Summary: Great Game
Review: The only game that is better for PC or any system is its newer version which has better graphics. I would recomend either game but I especially like FF7. The stortline is much more clear. The only rag is that the ending movie in FF7 doesnt contain the optional charecters(Yuffie and Vincent)The plot is the main charecter Cloud Strife is haunted by his past by another SOLDIER member Sephiroth. and the 9 charecters(Cloud, Barrett,Tifa, Aeris,Red XIII aka Naniki, Cait Sith, Yuffie, Vincent, and Cid) try and defeat. Thereare many fun mini games and Exclusive American monsters, also the game has GOLD chocoboo's. I would recomend this game to any one age 11 and older.

Summary: Best Ever? Not even Close.
Review: The game is extremely linear and quickly became boring. It is very easy. I mean there are no puzzles or challenges whatsoever. I don't think I lost a single battle in the entire game. Don't be fooled by all the great reviews. They must have beeen written by pre-teens or very new RPG players. This game is not suiable for adults. It is very good for a console style RPG with many interesting places and effects. However, there are no intellectual challenges and the story is extremely childish.

Review: Extremely linear game that becomes boring quickly. Much better than many console style RPGs but really should not be considered by experienced adult RPG fans.

Summary: A Work Of Art Not Given The PC Enhancements It Deserved
Review: I must admit that Final Fantasy 7 is more than just a bunch of pingy sound effects, orchestral quality tunes, and colorful graphics. It's more than just a waste of time.(30-60 long hours) It is an emotional mind trip that takes you into a world where you take on the role of a hero with an assortment of psychological problems, indeed human flaws. The emotional depth of Cloud's interactions with his companions is both heartwarming and sad. (Spoiler Warning) The death of Aeris at the end of Disc 1 will spur you on in hope of seeing the vile Sephiroth dead at your doing. The man against man war that his Final Fantasy 7 starts there. Cloud against Sephiroth as well as at times Cloud against Cloud. The script at times is childish and at times doesn't exactly have the greatest syntax but it works. By the end of this adventure in imagination you will be completely spent. The ending sequence is magnificent and is quite long. As far as the game itself it deserves a five and then some but the technical negligence in the development of the PC version is just unacceptable even if it maybe forgivable and perhaps understandable from a monetary perspective. Final Fantasy 7 should have had scalable resolutions all the way up to 1600 * 1200 and beyond and supported 32 bit color. The movies should have been redone to also support higher resolutions.(AVI really looks pathetic.)In summation the story of Final Fantasy 7 has a number of flaws that are acceptable and don't destroy the overall experience, but the graphically low resolution as well as compatibility issues and the grainy AVI cinematics(They were caused by stretching 320*240 to 640*480 resolution)are too much not to be a bit annoyed. In short, the translation to the PC seems to show an apparent lack of effort on the part of the developers.

Summary: A masterpiece, but go for the PS version
Review: Final Fantasy 7 is yet another gold brick in the shimmering castle of Squaresofts frequent triumphs. You will fall in love with the characters, you'll wish you could jump right into the world. The game's events are structured very well(except for the ever-present "level up before the final boss" stage of the game). The graphics are wonderful in their own right. It's just as deep and enthralling as any Final Fantasy should be.

But, to be honest, it's a hassle to bother with the PC version. It's best to get a playstation and play it that way. FF7's system requirements are strict and tend to make the game look and run worse than on the Playstation even if you have a good computer. And keyboard control is no fun at all(ironically, I used a gamepad that resembles the PS controller). And otherwise, this is a striaght port so you're not missing anything if you go for the PS version. But, if you refuse to/can't buy a playstation, this version is better than nothing and you certainly won't want to miss out.

Summary: Good but could have been better.
Review: This is the fourth Final Fantasy game released in the US. It has some great characters and amazing mini games. It suffers from the charactors being too simular and the fealing of "been there done that" with the plot. Also the PC version of the game is missing a lot of the features that should be in a PC RPG like the ability to save any time or mouse support. Also make sure you have a compatable video card or else you will have to make it 1/4 the screen size for it to run faster then 5 frames a second.

Summary: Best game ever!
Review: This is the most amazing game that I have ever played in my whole entire life. With an absolutely amazing storyline, wonderful graphics and awesome music, this is most definitely the best game ever made. After the first 10 minutes of playing, you are completely sucked into the epic story of this game. Cloud, the very attractive main character, is in an epic fight for the life of his planet, first against Shinra Inc. and then against Sephiroth, who sends a meteor that is going to destroy the entire planet if Cloud and his buddies don't do something. I was deeply touched by the story surrounding the character Aeris, who is in love with Cloud. As you follow the story from when Cloud meets Aeris to her death in the middle of the game, you become attached to this funny girl. The saddest and most touching moment in the whole game is Aeris' death, and the music at the moment is so beautiful and so sad at the same time that you just want to start sobbing. If you want the most amazing, touching, and addictive(I really mean it) game, then Final Fantasy 7 is the game for you. BUY THIS GAME!

Summary: There is a wonderful world to explore here.
Review: In addition to being a great game to play, FF7 has the most varied and most interesting world I have ever seen. Instead of going through several cloned villages, every site is different, and there are many. Also, the Gold Saucer is an entire arcade in itself. And breeding and racing Chocobos is a stitch!

Summary: THE Final Fantasy (or it should be)
Review: I'll admit it, I'm only on the 1st CD, but this game has me hooked. The graphics are incredable, the music rocks, and I just love the story. This game has depth. The best part? Materia combos. It keeps the stratagy going long into the game, and it keeps you interested. Well worth $20!
