Summary: An Older Sims Fan, 30-something and not ashamed to play!
Review: I got the Sims game a little over a year ago at my mother's suggestion. I have been hooked ever since! Sims Vacation has to be the best expansion pack yet. I have to admit I was getting a little bored with the game after a while, and Hot Date really didn't do much to renew my interest, but Vacation certainly did! There are more interactions between the characters, and the fact the whole family, including the children, can actually leave the home and go on vacation together, makes is so much more fun! I highly recommend this game, especially older video game players like myself. Maxis has done it again! Thank you for such a great game.

Summary: An Older Sims Fan, in my 30's and not ashamed to play!
Review: I tell you, the Sims Vacation has got to be the best expansion pack ever! My mother recommended this game to me, and I have been playing this game a little over a year now. With the Sims Vacation, you can do so many more things. Now the whole family can actually go on vacation together and have lots and lots of fun, and the new interactions make the game a whole lot more interesting to play. I highly recommend this game, especially to older ones who like to play PC video games. Maxis has done it again!

Summary: A Sim Fantic!!!
Review: i think that the sims vacation is the best expansion to the sims yet! it is so life like, and it has so many new and good features. i also like it because your sims can go on vacation! all your sims have to do is when they think that they deserve a vacation, they just call up the courtesy shuttle, get packed, and when the shuttle arrives, go! another thing that i like about this game is that you can invite people from other families to join you on your vacation! it seems like A LOT of fun, and i would reccomend it for anyone who loves the sims, but they want a little bit more.

Summary: If Hot Date got you frustrated, this is a good comprimise
Review: I bought this game because I just can't stand not having one expansion related to my favorite game, The Sims. I was a little frustrated by the changes caused in Hot Date, and so I was a little skeptical about Vacation. To my suprise, Vacation is quite fun. You have new objects, floors, and walls as usual and some objects give new and exciting interactions between adult sims and children sims alike. I like this expansion better than HD because, you get more time to enjoy the Vacation lots you create. The one thing that I am not sure this expansion included because I have other expansions installed, is the Daily relationship bar and the Long-term relationship, which I think complicates the game, and just makes it a little too annoying. Overall I do enjoy the expansion, but until Maxis provides more game altering elements and/or a cheaper price, then its a little too little for what you get.

Summary: Best Game Ever
Review: Can you Imagine life before the Sims? I sure can't. I was the first bleepin person to get it in the world. u are all followers. Now...........How do u think I get paid 4 being the 1st 1? I can't get the bleepin on vacataion because our SOB city won't get it for another bleepin year. I was the first! I am proud to be the first one to ever get it, the best game ever. Now all of my friends and my sister's stupid bleepin friends want to borrow my game, and the go out and buy it like they were the first ones ever to get it. I STARTED THE CRAZY SIM RUSH. I am flattered that they used my 3 ideas for the expansion packs.

Summary: Yet Another E.P.- YAY!
Review: I love The Sims. Unless you are some high-powered corporate executive, how many opportunities do you get to control someone else's life? I am so glad that Maxis has kept the expansion packs coming. I have all of them: Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, and Vacation. I am no Sims newbie.

Complaint: The price of the expansion packs. I'm not saying this to be cheap, but to honestly say that it is really not worth it to spend this much for the content the purchaser receives. Sure, I buy them anyway, but they could stand to be about... less expensive.

I'm kind of bummed you can't interact with the Island's characters; they are just there to annoy, not really entertain.

Vacation is not the best expansion pack there is, but if you have played with Hot Date as much as you can, go ahead and buy Vacation for the sheer novelty of it.

Summary: Vacation is not the fun you would expect.
Review: I have all five "The Sims" packs. I enjoy the first four very much - but this one is pointless to me.

Yes, there are some new objects - and if that makes the price worth it for you, thats great. But the vacation area is a dud.

I don't use it at all - it is too expensive (in Simoleans) to rely on for making friends (use hot date's downtown for 1/10th the cost). You have to have the entire family prepared to go on vacation at the same time, which is not always easy to accomplish. They move kind of sluggishly - which in one respect is a good thing. The vacation areas are too large to easily see the entire area at once, and the sims have total free will to spend money at random. I spend half my time trying to keep them from eating from the buffet at 25 simoleans a pop.

I am really dissapointed in this expansion pack.
