disappointed. Oh, and in response to one of the previous revews posted for this game, it worked for over 5 hours for me so I don't know what crap of a computer that guy had but it plays for much more than 30 mins straight. I would'nt recomend playing for more than 3 hours though, because you don't want to over-work your computer.

Summary: Only for very small kids
Review: This game is..rather WAS addicting until I slowly quit. I had played it for about a year and a half. Was worth the 50 bucks at the time. Countless hours of fun, whipping people online.... Awesome job bungie/microsoft.

Summary: It was ok. For MP that is.
Review: Ok, i'm not gonna play the campaign but the multiplayer, AH! But as some of you know lots of the players swear until tears come out of your eyes. But i solved the problem (I downloaded the Halo demo so this may not work with the retail version.) When you start a game if you want you should change the population to 2. Then when you type a title for your game type "Swearfree"
along with ranking (a.k.a rook.) Then that will allow your Halo server to be fast, fun, and safe. If players don't listen then exit the game (if the host exits then the player or players will leave.) Although it may be dumb you are gonna have to put up with starting over. If you don't like blood or gore go to settings, then go to video settings, and you change the textures to low. Those are the safe ways to play Halo multiplayer! Have fun with these tips! Make lots of head shots and banshee wars!!!!!!

Summary: Some Helpful Advice for Halo PC
Review: Ok not to be derogatory Mr. CaptureTheFlagFailure but maybe its not the energy bar. In fact, I find it quite easy to drive an SUV across a desert and grab a flag. Maybe you should practice HALO instead of giving it a bad review because you aren't the best the first time you play. You're not going to dominate every video game you pick up. Learn how to be the best. Find out what weapons work at what ranges, the most powerful weapons, how to lead a moving target, use grenades and so on. I will tell anyone reading this review that Halo PC is an awsome game if you have a half decent PC/Internet connection. I also recomend entering games with a low ping as they are less laggy. And if you are upset with the way others are playing, modding, or just if the level of play is too great, just find another game to play in. There are so many.

I urge you to get this game, and don't be discouraged if at first you don't succeed. Just always be courtious to other players as they are people too. If you need any help or further information on Halo PC or anything Halo please contact me at JonsHaloHelp@yahoo.com

Have fun!

Summary: I wasn't a fan of Halo ... until it came to the PC.
Review: First, let me start out by saying that Halo is getting pretty old by now (early 2005), so even though I say this game has good graphics, this game is starting to show its age compared to the latest games on the market.

When I first played this game on Xbox I wasn't very impressed. It was okay, but nothing special compared to newer PC combat games. The thing that annoyed me the most was the basic level design (which hasn't really improved on the PC) and the console controls. Well, Halo plays quite well on the PC and I personally think the graphics are "somewhat" improved.

I've read a lot of reviews on Amazon talking about people having trouble playing Halo at anything other that the lowest quality settings, but I haven't had ANY of those problems. I'm on a P4 2.8GHz machine with 1Gig of RAM and a 128MB ATI graphics card. Maybe some of the people having problems either don't have enough RAM or have buggy machines or cheap PCs they bought from Dell, but I have NO PROBLEM running this game at 1024x768 at AT LEAST 30fps and all the detail settings to high. (I bought my gaming PC from Falcon Northwest back in late 2003 in case you're wondering.)

Anyway, if you've got a good PC and are trying to decide whether or not to buy Halo, all I can say is buy this game and have some fun.
