Summary: Brace yourself - The Sims have Magic!
Review: In the final expansion pack to the what seemed to be neverending The Sims series (The creators are discontinuing The Sims expasion packs to head twards the future with the official release of The Sims 2 in August 2004)I could not guess how the creators descided to go out with a bang? After all, The Sims has grown to become one of the most influencial games out there, and even though this is not the end, it still marks the end of the beginning... so they HAD to go all out right?

With the introduction of magic spells amd creepy worlds, Makin magic is by far "going out with a bang" Speaking as someone who has bought The Sims, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed and now Makin Magic (I am hoping to add Superstar to my collection this week and I will probably cave in and buy Livin Large before The Sims 2 comes out)I will tell you that this game will add a new dimension to your Sims experience.

There's an all new town -- Welcome to Magic Town where you can find all your Magic Needs-- as well as participate in Duels and Put on Magic preformances (amoung Many other things)If you get enough MagiCoins you can even move into one of the eerie Magic Town lots... Just like living in a regular neighborhood.. except the neighbors are freaky and wierd stuff is ALWAYS happening (I cant even tell you the stuff that's magically grown on my lot)

There's also the ability to cast spells. Want to turn that neighbor into a frog? (watch out he may get to you first!) want to MAKE the love of your life love you? Or atleast be friends? Want to make a spell to turn you into a 'Beauty or a Beast'? How about a zombie spell? Want to turn that garden knome into a gardener or that plastic flamingo into an exotic dancer? This is all possible as is almost ANYTHING in Makin Magic.

You can even own a pet dragon! But beware.. if you mistreat him at any time your house will turn into a raging inferno!

These new objects-- Characters-- Skins-- It's all there for your enjoyment! This is bound to occupy you until The Sims 2 is released!

Summary: The Sims making magic...a review
Review: The Sims making magic is more of a fantasy than a real sims game. its for younger people who crave their sims to have that more fun and exciting life that they dream of. Unlike the normal sims you can instantly do things like making people happy etc...
i would give the game a rating of 4 stars because it is fun but also rather more like a proper 'game' where you have to do things to have good things if you see what i mean? Its definatly worth buying!

Summary: FUN!!!
Review: I'm a big fan of Sims and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I think it is cool how Willow and Tara were wiccas and now I get to experience it.Since the character Cordelia wanted to be famous, Willow casted a spell on her to be famous. I had Willow and Tara acst a love spell on Xander and Anya. Buffy and Angel help Willow and Tara get the ingredients for the spells. Did I mention if one of your Sim's dies you can perform a ressurection spell. Thats what I do with my game!

* If you have Sims superstar you can perform a spell to make them instantly become famous!

Summary: Best EP yet but its kinda conufusing
Review: This is the 3rd EP i've gotten and it's the best! who needs unleashed when you van get a pet dragon? who needs Vaction or Hot Date when you can go to magic town instead? the spells are a bit hard to find so it takes a while but, apart from that it rocks!

Summary: And Finally the BEST EP for The Sims...
Review: At first I wasn't going to purchase the newest expansion pack to The Sims, Makin' Magic, since Maxis was (at the time) releasing The Sims 2 in March 2004. I thought that I could wait. But after reading many reviews and visiting The Sims website for screen shots, I changed my mind. Although I didn't go out and buy it, I got it as a Christmas present.

I thoroughly enjoying playing this EP over the others, before this one was released Unleashed was my favorite. Makin' Magic simply makes the other EPs better, albeit cheating especially if you make the charm to become famous or use a love spell on your unsuspecting date downtown(warning if you use your spells other then your Sim's property or Magic Town, the Spellchecker will fine you). Other features present in this EP that were not in other EPs, is that Sim children came become adults (The Sims 2 not only do they become adults but they actually go through adolescence) via the Age of Instant charm, although watch out if your Sim child doesn't have high enough grades becasue they will turn back into a baby! There are many other spells that can be cast in Makin' Magic ranging from banishing Sims from your lot or conjuring up a feast fit for a king, to having the skies rain piles of gold on your lot.

One of the features that I like best about The Sims Makin' Magic is that the Sims can finally cook something other then the Maxis mystery meal. They can bake! Anything from homemade bread to cakes, and pies, however they can still have the same old mystery meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Another feature that I like is that the Sims can have their very own pet dragon! The dragons are so cool, but you have to watch out that they don't torch items on your property, one of my dragons torched the couch and killed my whole Sim family.

Even though Maxis is planning on sometime releasing The Sims 2, I still say that Makin' Magic is a must have in the Sims collection. After all Maxis has yet to release The Sims 2 and keeps pushing back the release date.

Summary: It alright.
Review: My cousin has this one. Its really really really fun for a while, but like most games it gets boring after that. Each expansion pack adds more fun to the game, but if you have all of them and/or you cheat on the game and/or you have just had it for a [LONG] time, then it gets boring. I'm not saying anything against this game, I love it, but 1-Its hard to get the right potions to be able to make kool spells. 2-If you have been a complete simslover ever since it came out or even later and have gotten every expansion or close to every one then by the time you get makin magic(...).the game gets(...).well(...).BORING! But still i can see how it would be fun if you just started playing sims. Its a cool game and I admire the Sims Creators for their Creativity.

Summary: The sims Drawing attention expansion pack
Review: The sims making magic is a another sims expansion pack, not the last though, that is a unstopable monster of making lack of attention a priority, now I know why is for Teen only, because it really makes you stay hours and hours. Please whait until the sims 2 goes out and if you are patient in 2005 or 2006 will go out the sims 3. Don`t waste your money but if you are going to buy it, put a limit folks, like 2 or 3 hours daily if not youl have a persone that spends 6-8 hours playing this game daily, belive me it has happened to me an many people, buy a soccer ball or a beisball bat insted of a game that doesn`t let you focus on anthing else. Think about it
I puted 5 stars because altough that the game is exellent

Summary: Waste of money!
Review: I thought this game was supposed to be cool. I look back and it's 9.99. Now it's 24.99. Can't you people ever keep it to one price? You change it every day. Keep it at 9.99. Or some other number. It's annoying when you look at the 9.99 price and you see that you have enough, so you decide to order it tommorrow. But the next day, it's 24.99 and you have to save up enough money still. And you have Shipping and Handling to pay still!!!!

Summary: Best Pack Yet!
Review: I think the Sims Makin' Magic is the best pack that Maxis has made. In the original game and the other packs, it was basically all the same. Wake up, eat, shower, go to work, eat, watch tv, call a friend, go to sleep with maybe a vacation or date in there or something. But, in MM, it's like a whole different world! Spells, potions, charms, dragons, and for the first time ever in The Sims, actual competitive games. The duels with the magic ingredient vendors are something totally different then any other element of the game. Also, unless you know the cheats (which every one does), in the original you have to play by the rules. In MM, the rules are bent and stretched which is very different. Another change is that Sims can actually live in another "town." If you earn enough MagiCoins, you can move into a Creepy Hollow lot which is right in Magic Town! It's really cool, you even get a different mailbox and trashcan and your road isn't paved! But, ok, back to all the changes in the game, there's still more! Yet another change is that there's different buy and build mode music for when you're in Magic Town or Creepy Hollow. I think that's because listening to the same creepy songs is really dull. There's more to discuss, but this could take all day. I like all the changes and hope you will too. I think the game has a whole new feeling and gave the original some spice. I totally recommend this pack to anyone who loves the original and the other packs but is ready for a change.
