Summary: Another great sims expansion pack.
Review: Maxis did it again! This time party's are the main focus. You can buy buffet tables, fountain punch bowls, camp fires, and even a disco stand with flashing lights when you dance on them. You can hire the usual maids, gardners, and Annoying pizza guys, as well as caterers and male or female entertainers that pop out of a cake(one female even dresses up in a gorilla costume). If your party is a sucess a celebrity might show up. If your party is a drag a mime comes and you can't get him to leave(your guests hate him). That's pretty much the run down of this game.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: This game is awesome! The graphics could be just a slight better but other than that the game is by far the best[...] game I've ever played!I like all the added stuff on The Sims House Party. There is just one more thing that should be in there if you want to make it a REAL sim game. You should have a [...] washer and dryer because how [...] do they always have clean clothes.Anyway I just wanted to let you know that this is the best [...] game i've ever played!

Summary: Great add-on for The Sims.
Review: I installed this pack and everything went wild for my Sims. They were having parties, my houses got bigger with better stuff and it is more fun. My wife is a avid fan of The Sims and she enjoys the pack, she is throwing parties for the Sims, they enjoy it. When she plays I watch, went I play I am told what to do. Oh well, it is still fun none-the-less!!! Enjoy this pack I do recommend it !!!

Summary: Is it THAT fun?
Review: After playing the other sims games (The Sims & The Sims Livin' Large) this new expansion pack would be a sinch! There were new items, clothes, jobs, and such to pick. But there is always something wrong with a game. The Sims House Party, is EXACTLY the same game as The Sims and The Sims Livin' Large. Just new stuff. Well, at first I liked it...just like everyone else. But after a while I became bored of doing stuff with the sim, like sending him to bed or eating lunch. If you have your sim's points all filled up, it's like.....well, what now? You can play the piano or guitar real well, but....so what? I really like the game.. but if they make ANOTHER expansion pack...I recommend you DON'T get it. I hear they are making a game called The Sims Online. Well, that may be fun because your playin' with online friends. But...will it really be THAT cool? I recommend you stay with the three popular sims games and try something new. Like Black and White. Well, you choose.

Summary: Not my favorite of the Sim games, but a must have
Review:

If you are a devoted 'Simmer' this game is something you will want to get.

Of the three games (The Sims and the two add-on's: Livin' Large and House Party) this is my least favorite.

House Party deals with three themes: Western, Rave and Luau.

Some of the objects that have been packaged with this game are very nice. There are some new windows and doors which is a very good thing as there can never be enough of them in my opinion. There is a transporter of sorts in the stairs section along with some new wallpapers and floors to fit the themes.

In the objects section you will find a trunk of clothing containing costumes for a toga party, an Indian costume and other fun things for your Sims to wear while having fun. A campfire around which you can sing songs, a mechanical bull, dancing cage, disco floor, DJ equipment and speakers, buffet tables, punch bowl, western-themed furniture and a trusty pay phone can also be found.

Of all the objects my personal favorite is the cake. For 300 Simoleons you can buy a cake complete with an exotic dancer. You have your choice of a male or female dancer. They are absolutely hilarious to watch and will stick around for a while after their routine. Be careful, however, not to allow the flirting dancer to anger your Sims dearly beloved! If children are present when the cake is activated a dancer in an ape costume will come out.

There are also some new skins to work with. They are tailored to the themes of the game.

As with the previous installments of the game there are some Non-Player Characters to make things a bit more challenging:
If your party isn't great a mime will show up to help you along. For me, he is equally as annoying as the infamous Tragic Clown.
The aforementioned exotic dancer
A caterer
Campfire ghost who will make an appearance as your Sims enjoy themselves around the fire
A "celebrity guest" rumored to be Drew Carey. I can't confirm that as I am yet to see him!

I have had a few problems with House Party. The intro movie will not play and I will occasionally have problems with my game being choppy. However, these problems are not major enough to keep me from liking the game.

It is also possible that you might find some of your favorite House Party objects are the objects loyal Sim fans have Transmogrified.

The game is still very worth buying as it adds a lot of fun to an already fantastic game

Summary: It's cool
Review: I bought the original Sims about year ago. then I bought Livin' large, then just recntly I bought the house party. Now this game Isn't quite, well, normal per say. It's more bazzare than anything else. You can thorw all kinds of parties in your Sims' homes along with entertainment and caterers to supply the food. You can have dance cages and floors with over 150 new items! And with new biulding styles you can make a hawaiian shack toot sweet. You can buy your sims just about anything, from a campfire to a vibromiatic heart bed! You can make your sims look totally wild and crazy with new outfits and hair doos. Sometimes mimes will visit your house, or even drew carey! (in the game of course) Now introducing cleberity gustes and more. You can make just about any neighboorhood into a party-hood! With the sims house party anything can happen! You can do anything with your sims, make them depressed, tired, dirty and unlikeable to a happy, perky sim with good jokes to tell. And you can make some sims have all kinds of crazy relationships from enemies, 2 close buds or even to a romantic one. You decide!

Summary: Good Game Bad money
Review: this game was really good. i liked it a lot but unless you have a reasonable amount of space in your hard drive the game can get really slow and it takes 2 (real world) minutes to make your sim take 1 step. But ignoring that its a really good game but if you don't have livin' large already i would get that first (thats one mistake i made). I like the new objects like the bull and campfire but the cost is really irritating. I mean its just a expansion pack! But otherwise its a must buy , after you buy the original sims and livin' large ...

Summary: Disapointed
Review: I bought this game a while back and for me It hardly had any appeal afterwords. There are no new careers just new objects which is really dissapointing because the real draw is ;what are they gonna be promoted to? When they dont add onto that aspect it has very little appeal.
