Rating: Summary: The height of the RTS Review: You'll be upset if you don't buy this one, because it's the end of an era. Monday June 30, 2003: Erich Schaefer, Max Schaefer, David Brevik, and fourth Blizzard big wig, Bill Roper all resigned.Blizzard was so far ahead of their time. Games made in 1997 are still at the pinnacle of the RTS market. They are still on the shelf. And! They still work. Blizzard already has 12 patches on WarCraft III. They were all about support and TLC for the customer. When they were were born, they had a goal to produce the best product the market had ever seen, and they accomplished their mission. This could be the last of the RTS generation by Blizzard, since they have some heavy roles to fill, and the parent company is up for sale. Super potential for collectors item. Artwork is admired by all. They had the top cinematics experts and the best pencil / concept artist in the industry Metzen, seen in the 1980's D&D work. This was the Renaissance for RTS. Rating: Summary: Dont listen to them! Review: Ok liste up, I have a athlon t-bird 1.2 gig cpu, 512 memory, geforce4 mx440 (overclocked) This game can run fine on my system! I have the graphics all the way up, antialliasing, and anastropic filtering! So to that guy who said it is slow on his Pentium4 1.6 gig cpu, your wrong! You either dont have enough memory, or your video card is slow! Im a system builder, and this game really hogs the memory and your video card. You need at least 256 megs of ram to run it, 512 will run it fine, and for the video card you need at least a geforce2 class board (with at least 64 megs of ram on that). I hate people who dont know what their talking about. As for the game its a blast, get it. E-mail me if you have any more questions. [website]
Rating: Summary: Cool expansion to cool rts! Review: Warcraft III Frozen throne isn't anything improved technically but sure offers a whole new cool storyline and new cinematics, new levels, characters, options, etc. it's cool(but not best) thus i strongly recommend it for gamers alike! :)
Rating: Summary: THE Game of The Year Review: This has to be the greatest game in 2003. Considering that Rise of Nations is just a game which can make the most units faster than the other. But Frozen Throne beats ALL the competition. It has the greatest held together story line I have seen in a game in years and it comes with a great campaign and a host of new units and heroes, and as if that wasnt enough you get free online play over battle.net. The servers are lag free even though you dont own an Alienware Area-51 computer or a Vodoo F-Class. On battle.net it takes maybe 3 minutes average to find a game you're looking for with its anonymous matchmaking service. Rise of Nations? Well there it takes an average time of 5 minutes to find an actual game that you want but I can sum it up in one word "LAG". These servers make an 8 player Diablo 2 Cow Level look lag free on a Compaq computer from 1999. The Warcraft III Frozen Throne is a "MASTERPIECE", it may have very small imbalance issues but Blizzard dedicates more time to fix these imbalances than they spend time with their families. This masterpiece is a must have for any gamer and anyone that says different is plain WRONG.
Rating: Summary: An elf would of done it better. Review: First, let me state that the Frozen Throne is by far a better game then the original Warcraft 3. For an expansion it packs a lot of new scenario ideas. Nothing revolutionary (unlike Starcraft) but a lot more entertaining and inventive then your average RTS game, even the one it is meant to expand on. I would even go so far to say that it is almost in the same league as Starcraft, which was the last RTS I ever got into and to which all other RTS are compared. Most pail in comparison to Starcraft, only the Frozen Throne passed. If like me you enjoyed the hero idea in the RTS then you will enjoy the new hero additions as well as the Orc Campaign which is essentially a miniature Diablo game done Warcraft Style. Highly recomended.
Rating: Summary: Here's A word Review: Look..If you're complaining about only 2 cinamatics,remember..IT'S AN EXPANSION!!! it's not supposed to have a lot of them..only a few slight changes..yes,not the best in the world, but..It's good for an expansion...It's good and bad, but I'd give it 4/5 or 9/10...I recomand it if you have WarCraftIII:ROC....I hope I have been helpfull..
Rating: Summary: yay Review: wat can i say? best game on earth
Rating: Summary: If you like the original, you will like the expansion Review: This is a fun, quaility expansion. Has all the Blizzard quality you would expect. I'll save you from any more in depth explanation of the game as you have plenty to read from here. Just know that if you enjoyed the original game, this expansion will just expand on that enjoyment in both single player and multi player. If you haven't played War Craft 3 at all yet, I would recommend skipping the expansion untill you finish the original game and decide if you like it or not.
Rating: Summary: bah ram you Review: this game is an expansion that made the most fun game in the world even better. pretty unbeliveable eh? BUY IT!!! BUY IT!!! BUY IT!!!
