Summary: Don't bother
Review: Nothing really new. The First one was better. Just new items thats it. The same sounds from the original. And yes if that freakin kid still whines from the first one. Wait for the 3rd version to come out! Save your money!

The only thing cool is the new 6 flags rollercoasters. Gets old quickly

Summary: RollerCoaster Tycoon: The Marketer's Expansion
Review: The words of the title basically describe this long-awaited "sequel" to RollerCoaster Tycoon. Fans had aspirations of being able to ride on your own ride, night/day, fireworks, more original sounds, more intricate shops, a restaurant, parking lot, etc. That list was out there... on many notable RollerCoaster Tycoon forums. What did Infogrames and Chris Sawyer do? They inked a deal with Six Flags, called a combination of RollerCoaster Tycoon and Loopy Landscapes with a few new features a "sequel." This game would have faired as an expansion, but to call it an original game doesn't sound right at all. The same outdated (but yes, eyefriendly) engine has been used, rides look same... everything is how it was, with a minor interface change. Other than that, it's the same game with a large Six Flags presence. I loved the first games very much. Loopy Landscapes was great, but some of the parks were too "busy" and the actual looks of the parks seemed to take away from the simple joys of building a RollerCoaster and food stand. Anyway - back on topic - If you recently got the first game and the LL expansion, then don't bother with this one. You truly aren't missing anything. I'm very sorry that this series seems to be going where the Sims has gone - countless expansions without an actual new game.

Summary: ehh....Could have been much better
Review: Well, I played Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 and couldnt get enough of it. The game play in the Roller Coaster Tycoon series has a feel to it much like any simulation game in that you must try your best to keep some form of balance working in the place you are given. Building Coasters and then watching people ride them alone with trying to keep your park clean and full of other rides, attractions, and shops keeps you glued to the screen for hours.

That being said, this game really is not much improvement on the first one. The graphics are now even more dated then ever. You cant get a very big close up on the people in the park and that makes things a bit more dull. Also, the only real improvements I can see is the new scenery (which doesnt make much difference in the park rating) and the fact that some of the rides are based on rides from Six Flags.

One problem is that if your park has been designated as a pay-at-the-door park, you can not charge a dime for the rides, even if you want to. And as stated before, The graphics of the game play has not changed at all, which makes the game seem like more of an expansion pack to Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 then it does a new game.

So in closing, While the game isnt that great, if you have twenty bucks to blow and are as addicted to the first one as I am, go ahead and get it. Otherwise, dont bother. I am curious to see if Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 (if they make one) will be more entertaining then this game.

Summary: RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
Review: I have owned this game for a long time and still find joy playing it. This game is realistic might I add. It costs mmoney to tear down trees! But realistic can sometimes be better. You can select playing on an already made park, or a real six flags park. There are six flag's rides you can buy throughout the game too. Basically what you do is buy a piece of land, have an objective, an then start building a park with rollercoasters, food places, merry-go-rounds, and a whole lot of other stuff. As you go on through the game you can buy more varied types of rollercoasters and more scenery. This game, in my view, is a must have!

Summary: Very Cool!
Review: This game is a theme park lover dream! You not only learn how to make you park profitable. You can cause a trend of popularity or a build a very expensive ride that makes tons and tons of money and you never have to take a loan out again.

Most important this game is fun

Summary: NOT THE BEST
Review: Its an ok game, but they could have made it better.
Its basicly like Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 (RCT1), exept there is more rides, and u can add music to youre rides.
Baiscly I think you shouldent get it now, because I hear that Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 (RCT3)is coming out!
Its gonna be 3d, and you can ride the rides you build.
(...) Basicly I think you should wait untill (RCT3) comes out, and dont buy it just when it comes out, cause there probebly will be expentions or something.
I hope this review has been helpful.

Summary: Favorite Computer Game of All Time
Review: First off, I will agree, that RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 is not some great changed product from the first one. The basic premise is exactly the same. However, there are many features that weren't in the first one that are in this one that make it worth owning. The addition of Six Flags rollercoasters adds a unique dimension to the park, especially if you've had the good fortune to visit any Six Flags. The option to build your own scenario is challenging, but fun. All in all, it's not a bad deal for your money, I love it, and will always put it on my favorite PC games of all times list.

Summary: This game ROCKS
Review: My brother got this for Christmas. Eventually one day I was really bored (yes, bored enough to watch teletubbies or clean the toilet) and started playing it. It did not take me long to figure it out. You can change the name of your park, which I did right away. I added all this crazy music to my rides and gave my rides and stalls the strangest names. But enough about me-- lets talk about you, as a buyer. This is a great game to play when your bored enough to watch teletubbies or clean the toilet (more fun too). You can build a normal old park and take it seriously, or you can go absolutely CRAZY!!! (you can drown people, hopefully by accident, put music on every ride, make underground rollercoasters, etc.) I would most defenetly NOT recommend this for children under 9. It can get confusing.

Summary: A Rollercoaster Tycooner's Dream
Review: This is a wonderful game!! The graphics are top notch, the music is beautiful, and the gameplay is fun for kids. It's nice to have that "brings back an old memory" experience after the first Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Up's:

More coasters/rides/attractions

Six Flags theme parks (great similarity to the real parks, too)

Lots of cool music

More ways to build a better (and more realistic) park

Down's:

The objectives are kinda hard. I haven't even won the easiest level yet!!

A few things are harder to find. Ie...the "Finances" menu.

Other than that, it's a great game!!!
